INTEL's Arc Alchemist A730M is Actually GREAT?
Checkout Jawa here please 😊: https://www.jawa.gg/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=bootsequence&utm_campaign=May24
Let’s get started with intel. So, the company has been touting their gpu’s for a couple of years now, and it's only recently that they unveiled some specs. Specifically, the specs of their mobile GPUs. We have 3 different categories, the ARC A3, A5, and A7 series. The A3 series is supposed to be available already, at least for specific Asian markets, and the A5 and A7 series are supposed to start showing up later this month in early summer.
Now in a previous video, I basically said that by having their gpu’s launch so late, the company lost all of the advantages they had against AMD and Nvidia, and I still think that for the desktop market. On the laptop side, well, Laptop GPU’s usually come after the desktop ones, so if intel actually delivers, they might have a chance to gain a lot of market share. But that’s only if they can deliver on the performance side too!
This brings me to today’s news. A benchmark for the A730M just popped up and it's actually pretty impressive. The A730M is the second-best GPU that intel is cooking up with 24 execution units, 24 ray tracing units, and 12GB of GDDR6. And the benchmark that was leaked is a TimeSpy, so we’re actually getting a good glimpse into its gaming performance.
So, the A730M allegedly scores 10107 points. That’s faster than an RTX 3070 laptop gpu at its max TDP rating, and faster than some 3070 ti’s and 3080’s that have crippled TDP’s. And once again, that’s not intel’s top of the line GPU here. The A 770M has 33% more cores than the A730M which should mean the same increase in performance.

INTEL Raptor Lake 13900K BENCHMARKED!
Subscribe to Morning Brew : https://morningbrewdaily.com/bootsequence
In the last couple of weeks, the main subject coming out of the news has been AMD’s upcoming lineup of products including Mendocino, Ryzen 7000, the zen 4 architecture and their new AM5 platform. And while I dont mind talking about team red, Intel’s upcoming products are also right around the corner, and we got some pretty leaks that just popped up.
So, this information comes from Userbenchmark. An engineering sample of raptor lake’s top-of-the-line CPU has been tested. You can see here that its a 24-core cpu with 32 threads. Specifically, it has 8 performance cores with SMT and 16 Efficient cores. One thing you might notice is how downclocked it is. While the current generation 12900K has an average boost clock of around 5 GHz in this test, what we can assume is the 13900K has an average of around 4.6. So, much lower.
On the overall bench score, this new 24-core cpu seems to be about as fast as the last generation. You can see that on their single and dual-core Normal benchmark it beats the 12900K. If we look at the Quad cores and 8 core segment, it's slightly under.
Now remember, we’re talking about an engineering sample that is clocked at about 8% lower on average than the previous gen, so this is already pretty good. then , you look at the server section where all 24 cores and 32 threads get stressed and boom. Now you can see the real performance of Raptor lake. Or at least the performance of this engineering sample. It scores a whopping 3924 points compared to the 3249 on the 12900K. A whopping 20% performance increase. Now of course a large chunk of this is due to the 8 extra E cores on the raptor lake CPU, but still. A performance increase is a performance increase. And that’s at the lower average clock speeds of the engineering sample.

They Tried to SILENCE ME Because Their Product Was MEH!
Airpod clones. Its honestly quite a lost art. You take an earbud, elongate it , add some unapologetic plastic, and voila. Masterpiece. But why is there such a huge variance in pricing? I mean airpods can set you back 240 Canadian dollars. What can you get in the sub 100$ price point, and how do they compare. Today, I have the Xiaodu smart buds S1 and the blues to test out. One of them is 25$ and the other is 80$.
I’ve been using these 2 interchangeably for the last 2 to 3 months and both these companies sent me their products in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.
Let's start with the design and battery life. The others has an aluminum case which is pretty premium. Excuse the wear and tear, I’ve been actually using them. In my testing, you can get about 2 to 3 hours from a single charge and around 24 hours total. That’s me though since I like my volume pretty high.
The xiaodu also has a solid case although it's plastic and in terms of battery life you can expect about 2 and a half hours from a single charge and about 14 hours total. Once again, high volume.
Both are IP54 rated which is good for sweat resistance.
In terms of functionality, both have tap functions.
For the others, double-tap plays, pauses and answers call, triple tap hangs up or activates the voice assistant.
For the Xiaodu, it's all double taps, and you can choose which headphone does what. Either headphone can be set to voice assistant, last song, next song, or play slash pause. It's all done in the app. [...]

