Neocons Still Can't Believe Russia Defeated Them | Prof. Nicolai N. Petro
Russia surprised itself with its power to withstand western sanctions, absorb all economic and military shocks the West tried to inflict on it, and has come out stronger than ever before from this tragic and unnecessary war. But neocons are still in denial. Well, military realities always win over delusional fantasies. Here's what we've learned about the abilities of what the West used to laugh at as a "gas station dressed up as a country."
In this video I'm talking to Nicolai N. Petro, Professor of Political science at the University of Rhode Island. He is a great expert on Russia and Ukraine, and published just a year ago a wonderful work with the title, “The Tragedy of Ukraine: What Classical Greek Tragedy Can Teach Us About Conflict” (2023). Watch the video about his book here: https://youtu.be/xVwtFUnzO8g?si=d5X-qmxvMSFJKKTr

Ukraine War = 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
US is scamming everyone with the war in Ukraine. Ukrainians do the dying, Europe looses Russian resources, Russia has to fight, and all money flows back to megalonmaniac Washingtopolis. Neocons are evil. Biggest scam since Iraq War. #geopolitics #saveukraine #militaryindustrialcomplex #neoconssuck

The Neocon's Biggest Defeat Since Vietnam And There Is Nothing They Can Do | Ambassador Chas Freeman
Interview part 2 of 3 with former US Ambassador Chas Freeman (November 21, 2023).
For Ukraine, the inevitable defeat is around the corner. There is only the rhetorical sugar coating of the West left, but no more weapons, no more money, no more real commitment. The West has all but given up on project Ukraine (as Alexander Chiristoforou would say). This war will end the way Russia wants it to end and the faster the US and Ukraine sit down at the negotiating table, the more Ukrainian lives will be saved.
Ambassador Freeman analyses in this talk the situation and some of the options that might be possible for a future Ukrainian rump-state and a European security structure with Russia.

The Genocide On Palestine Will Come Back To Haunt The West | Dr. Mustafa Barghouti
Today I absolutely need to share with you an interview conducted by my friend and colleague, Fritz Edlinger, of the Magazine “International”, in Vienna, with Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, in Ramallah.
Mr. Barghouti is a Palestinian medical doctor and politician who briefly served as Minister of Information in the Unity Government back in 2007. His answers on what the ongoing—western sanctioned—genocidal attack on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip means are fundamental for understanding where this conflict is taking us all. Please, have a look.

Here's Why Austria Proves That Germany Should Be Neutral | M. Gehler & H. Gärtner
In the early 1950's, German reunification as a neutral state (outside of NATO) was on the table for 2 years. The same for Austria. One grabbed the chance and remained united, the other rejected it just to be separated by the iron curtain for 40 years. And today, the whole situation just got worse with the German's inside the worlds largest and most dangerous military alliance. Here's what Germany should have learned from the success of Austrian neutrality.
Happy Austrian Neutrality Day (October 26)! 🥳

So, What Are The Palestinians Supposed To Do?
This is an interview that originally aired on @thehaguepeaceprojects7229. Jakob Dejonge interviews Pascal Lottaz, who shares his thoughts on the catastrophe in the Middle East.
What exactly are the Palestinians in Gaza supposed to do now? Especially the 50% of Children living there now? And how would the global community react if the situation was the opposite? What if we were talking about 2 million Jews in a getto in the middle east and the other side bombing their homes? How to get out of this horrible spiral of death and destruction is the single most important question to stop the suffering on both sides.

The Counter Offensive Was A Scam With An Evil Purpose | Dr. Philip Cunliffe
Dr. Philip Cunliffe explains why we were bombarded with images of heroic Ukrainian fighters during the "big super duper counter offensive" (to quote the always brilliant Alex Christoforou), engaged in an assault that no Western military would have been willing to fight—against all odds and without any kind of air superiority. Why was the meat grinder such a huge thing while achieving only casualties on the side of the "offensive" force? Well. The answer is sad. It was a spectacle and always meant to be one. Listen to Dr. Cunliffe explain why and how this is and how the philosophy of Jean Baudrillard can help us make sense of the nonsense.
Dr. Cunliffe's short essay: https://www.newstatesman.com/comment/2023/09/the-postmodern-theatre-of-the-ukrainian-counter-offensive
Philip Cunliffe is an Associate Professor of International Relations at the Institute of Risk and Disaster Reduction at the University College London. He is the author of various books, his newest one being “Taking Control: Sovereignty and Democracy After Brexit”.

