JoJo Siwa's rebrand must be stopped
Joelle Joanie Siwa (born May 19, 2003) is an American singer, dancer, actress and internet personality, mainly known under her professional pseudonym 'JoJo Siwa,' a successful brand which has accumulated over 20 million followers across Instagram and YouTube alone.
From 2015 to 2016, she appeared as a dancer on two seasons of the reality television show Dance Moms alongside her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, following a top-5 finish in the show's spinoff 'Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition,' starring Abby Lee Miller.
In 2017, Siwa signed to Nickelodeon and acted in various shows and films, such as 'Blurt' with Henry Danger lead actor Jace Norman. Under Nickelodeon, she additionally released several children’s songs - such as the song Boomerang, which discussed bullying and recieved over 900 million views on YouTube - and her own feature film, The J Team. She was included on Time Magazine's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.
On April 5, 2024, Columbia Records - a label of Sony Music Entertainment - officially released JoJo Siwa''s single 'Karma,' which was promoted as a major shift from the family-friendly image that Siwa had obtained throughout her Nickelodeon and social media career. JoJo has claimed in several interviews that she was heavily inspired by Miley Cyrus and her controversial 'Bangerz' album in 2013, which included pop hits such as 'Wrecking Ball' - which was interesting considering Cyrus had initially rejected the song in 2011, midway through her Disney contract. However, the song was poorly received by both online audiences, such as YouTuber kayla says, and professional critics; PinkNews described it as a "jarring rebrand."
In this video, we discuss this new tryhard music video, as well as discuss the recent allegations made in the Rolling Stone magazine concerning treatment of her XOMG Pop! dancers within the filming of the 2021 Peacock streaming show 'Siwas Dance Pop Revolution.'

The truth about Prime Hydration (Logan Paul, KSI sued)
KSI (Olajide William "JJ" Olatunji) and Logan Paul are influential internet celebrities who have transitioned to various entrepreneurial ventures, including their joint foray into the sports drink market with their brand Prime Hydration. Their partnership with Congo Brands, which began after a highly publicized boxing match, took a controversial turn in 2023 when allegations surfaced that their product contained per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly referred to as "forever chemicals." These substances are linked to health risks, and the presence of PFAS in consumable products is a significant concern.
Elizabeth Castillo filed a class-action lawsuit against Prime Hydration LLC with the support of the Milberg law firm in August 2023, alleging high levels of PFAS in Prime's grape sports drink.
Amidst the legal turmoil, the discourse and drama was amplified further via TikTok, when user @tommythelawyer claimed on April 20, 2024 - to an audience in the tens of millions - that he would be filing a lawsuit after a child reportedly was diagnosed with leukaemia after drinking Prime Hydration. After Paul responded debunking the allegations - tentatively asserting that there was no evidence to support the claims and that their manufacturing process adhered to FDA regulations - the lawsuit threat was retracted with a subsequent apology.
As the situation stands, the legal proceedings in relation to the Milberg-filed suit are ongoing, and the veracity of the allegations remains unproven. In this Heliophobian video, we analyse what exactly is going on and whether the claims made have any merit.

Dhar Mann goes too far (Ray William Johnson true crime collab reaction)
Ray William Johnson (born: August 14, 1981), formerly known online as Fat Damon, is an American internet personality, comedian, actor, and musician. His main claim to fame was the YouTube internet clip commentary show Equals Three (2009-2016), which featured many viral clips - the use of which culminated in a failed lawsuit by clip aggregator and licensor Jukin Media in 2014. He was also known for starting the virtual band Your Favorite Martian, which became the most subscribed music channel on YouTube during its time active on the platform. It was rebooted in May 2022 after RWJ repurchased the trademarks and other associated rights to the show from Disney, who acquired them following their purchase of Maker Studios.
On March 8, 2024, Johnson announced on TikTok that he had collaborated with Dhar Mann Studios to dramatise some of his short-form true crime content, which he has uploaded on a near-daily basis since 2023. In this video, we react to that video, titled 'Evil Chemist Tries to Kill His Neighbors' - which focuses on the summer 2023 case of Xuming Li and his neighbour Umar Abdullah, and explain why this concept, whilst decent in theory, was executed poorly by Dhar Mann and Ray William Johnson's team.
dhar mann is mainly known for motivational and upbeat/joke style videos anyway lol what a stupid idea