The Steam Deck Competition is HERE!
So, during computex, the company unveiled something that I was super interested in. And no, its not Zen 4, and it wasnt the 600 series of motherboards. It was, Corsairs new laptop… Im kidding it was what they called Mendocino. Their everyday laptop chip for everyday people.
This chip comes equipped with up to 4 cores and 8 threads based on the Zen 2 architecture, and it has RDNA 2 graphics. All of that based on the same 6nm process node as their ryzen 6000 laptop chips. The reason why I was interested in it so much is because, well if it had enough RDNA 2 cores, this thing could be a serious contender to the steam deck. The steam deck starts at 399USD all the way up to 649 but the processor doesn't change. Mendocino laptops also start at 399 but can get more expensive at up to 699. That’s the price range they’re targeting.
And that chip doesn't have to go into a laptop. Introducing the AYA neo Air Plus. This Mendocino-equipped handheld PC starts even cheaper than the steam deck at 199USD for their community members or 289USD for anyone else. That price point definitely tingled my spidey senses.. Not in a good way. Actually are spidey senses ever good ? Anyway,s Yeah, it looks like my hopes for steam deck performance are gone.
According to both a blogpost on Weibo and then added by Angstronimics on their publications, Mendocino’s graphics would have 2 RDNA 2 Compute units. That’s 128 stream processors. In comparison, the steam deck has 512.
But Aya isnt done here, There’s one more chip that might eat at least a portion of the Steam Deck’s lunch. It’s called the AYA Loki and it has multiple configs but In that list, the one model the steam deck might be worried about is the Loki equipped with a 6600U.
Given that the company that makes the AYA neo’s usually do everything it can to use all the performance of a chip on their handhelds, the Loki might gain some market share.the 6600U model has a 6 core 12 thread cpu. It does have less RDNA 2 CU’s at 6 total, but with its higher frequency, we’re looking at 1.45Teraflops. Lower than the steam deck, for sure, but considering these usually have low-resolution displays at about 1280*800, like the steam deck, CPU performance is definitely more important. That’s why reviews use down to 720p to benchmark CPU’s. At that level, The 499 Aya neo Loki is a beast.

AMD's Zen 4 is WAY FASTER Than we Thought!
Subscribe to Morning Brew : https://morningbrewdaily.com/bootsequence
Let’s get started with AMD. ever since the company released information on the Zen 4 architecture, people have been going back and forth on what exactly AMD’s figures meant. Is a single thread uplift of over 15% relevant? does 31% faster than a 12900K mean anything? How about the cache? Is twice the size that good? is it just a refresh with more cache? You get what I mean.
The issue here is simply that we dont have all or enough information. Zen 4 has been announced, but its not in the mass production phase yet. Thankfully though, that isn’t stopping their marketing team from spilling the beans here and there. Robert Hallock has been making his rounds of interviews and he gave us quite a lot, so let us take a look at the important beans.
First, about that 15% single thread uplift. During his interview with techpowerup, He said that its basically a temporary number and that they were purposefully conservative about it. Adding that they intend to publish the breakdown in IPC vs frequency gains later in the summer. Basically, its too early to have definitive info.
In terms of the launch release, some people were wondering if we would only have high end chips at the start rather than a full lineup, and to that, robert just said that we can expect a family. This probably means a similar launch to ryzen 5000. A 6, 8 ,12 and 16 core lineup.
Oh, and adding to that, during his interview with Hothardware, Robert kind of slipped in a little gold bean. He said that sure, 16 cores is the max but.. Well let me play the clip * Look at this cheeky little face. 40%+ more performance on a zen 4 16 cores vs Zen 3 16 cores. Nice. And he even adds a little “Right now” [...]