Ukraine: The Full Story. By Ambassador Chas Freeman
Former US Ambassador Chas Freeman explains expertly the entire history, causes, and effects of the Ukraine war, shattering the common narrative about an "unprovoked" war. The Ukraine War was very much preventable but US Neocons chose to push Kiev into the abyss to wage a bloody proxy-war for the sake of their megalomaniac world-domination phantasies. Where does this leave Ukraine, Russia, and Europe for the years to come? Listen to the Ambassador giving a succinct overview of the lessons from the Ukraine Proxy-War.

With This Dirty Tactic Sweden Was Fooled To Apply For NATO Membership | Agnes Hellström
200 years of neutrality upended by a fomented hysteria over "Russia-threat" and a war that should have proofed the opposite. But masses are easy to scare and the tentacles of the NATO lobby reach deep into the hearts and minds of political elites.
In the second segment of Pascal's talk with Agnes Hellström, a prominent Swedish peace activist and writer, the two venture into the social mechanics behind Sweden's (incomplete) bid to join NATO. The political U-Turn of the nordic country has been most remarkable—although it has been in the making for many years.
Agnes served between 2016-2022 as the Chairperson of the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society, the world’s oldest Peace Organisation, founded in 1883.
In that position she spoke out forcefully against sending weapons to Ukraine when the war broke out last year, remaining firmly pacifist. This position earned her a lot—and I mean a lot—of criticism in Swedish media.

Fighting Neocon Warmongering in Sweden | With Strong Words | Agnes Hellstrom
Agnes Hellström is a Swedish writer and peace activist. She served between 2016-2022 as the Chairperson of the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society, the world’s oldest Peace Organisation, founded in 1883.
In that position she spoke out forcefully against sending weapons to Ukraine when the war broke out last year, remaining firmly pacifist. This position earned her a lot—and I mean a lot—of criticism in Swedish media.
To digest all these experiences and reflect on the state of the peace movement, Agnes wrote a book with the provokative title “Fredsfittan” or “Peace Pussy” in English. The book is available at the moment only in Swedish but you’ll find a short abstract written by Agnes herself on our homepage: https://neutralitystudies.com/2023/10/fredsfittan-the-peace-pussy

Neocons Have Lost Ukraine And They Will Continue Anyhow | Dr. Michael Brenner
Video Recorded on October 6, 2023. Before (!!) Israel-Palestine War breakout.
Based on the essay "Defeat" by Michael Brenner. Full essay here: https://neutralitystudies.com/2023/10/defeat/
The United States is being defeated in Ukraine. One could say that it is facing defeat – or, more starkly, that it is staring defeat in the face. Neither formulation is appropriate, though. The U.S. doesn’t look reality squarely in the eye. We prefer to look at the world through the distorted lenses of our fantasies. We plunge forward on whatever path we’ve chosen while averting our eyes from the topography that we are trying to traverse. Our sole guiding light is the glow of a distant mirage. That is our lodestone.
It is not that America is a stranger to defeat. We are very well acquainted with it: Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria – in strategic terms if not always military terms. To this broad category, we might add Venezuela, Cuba, and Niger. That rich experience in frustrated ambition has failed to liberate us from the deeply rooted habit of eliding defeat. Indeed, we have acquired a large inventory of methods for doing so.
Defining & Determining Defeat
Before examining them, let us specify what we mean by ‘defeat.’ Simply put, defeat is a failure to meet objectives – at tolerable cost. The term also encompasses unintended, adverse second-order consequences.
First, hat were Washington’s objectives in sabotaging the Minsk peace plan and cold-shouldering subsequent Russian proposals, in provoking Russia by crossing clearly demarcated red lines, in pressing for Ukraine’s membership in NATO; in installing missile batteries in Poland and Rumania; in transforming the Ukrainian army into a potent military force deployed on the line-of-contact in the Donbas ready to invade or goad Moscow into preemptive action? The aim was to either pin a humiliating defeat on the Russian army or, at least, to inflict such heavy costs as to cut the ground from under the Putin government. The crucial, complementary dimension of the strategy was the imposition of economic sanctions so onerous as to implode a vulnerable Russian economy. Together, they would generate acute distress leading to the deposing of Putin – whether by a cabal of opponents (disgruntled oligarchs as the spearhead) or by mass protest. It was predicated on the fatally ill-informed supposition that he was an absolute dictator running a one-man show, The U.S. foresaw his replacement by a more pliable government ready to become a willing but marginal presence on the European stage and a non-player elsewhere. In the crude words of one Moscow official, “a tenant-farmer on Uncle Sam’s global plantation.”
Second, the taming and domestication of Russia was conceived as a vital step in the impending great confrontation with China – designated the systemic rival to American hegemony. Theoretically, that objective could be achieved either by enticing Russia away from China (divide and subordinate) or totally neutralizing Russia as a world power by bringing down its stiff-backed leadership. The former approach never went beyond a few desultory, feeble gestures. All the chips were placed on the latter.
Third, ancillary benefits for the United States from a war over Ukraine that would bring Russia low were a) to consolidate the Atlantic alliance under Washington’s control, expand NATO and open an unbridgeable abyss between Russia and the rest of Europe that would endure for the foreseeable future; b) to that end, the termination of the latter’s heavy reliance on energy resources from Russia; and c) thereby, substituting higher-priced LNG and petroleum from the United States that would seal the European partners’ status as dependent economic vassals. If the last were a drag on their industry, so be it.
The grandiose goals stated in (1) and (2) manifestly have proven unreachable -indeed, fanciful – a blunt truth not as yet absorbed by American elites. Those in (3) are consolation prizes of diminished value. This outcome was determined in good part, albeit not at all entirely, by the military failure in Ukraine. We now are about to enter the final act. Kiev’s vaunted counter-offense has gone nowhere – at an enormous cost to the Ukrainian military. It has been bled white by massive losses of manpower, by the destruction of the greater part of its armor, by the ruin of vital infrastructure...

