Ethan is Online is a popular American YouTube channel focused on commentary, boasting over 250,000 subscribers. Initially known for gameplay commentary, the channel is now aligned more with the 'Breadtube' or 'LeftTube' community. In today's Heliophobian video, we react to a recent upload on Ethan's second channel, @peethan , posted on March 3, 2024, titled "Hunting Predators for Clout." The video delves into Alex Rosen from Predator Poachers, a Houston-based vigilante group. Rosen collaborated with CC Unit to expose EDP445 in April 2021 under the alias Chet Goldstein. Ethan's video offers some valid criticisms of Rosen's methods, particularly his approach of messaging men on Grindr. However, Ethan spends most of his video arguing Rosen's work is a "right-wing dogwhistle" being abused for clout and Google AdSense Revenue, compounding his flimsy points on ad-hominem attacks and the fact he did an interview with political commentary Michael Knowles from the Daily Wire in January 2024, as well as with Timcast, hosted by former Vice News journalist Tim Pool.

This video aims to provide a balanced perspective on the critiques raised and discusses how political biases can impact the evaluation of Rosen's efforts.

Other BreadTube creators include Twitch streamer HasanAbi (real name Hasan Piker, also known as hasanthehun) and transgender video essayist ContraPoints (real name Natalie Wynn).