AMD ZEN 4 : Overhyped or Sandbagging?
Checkout Jawa here please 😊: https://www.jawa.gg/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=bootsequence&utm_campaign=May24
Alright, Let’s start this journey by looking at the past. AMD has had quite the leaps and bounds since the release of its Zen Architecture. With Zen 2, AMD thought they could squeeze an 8-10% IPC uplift. We'll, they ended up with a 15% IPC improvement over Zen. With that, there was a very modest clock speed improvement. Something like 200Mhz for similar SKU's or 400MHZ for the highest-end models.
Anyways, past that with Zen 3, we got even better results with a 19% performance improvement. Even more impressive. Huge IPC uplift.
And IPC is important because it Lise Dr Su said, *Clip*architectural improvement and not clock speed improvement. - For example, at the same clock speed, a Zen 3 cpu is 19% faster than a Zen 2 one at the same clock speed and core count.
But IPC is not everything. As Lisa said, it bumps everything up, but what if you could change one part of the CPU, and that would only bump one type of workload, like gaming.
Well, that’s why we have the 5800X3D. The architecture is the exact same as the 5800X. The IPC improvement is non-existent. The only difference here is the amount of the L3 cache.
Exhibit A:, the score. AMD says they have reached over a 15% uplift in single-threaded performance. Not IPC. but performance. That’s important because it means that clock speeds are added to this calculation. If we take the 5950X which has a clock speed of 4.9Ghz and bring that up to the 5.5Ghz we say during gaming. We’re looking at a 12-ish-percent improvement in clocks alone. So is the IPC improvement really around only 3 to 8%?
Well, it's entirely possible. Some would consider this Zen 3++, but the clock speed increase is still pretty insane.

AMD's Ryzen 7000 Has EXTREME X670 Motherboards!
Subscribe to Morning Brew : https://morningbrewdaily.com/bootsequence
Let’s get started with AMD, the company finally wrapped up their RX 6000 series of GPU’s, or at least I hope they did, with their new 50 XT series. This means, no more refreshes, and we can leave RDNA 2 behind. In the last couple of weeks, many Leaks and rumors have popped up on their next generation of GPUs based on the RDNA 3 architecture AKA the RX 7000 series.
It’s interesting, but still, Just specs. What are AMD’s performance targets? What performance uplift are they looking for with RDNA3. Well, At the top end, both Nvidia and AMD have similar targets.
On the green team, 2 times the performance of an RTX 3090 is the goal. What about AMD? Well, according to kopite over on twitter, we’re looking at 2X the performance in 4K gaming, and over 3.5X the performance in ray tracing. Now, why is it specifying 4K gaming? well, according to the recent HUB video with 50 games, the 6900 XT, on average, struggles at 4K against even an RTX 3080. So this might be an area of focus for them. As for the 3.5X on ray tracing. That’s going to be really impressive if they can achieve this. Right now with their 6900 XT, they’re not far behind even beating a 3090 in some cases. So tripling that performance is an insane performance boost.

RTX 4090 Cooler Design has LEAKED! It's... the Same?
Let’s get started with Nvidia. Currently, the lowest eng GPU in their RTX 3000 series is the RTX 3050. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a super appetizing price with its MSRP of $250. And that’s if you can find it at that price. On AMD’s side, we’re looking at an RX 6400 and 6500 XT. Both at or under the 200$ price point. In the current market and in retail, the GTX 16 series is unfortunately not priced well making matching an RX 6400 in price almost impossible, unless you go all the way back to the 1050 ti. Well, it looks like Nvidia wants to change that by releasing a GTX 1630! The latest 30 series GPU since the GT 1030.