Think Tanks And The Lost Opportunity For Peace Between Russia and the US | David C. Speedie
How is it that the West managed to squander 3 decades of peace in Europe? Why are these people so adamant about ignoring all warning signs from Russia (and China)? Why has the West chosen to ignore each and every redline of the other Great Powers? Well, the West got as drunk on power as Yeltsin on Vodka, losing all self-control. And Think Tanks had a role to play in this folly.
In this episode, I'm speaking to the creator and narrator of the documentary "Playing for Power", David C. Speedie, who is a native Scotsman and has himself worked for many years for US Think Tanks, most importantly he was the founder and former director of the Carnegie Council's program on U.S. Global Engagement and he was a founding member of The American Committee for East-West Accord.
We will be tapping into his experiences with US Think Tanks to explore more about what role these institutions are playing in US global politics and US hegemonic control.

The EU Is Submitting All Its Interest To The USA | The Monthly Daly - July 2023
Clare Daly on "the European Chips Act"
The bravado about the vibrant European industry, the Chips Act actually is just another example of Europe’s scrambling to respond to unilateral US moves to protect its interests – something the US always does with zero care for the consequences of anybody else.
And the irony, of course, is that of all of those US-dominated multilateral institutions – the WTO, the World Bank and so on – is that even dominance is not enough for them. They want everybody else to submit their rules while they do whatever they like, thanks very much. It’s their world and we’re just lucky to live in it. That’s the rules-based international order. They break the rules, and what are we going to do about it?
Well, in Europe’s case, we don’t even pretend to try and do anything about it anymore. We sheepishly submit to ‘his master’s voice’, lob a few billion subsidies at European capitalists to keep them quiet, and hope that the public money does not run out before the US ends and stops its mad quest to shove China into a box and lock it there. Because that is not going to happen. And it’s about time Europe got itself out from under the coat-tails of our misnamed like-minded partner.
Clare Daly on "Relations with the Palestinian Authority"
on Palestine, EU politics takes place in a sort of a never-never land where things can be both true and untrue at the same time. We skirt around the details of a reality. We refuse to accurately name Zionism as practised as a European settler colonial project. Israel is an occupying power; Palestinians are a colonised people.
The division of the West Bank, the checkpoints, the separate control regimes, the settlements and annexations, the systemic denial of rights: these are the crimes of apartheid. Israeli air strikes on Gaza in May: 33 dead, hundreds wounded. This isn’t self-defence, it’s a war crime. The slaughter of children from the air in Jenin: not self-defence. War crimes, illegal, without any comment out of the European Union, while the Commission President toasts the birthday of Israel’s occupation of Palestine as the realisation of a dream.
Palestinians have a right to engage in resistance. Our duty under international law is to use diplomatic means to bring about an end to the intolerable conditions they live under. But until we stop rewarding Israel, they’ll keep doing it.
Clare Daly on "the political disqualifications in Venezuela"
Why is it that every irregularity in Venezuela, real or imagined, gets a debate and a resolution in here? But when the same thing actually happens in other countries, it barely registers.
Two weeks ago, there was an election in Guatemala. The government had been shutting down newspapers, forcing judges into exile. Our own EU observation mission documented that opposition parties were arbitrarily blocked, bogus legal challenges from registering candidates limiting the field. Despite all of that, the people went to the polls and shock horror: they made sure that a social democrat got to the second round. So what happened? The old parties run to the supreme court, shout about anomalies, anomalies they didn’t happen to see on election day.
This is a blatant derailment of an electoral process in a country with a long and bloody history of same. Why is it not on our agenda? Do the Guatemalans matter less than the Venezuelans? Or is the real agenda here, as in Venezuela, protecting all money and vested interests? I condemn the attacks on Guatemalan democracy. The next round on 20 August better proceed.