In defense of MKBHD... (Humane AI pin controversy)
Marques Keith Brownlee (born: December 3, 1993), also known under his online alias MKBHD, is an US-based YouTuber and professional ultimate frisbee player, best known for his technology-focused videos as well as his podcast Waveform, produced by the Vox Media network, who he additionally collaborated with on his former YouTube Original series, Retro Tech.
As of December 2023, the 30-year-old has more than 20 million subscribers across all channels and 3.93 billion total video views, with his social media success gaining him a board seat at Ridge Wallet - a prevalent sponsor of hundreds of YouTube creators. At the 10th Shorty Awards in 2019, he was named "Creator of the Decade."
Brownlee has faced significant controversy following his reviews of the Fisker Ocean electric vehicle and the Humane AI Pin. His review of the Fisker Ocean, titled “This is the Worst Car I’ve Ever Reviewed,” published on February 19, 2024 to his car channel Auto Focus, sparked debate due to its harsh criticism, particularly over the car’s software experience. Similarly, his critique of the Humane AI Pin, released on April 16, 2024, and titled “The Worst Product I’ve Ever Reviewed… For Now,” led to a viral discussion about the ethical responsibilities of influencers with large followings and their impact their words can have on the futures of companies. Critics like Daniel Vassallo and Alex Finn led the argument on X (formerly Twitter) - although both recieved significant pushback from many, who defended Brownlee’s right to provide honest feedback, arguing that consumers deserve transparent reviews regardless of a product’s development stage.
In this Heliophobian video, we look at the controversy, and question why MrWhoseTheBoss - another 10 million subscriber tech channel on YouTube, hasn't received the same criticism, as brought up by news outlets like TechCrunch.

Cosmopolitan and the predator puff piece (James Charles interview reaction)
James Charles, a popular beauty YouTuber with over 20 million subscribers, is facing backlash after a new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine where he discussed his grooming scandal in April 2021, during which he admitted sending inappropriate messages to two 16-year-old boys when he was 21, but claimed that he did not know their real ages. The interview, which was published in July 2023 and conducted by journalist Gabriella Bluestone, coincided with the launch of his new makeup line, Painted. The interview and the makeup line have received mixed reactions from the internet, with some people supporting him and others criticizing him. Some people accused him of lying and playing the victim, while others praised him for being honest and taking responsibility. Some people expressed their excitement for his new makeup line, while others said that they would not buy his products or forgive him. Additionally, criticism has been thrown at Cosmpolitan for giving him such a platform where he is painted in a good light.

This CRIMINAL YouTube prankster must be stopped (YaNike)
As we all know, the YouTube prank channel niche has become oversaturated in recent years, with channels such as Brent Rivera and AMP World taking prevalence in the genre in recent years through flashy videos appealing to a younger audience. 22-year-old @yanike.officiel has made a name for himself within the genre with a range of controversial videos he has titled 'Chef's Surprise' ("Surprise du chef" in French), in which he unconsensually throws contaminated solutions on passengers on the Brussels metro.
Following the most extreme one of those back in November 2023, the STIB-MIVB filed a police report alongside one of the victims, leading to the suspension of the YaNike channel being accessed within Belgium and an arrest in January 2024. However, in spite of that, the 'pranks' have continued in a more extreme manner, in which assault with eggs and targeting children have become just attention-grabbing activities in this youngster's pursuit of fame.
So yeah, in conclusion, please ban him, YouTube. promote me in the algorithm a bit more as well xoxo

Kwebbelkop and his insane AI obsession
Jordi Maxim van den Bussche (born: June 1, 1995) has become one of the world's most successful gaming YouTube channels under the pseudonym Kwebbelkop, accumulating over 7 billion views and 15 million subscribers playing a variety of games to entertain young viewers, such as Minecraft, Roblox and Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V). Until 2019, he was also a frequent collaborator with other gaming channels within the Robust gaming trio, namely Jelly and Slogoman.
However, recent career moves he has made have polarised many members of his community due to the heavy involvement of artificial intelligence within his content creation. For example, in April 2021, Kwebbelkop deleted a video from a channel of a former collaborator known as Liger on a channel he ran for them titled 'Tiger,' after without permission, he decided to use a GPT-3 AI language model to impersonate him and content farm during his extended hiatus. Moreover, since August 2023, Kwebbelkop and his organisation JVDB Studios have publicised their controversial efforts to push their own AI model of Kwebbelkop that will eventually be able to replace Jordi in the content creation process by being able to play games and do live commentary. Critics online, such as Optimus and AugustTheDuck, have argued making such a move would be detrimental to the spirit of YouTube in which content creators can form a controversial connection with viewers.
In this video, we discuss Kwebbelkop's newfound obsession with AI, and react to his latest updated venture on Twitter (now X) - because it's really bad.

The British Police need to be stopped...
West Yorkshire Police is in hot water after a TikTok video showing the arrest of a 16-year-old autistic girl at her home in Leeds on August 7, 2023 went viral. The girl’s mother, who filmed the arrest, said that her daughter was accused of making a homophobic comment to a female officer belonging to the British police department, but it was a misunderstanding. The video shows the girl being dragged out of the house by seven officers, while she screams and cries in pain. The girl was released with no further action, but the police said they are reviewing the incident and learning from it.