AMD RX 7000 Series Only Has ONE GPU CHIPLET?!
Let’s get started with AMD. So, in the last year or so, we’ve been hearing all kinds of stuff about AMD’s third lineup of GPU’s using the RDNA architecture. Now that RDNA 2 competes with the best GPU’s from the competition, its time to see if RDNA 3 can do what Zen 3 did to intel, but to Nvidia. AKA surpass them in the next generation.
So, here were the old rumors and leaks. Navi 31, that’s the highest end of the RX 7000 series of GPUs, well it was rumored to have 2 graphics chiplets for up to 48 workgroups. That’s 96 compute units or 12 288 Stream processors.
With that, a memory bus of 256Bit for some GDDR6 and up to 512MB of infinity cache.
Now it looks like the one thing that made Navi 31 so special might not happen at all.
The multi graphics chiplet system with 3D stacking. Now dont get me wrong, According to what we know so far, it will still be chiplet-based, but we’re just not looking at multiple Chiplets for graphics.

AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPU LEAKED, And It's FAST!
Subscribe to Morning Brew : https://morningbrewdaily.com/bootsequence
Let’s get started with AMD. The last time AMD commented on the Zen 4 lineup of CPU’s , we got this. The ultimate Processors for Gaming Rigs. Now, the focus on that slide was definitely shifted towards mobile processors. We got an entirely new fork for the laptop segment called Dragon range which focuses on APU’s with higher wattages. AMD did touch on Zen 4 for desktop cpu’s but not much. All we have is Raphael, Coming this year and the technologies it supports which we already knew about.
Now we’re finally starting to get leaks from the people who are currently testing these Raphael Ryzen 7000 CPUs. The leak comes from Openbenchmarking.org and it reveals some pretty juicy info. It past the 5Ghz by a quite a lot, is 8 cores and 16 threads all based on the Zen 4 Architecture. Its probably the ryzen 7 7700,7800 or 7800 XT.

Intel’s ARC Alchemist A750 GPU is HOW MUCH?!
Today, we discuss the release dates and prices of Intel’s ARC alchemist GPU’s.The desktop market has been a scarce place for GPU’s, and the trio of gpu’s to be released ( The A750, A580 and A380 ) are going to help the current shortage.
We also touch on AMD’s preparation of Smart Access Storage. This is either a name change for Direct storage on AMD products or its similar to RTX IO, a hardware-accelerated compression and decompression chip.
We also have the huge power hog that is the RTX 3090 ti. Someone made that furnace even hotter with a custom XOC bios going up to 890w!
Also, I might have been right on the fact that AMD is price creeping the RX 6950XT, the RX 6750XT and the RX 6650XT.

AMD RX 6950XT Beats The 3090 Ti ! but…
Lets get started with AMD. we now have more info on these refreshed GPUs. Benchmarks popped up for the RX 6950 XT and apparently, it did exactly what it was supposed to. Beat the 3090 ti. This information comes from WCCFtech who compiled the results, and you can see the Timespy scores in comparison. At 1440, The 6950 XT beats the 3090 ti by a whopping 6.5%. The 6750 XT beats the 3070 by about 4% and the 6650 XT beats its predecessor by a little over 10%.
The first thing to know about these benchmarks is that some of the systems did give different CPU's, but since graphics score seems to be used here, it shouldn't make a huge difference.
Now scores are cool and all, but here is what might rub me the wrong way. So, these models are apparently coming in to completely replace the old ones right? And realistically, with a modest overclock and slightly faster memory, we’re looking at about a max of a 10% performance improvement right? Probably more in the single-digit but still. Let’s say 10%. So what happens if AMD decides to up the MSRP of these cards compared to their predecessors? The 6950XT becomes lets say, 1100 or 1200$, the 6750XT goes from 480 to 529 or 579, of if the 6650 XT goes from 379 to 400 or 429. [...]