Ex-Slovak Prime Minister Explains 2023 Election Results. Bad News For NATO | Dr. Jan Carnogursky
Slovakia just had a very critical parliamentary election in which the Social Democratic SMER Party under its leader Robert Fico won the biggest share of seats. With 23% of elector share—which actually translates to control of 28% of parliament—Fico is now the leader of Slovakia’s biggest party and on Monday the Slovak president gave him the OK to try to move forward to form a coalition government if he can find enough support from other parties.
Here with me to discuss the result and what this means for the future of Slovakia and Europe is nobody less than the former Prime Minister of Slovakia, Dr. Jan Carnogursky. (Video Recording Date: 2023/10/05)

America Defends Liberty In Ukraine. Really? Discussing With A Conservative | Pascal and Bob McEntee
As some of you might know who saw my online poll, I have been looking for someone to invite to this channel that I can thoroughly disagree with because so far all my guests were people whose analysis I largely supported.
I haven’t yet managed to find a proper Neocon, who would want to debate, but friend of the show David Pyne kindly introduced me to one of his colleagues who we know holds different views about the War in Ukraine, NATO, and China.
Robert (Bob) McEntee is the Utah State Director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security. He has extensive United States Air Force planning and training experience being a graduate of the US Air Force Academy. After finishing a degree in history and german he worked as a navigator and pilot toward the end of the Cold War and in the 1990s and 2000s.
I must stress that Bob does not view himself as part of the neocon crowd, but as conservative republican with a military background....

Lost Documentary Proofs US Involvement In USSR Collapse: „Playing for Power“ by David C Speedie
The following is a documentary shot in 2011 that had been lost in the archives of legacy media, having aired only once on PBS in 2012.
Common wisdom holds that the United States outcompeted the Soviet Union but didn‘t meddle in its internal political affairs to break it up. In August 1991 president Bush Sr. even gave a talk to The Ukrainian Parliament, warning them not not secede. But the United States is not a unitary actor. It‘s think tanks, oligarchs and intelligence units have a life of their own.
Thanks to David C. Speedy and the Carnegie Ethics Studio, the following program details the interactions of US diplomacy and the think tank world in what would become the end of the Soviet Union, the reign of Boris Yeltsin, and finally, the emergence of Vladimir Putin, of Russia.

Moral Mass-hysteria Happens Regularly And On Purpose. From Russiagate to Baloongate | Dr. Chris Mott
With a good moral mass-hysteria, you can do pretty much anything: from eliminating political rivals under the espionage act of WWI or with McCarthyism in the Cold War, to invading Iraq because of imaginary "WMDs". You can justify support for a relentless trench-war in Europe and again discredit political enemies as "Putin puppets" while simultaniously arguing against the integrity of one election (2016) due to "Russiagate" while upholding the next one (2020) and tarnishing any dissent again as the machinations of evil. It is truly fantastic.
Join me talk through this issue with Dr. Christopher Mott who recently wrote a brilliant piece about just that issue: https://www.agonmag.com/p/cycles-of-mania-and-the-cancelling

Georgia Narrowly Escaped West-Induced Suicide. How Did It Do That? | Giorgi Lasha Kasradze
The 2008 Russo-Georgian War has long been overshadowed by the warfare in Ukraine. However, until today it offers one of the most important and most valuable case studies for everything that's wrong with the relationship between the West, Russia, and then in-between lands of the former Soviet Union. In this talk, Giorgi Lasha Kasradze discusses all the lessons we haven't learned, or simply forgot in relation to Georgia and why it is that this small nation in South Caucasus managed to escape the fate of Ukraine. Spoiler alert: it has something to do with not being rational.
Giorgi Lasha Kasradze is originally from Georgia (the country in Eastern Europe, not the US state). He is an international relations analyst and expert on the former Soviet Union, covering mainly the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region.
He works in the US as a liaison officer for the Sokhumi State University, which itself used to be part of Abkhazia’s state university, but since the 1993 Abkhazia War has been based in Tiblisi, the capital of Georgia.

