The ultimate adventure in Norway Trolltunga
Located approximately 1,100 metres above sea level within the borders of Vestland town of Bergen, Norway, Trolltunga cliff is the most extreme point among the favourite trails of adventure lovers. There are alternatives to reach Trolltunga. To reach the cliffs, hardy visitors have to brave a 10-hour hike from the village of Skjeggedal in Odda in Vestland. Nature lovers take plenty of drinks and food with them on the journey, which is full of obstacles and paths. There are no shopping centres between the village and the cliff. For those who want to reach the Trolltunga cliffs more easily, a new toll road was opened in 2017. Instead of a tiring ten-hour walk, adventurers who come to the region with their vehicles for a fee and park at a point close to the rocky area where the cliff is located, find the opportunity to reach the extreme point of Trolltunga after walking the remaining short distance. Trolltunga visitors, who spend a beautiful day in touch with nature under the fascinating view of the waterfall feeding Ringedalsvatnet Lake, immortalise the moment with the poses they give on the cliff. The snow cover on the rocks surrounding Trolltunga provides coolness to the visitors coming to the region with the effect of strong winds.

Submarine lost while voyaging to wreck of the Titanic CP 140 aircraft participating in the search
The search for the submarine, which disappeared on 18 June after diving into the wreckage of the Titanic with five people inside for touristic purposes, continues. After the personnel of the CP-140 Aurora aircraft of the Canadian Air Force, which stands out with its ability to provide surface search and underwater acoustic detection capabilities, announced that some sounds were detected that they thought could belong to the submarine that disappeared from under the water, the rescue teams of the US Coast Guard intensified their search for the source of the sound. A large area at the bottom of the ocean is being scanned by teams using special devices to find the submarine, which is thought to be about 4 kilometres deep. Passengers who had previously dived into the wreck with the same submarine had stated that the area where the wreckage of the Titanic was found was very dark and that the last two hours of their journey had taken place without any visibility. It is stated that only a few hours of oxygen remains in the submarine. Search and rescue teams from the USA, Canada and France are in the region.

Titan – A Viewport to Titanic
Some of the most awe-inspiring scenes included in Titan – A Viewport to Titanic are Titanic’s legendary bow, the forecastle, the good deck, the ship’s bridge and wheelhouse area, and the officers’ deck. Notably, viewers can also see the telemotor where Quartermaster Robert Hichens was at the helm and the crow’s nest location where lookout Frederick Fleet alerted the bridge of the iceberg ahead.
Areas of accelerated deterioration include Titanic’s foremast which has completely disintegrated and Captain Smith’s cabin which is now destroyed by the ravages of time, currents, and the effects of iron-eating bacteria that leave rivers of rusticles all over the wreck. The sea life that now makes the Titanic home is also to be seen including squat lobsters, rattail fish, and bamboo coral.
For those interested in supporting the continuing efforts to document and study the Titanic and the creatures that make it their home, there are still a limited number of Mission Specialist roles available for the 2023 Titanic Expedition.