AMD RX 7000 Series Specs Are Solidifying!
Lets get started with AMD. So the company is preparing to launch a lineup of refreshed GPU’s in about a week. We’re talking 6650 XT 6750 XT and 6950XT. In terms of specs, so far, we’re not looking at a huge bump. Little tweaks here and there for boost and game clocks, and the GDDR6 memory gets a jump from 16GBps to 18gbps. I dont think the performance difference between the regular ones and the 50 XT models will be that big, but we’ll see.
Anyways, That’s the closest release we have, and its just a refresh. What about the next generation ? Well, it looks like the information is still changing here and there. On previous rumors, Navi 31, the highest-end chip was rumored to have the equivalent of 60 workgroups. Within these workgroups , we’re looking at 2 Compute units each so 120CU’s. And since the RDNA 3 architecture apparently has 128 stream processors on each compute units, We were looking at of 15,360 stream processors. DAMN!
Now, unfortunately, it seems like those specs were a little too optimistic since we now have a new set of numbers for Navi 31 and the slightly smaller Navi 32 chips. Legendary leaker Greymon 55 over on twitter said that the RX 7000 series would be cut down a lot more. We’re now looking at 48 Workgroups which means 96 Compute units, and 12 288 Stream processors.
It doesnt mean its a bad thing though. According to greymon, the performance goals remain the same or higher from AMD. And with the rumors floating around that the RDNA 3 architecture is a 3GHZ beast, I believe that.

Ryzen 7000 APU are Going Straight to RDNA 3!
Let’s get started with AMD. ever since the launch of Ryzen CPU’s I’ve been personally super interested in their integrated graphics. It started with the 2200 and 2400G that went up to 4 CPU cores, and up to 11 Vega cores. Then we had the 3200 and 3400G which had the same setup. Now, for some reason, past that with the 4000g series and 5000g series of chips, the Vega graphics were maxed out at 8 compute units. I mean sure, they were still better because of the super high clock speed, but still, I was a little disappointed that they dropped the 11 Vega core versions.
Anyways, Why am I talking about this? Well, now that its the end of vega graphics for APU’s we’ve been waiting for AMD to drop their RDNA-based ones. So far, with all the information that was dug up through drivers and leaks, we thought that the first to pop up would be with RDNA 2. I mean the steam deck got it, the consoles got it, so it would make sense.
But it looks like AMD is going to go straight to RDNA 3 here. Not only that, but the specs look pretty good! This information comes from Kepler over on Twitter, a reputable source in data scavenging, and he says that Phoenix, the codename for the next-gen APU, will be sporting RDNA 3 graphics. Now, this breaks the roadmap we’ve had for years now but it's still expected that it would feature a Zen 4 CPU. It could be Zen 3+ Since I mean the new 6000 series laptop chips are compatible with DDR5 memory, and APU’s are usually just laptop chips with a higher TDP, so it could be either but im leaning on Zen 4.

Nvidia’s RTX 4080 & 4070 Power is OUT OF CONTROL!
Ok, so first of all, I want to acknowledge that this is my second video in 24 hours, Go check out the other here, I'm sorry, but I saw this info at 2 AM and had to make a video about it. So,
Let’s get started with Nvidia, With the release of the RTX 3050 back at CES it looks like Nvidia has completed their GPU lineup for the RTX 3000 series. And with that, it's time to turn our attention to the RTX 4000 series.
So let’s recap what we have real quick. This week, we learned that Ada Lovelace, that’s the architecture for the next-gen graphics, Well it would be based on TSMC’s 4nm process. A process more advanced than what AMD will use for their RDNA 3 graphics. RDNA 3 will be based on TSMC’s 5 and 6nm process nodes.
Something else that has been floating around is the specs of RTX 4000. Specifically, the specs for the highest-end RTX 4090. It would sport the AD102 chip with up to 18 432 Cuda cores. I say up to because it's likely to not use 100% of the chip. Also, since its board design is compatible with the 3090ti, the RTX 4090 could sport up to 24GB of GDDR6X memory. The speed of the memory is faster but we’ll get back to that in a moment.
And with all of those specs comes a HUGE total graphics power draw or TGP of 600W. Oh, and the card would apparently still use the PCIe Gen 4 interface instead of the newer PCIe Gen 5, but that’s not an issue, Gen 4 has enough bandwidth as it is.
So what’s new? Well, legendary leaker, Kopite7Kimi got us some of the specs for the more reasonable RTX 4080 and 4070. As well as a monster that is apparently roaming Nvidia’s test chambers, but we’ll get to that in a moment.