Talk About UN Reform Is Hot Air. Here Is Why.
Sure, you could make small, tiny, insignificant changes, maybe add a few more non-permanent members to the Security Council, maybe make the non-permanent members sit there for a few years more, maybe add an entirely new category of members. Yes, that's possible. But all of this will be inconsequential because the permanent Security Council member will never ever be willing to diminish their own relative power or even give up their Veto (or share it) in the council. So all and any talk about "reforming" the UN in any meaningful way that would include drastic changes to the way the 5 permanent members are wielding power will not happen. All talk to the contrary is meant for domestic consumption, not as a real proposal of a realistic way forward for the UN. Here is why.

Taiwan Will Be The Next Ukraine. A Compromise Is Needed To Stop Neocon Escalation | David T. Pyne
The US seems dead set on going to war with China. What the neocons have learned from Ukraine is that you can fight a very profitable proxy war without sacrificing a single US soldier. This model has been highly beneficial for Washington—according to their own generals. It is highly likely that the US will try to duplicate the approach with China by pushing Taiwan into an open knife. But what would be the end game? And how can this be averted if a less sanguine administration came to power? Listen to this talk by David Pyne and Pascal on the potential for deescalating the conflict along realistic lines and a compromise.
David Pyne is a former U.S. Army combat arms and Headquarters staff officer, who was in charge ofarmaments cooperationwith the former Soviet Union and other regions. He currently serves as Deputy Director of National Operations for the Task Force on National and Homeland Security.

The Power Of The Neocon Narrative Is Evil | Activist Jakob de Jonge
The war narrative is powerful but we can fight it, bit by bit. Activists like Jakob de Jonge in the Netherlands are actively working on communicating the peace message and protesting for the return to a sane European foreign policy. In this segment we discuss why many peace movements from the old days were coopted by the war narrative and how to build new grass root approaches that can fight war mentality. In short, keep it small and decentralised. Institutionalisation of movements makes them vulnerable to "the current thing", even peace organisations.
Jakob Dejonge is a Dutch artists and human rights activist, working in the Netherlands for a more sane approach in EU-Russian relations.

Why Japan Is Not As Docile As Germany And The EU | Jakob de Jonge and Pascal Lottaz (2/3)
Pascal and Jakob discuss the position of Japan in the war narrative of the West, whether the Japanese believe in the same simple tropes as the Europeans do, and how Japan is different from Germany—despite looking very similar on the outside. As so often, Japan quietly does its own thing with its very own national dynamics.

The Power Of The Neocon Narrative Is Evil | Activist Jakob de Jonge
Selling death and destruction as heroism, bravery, and humanitarianism. That's the power of the neocon narrative. Jakob de Jonge and Pascal Lottaz discuss the impact of the war mentality the neocons managed to install in Europe—a population that believes it is pacifist force for good. The ironies and cynicism my friends...

In 2014 Russia Only Invaded Crimea Why Not All Of Ukraine Dr. Anatol Lieven (2/2)
When in 2014 "little green men" without any state identifying insignia appeared in Crimea it took only days for these fighters to take over all of the peninsula, without a single Russian or Ukrainian dying. Ukrainian soldiers laid down their weapons and went home. Why did Russia not exploit the obvious weakness of their neighbours back then and invade the whole country as finally happened in 2022? Why did Russia wait for 7 years? Dr. Anatol Lieven explains how Moscows strategic trust in Paris and Berlin, were pivotal for Russia to try to resolve Ukraine through Minsk, not Weapons.
Anatol's essay on Europe and Sarkozy's proposal: https://responsiblestatecraft.org/2023/08/31/sarkozy-vilified-for-speaking-uncomfortable-truths-about-ukraine/
Anatol Lieven is Director of the Eurasia Program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. He was formerly a professor at Georgetown University in Qatar and in the War Studies Department of King’s College London.
Last week he published a wonderful article with the title “Sarkozy vilified for speaking uncomfortable truths about Ukraine” in which he argues that our beloved mass media is ignoring what Sarkozy said and instead just condemns him for saying the obvious.