Nvidia’s RTX 4000 Series Has an ADVANTAGE Over AMD!
It looks like Nvidia might be using newer technology than what AMD will be using for their next generation of GPUs. So, RDNA 3, AMD’s RX 7000 series of gaming GPUs, has been confirmed to be using a combination of TSMC’s 6nm and 5nm process nodes.
Specifically for Navi 33, it's all 6nm’s and for the bigger Navi 31 and 32 chips, AMD is supposedly using a mix of 5 and 6nm’s. Well, according to Moore's law is dead, Ada Lovelace, the RTX 4000 series of Nvidia GPU’s. It would use TSMC’s 4nm process. So ok ? But what does this mean ? Well, with smaller and smaller process nodes, you can get either a boost in performance, a more efficient chip, or you can have a balance of both.
Looking at all the rumors we have about the RTX 4000 chips though, it looks like Nvidia is throwing efficiency out the window. I mean at 600w for the rumored RTX 4090, we cant really say that its efficient. It's pretty surprising that Nvidia would go for the bleeding edge because this means it would cost them more to manufacture. And also, since these chips are supposed to be monolithic, it means that they get no cost savings from a chiplet design. Now, I know it's a little too early to make one but here is my prediction. I think that RTX 4000 might beat out AMD’s RDNA 3 graphics, but Since AMD is using a relatively older process node, and since they have the yield benefit of using chiplets for their GPU’s , I think that the price to performance crown will go to AMD. What are your predictions ? Put them down in the comments and we’ll revisit this later this year!

They Fixed Intel's 12th Gen BENDING CPU Problem!
Let’s get started with intel. So the company released alder lake a couple of months ago. Great comeback from the blue team in terms of performance and even value. But people have been seeing some weird issues with the CPU itself. Now as you might have noticed from many reviews online, the cpu sometimes runs pretty hot. I mean 90+ degrees celsius happens pretty often when stress testing and especially when you look at the 12900K and KS.
Well, that might not be because the chip can consume all the way up to 240 watts when on load. Apparently, the cpu itself, like the PCB and heatspreader, that might be the cause. Here is an example posted by Jisaku hibi on youtube. Right her, they show the cpu in the socket. As you can see, its not tied down by the bracket just yet. That big black thing on top of the cpu is a reference for flatness you can barely see light pass through the crack. Now look at what happens after the cpu is tied down. Now that’s a bendy boy.
It might not seem like much, but basically, this huge gap has to be filled with thermal paste and it makes for pretty bad contact with the cooler. Now intel knows about this and basically says that theres nothing to see here. Well, Thermalright doesnt seem to agree because they just released a bender correction frame for the CPU. Its a replacement to the original bracket for LGA 1700 and it bolts into the existing bracket holes to keep your cpu flat. I mean thermalright is a trustworthy company when it comes to cooling, so if they needed to come out with a solution, then we know that there was a problem.

Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake Benchmark LEAKED!
Let’s get started with intel. So, the company had a pretty amazing comeback when it comes to their consumer line of CPU’s. They went from constant and tired 14nm refreshes of the same architecture to… well 14nm again but a different architecture with the 11th generation and then they had Alder lake, the 12th gen of Intel Core CPUs, The generation that finally gave AMD a hard time in terms of performance. They didnt beat AMD in everything, but the price to performance you get from intel is actually pretty good.
So whats next ? I mean, AMD is about to flip the switch with Zen 4, a brand new architecture, and as far as we know, Intel’s next generation, raptor lake, should feature the same architecture as Alder lake, just with more efficiency cores.
Well, it looks like there is still plenty of life there for intel’s current architecture. Before I get to the leak, Just to give you a quick rundown, the 12th and 13th generation are both based on the Golden cove core architecture for the performance cores, and gracemont for the efficiency cores. Intel just enhances things here and there to give more room for better performance on the next generation. One of the things we know of for rocket lake is DLVR or Digital Linear Voltage Regulator. This allows Raptor lake to use way lower voltage, less power consumption, and of course lower temperatures. Another thing is a cache upgrade. The top of the line CPU could feature up to 68MB of cache, a lot less than AMD’s max of 96MB per chiplet but still a lot.

AMD’s RX 6950 XT Has Been Listed For HOW MUCH?
The 6950 XT has been spotted! Specifically, its a factory overclocked Gigabyte RX 6950 XT. And its price ? Well, 3 241 Australian dollars, which is about 3040 Canadian dollars or 2500 US dollars. Now, as is, in australian, everything is out to kill you, but also, everything is out to take your money, so GPU’s are more expensive most of the time. But a regular 6900 XT retails for the equivalent of 15 to 1700 US, 2500 dollars is just insane. I truly hope that this is just a mistake from a retailer. The 6950 XT isnt going to be a huge upgrade, the main difference is going to be memory speed going from 16gbps, to 18gbps, so if we see a 500$ price increase simply for faster memory, it means that we are now in the dark ages of GPU pricing. [...]
Next up , but also with AMD we got some Zen 4 news! The company held their meet the experts webinar not too long ago, and we got some juicy info on the memory side of things ! Specifically, we got the Memory enabling manager at the company Joseph Tao, Saying : Our first DDR5 platform for gaming is our Raphael platform and one of the awesome things about Raphael is that we are really gonna try to make a big splash with overclocking and I’ll just kinda leave it there but speeds that you maybe thought couldn’t be possible, may be possible with this overclocking spec.”

AMD’s RX 7900 XT Will Have 7 CHIPLETS (Dies)?
Let's get started with some GPU news. And today we got a bunch of stuff for the triforce of Graphics companies. Starting with the green team, we have an April fools joke turned into a leak. Kopite7Kimi over on Twitter had an April's fool tweet that was all about the next generation of NVidia’s GPUs. It basically broke down into the 70-80 and 90 series. Now, once again, this was a joke-ish tweet but here are the specs. 12GB of Vram for the 4070 series, 20Gb for the 4080, and 24Gb for the 4090. All at a blazingly fast 24Gbps. Yeah, that seems optimistic, especially the 24Gbps part. GDDR6X is already dangerously hot, getting it up to 24Gbps seems like a way to introduce flames into your system’s esthetics.[...]
Then we have AMD in the news because their GPU is apparently going to push chiplets to the next level. We already know that AMD’s next step in the GPU game is to split up the graphics chip into smaller chiplets. I mean, they’ve already done it on their CDNA based Instinct MI250X. But it looks like for Navi 31, the company might take another leap in the technology. Now, this information comes from leaker extraordinaire, Greymon 55, and essentially, he’s saying that Navi 31, the highest end of AMD’s next-gen, will have 7 chiplets on a substrate. 7! That’s a lot of chiplets for a consumer part.
As is, we already know that 2 of them are the graphics cores. They would be built on the TSMC 5nm process. According to what we know so far, the third chiplet should be the interconnect, or the IO die built on TSMC’s 6nm process. But he said theres 7, so what could the other 4 be? Well, he says they’re called MCD’s. One guess would be Memory Complex Dies. As in, this could be for HBM memory, but I dont think AMD is taking a chance like that again. I mean Raja did a number on them with HBM. [...]
Lastly we have intel in the news. And we’re talking future Xe GPU’s. Redfire over on twitter took the information currently available from old and newer leaks and from intel documentation and made an educated guess at what Battlemage could be.
Battlemage by the way in the generation of GPU’s that is coming after Alchemist in around 2023 or 2024. Anyways, with intel’s tile system, a 2 tile version of Battlemage would have 10240 Vector engines, that’s like Intel’s Cuda cores, and with 4 tiles, we could see 20 480 Vector engines.
This might seem like an insane amount, but we’re looking at 2023 slash 2024. AMD and Nvidia will already cross the 15000 fp 32 cores by 2023. So if they want to compete in the high end, this is intel’s chance. Redfire does say that the 2 tile config is the most likely though, especially since intel did say that Battlemage is for Enthusiasts but not necessarily Ultra enthusiasts.

Are GPU Prices REALLY Going Down?
Today, I want to talk about GPU pricing. We’ve seen them fall pretty hard in the last couple of months, but is this trend going to continue? Let’s talk about that, on your boot sequence.
Now, To talk about the future we of course need to look back at what has been happening in the past. That’s because, even in a pre-2020 world, GPU prices were already starting to shift.
Where are GPU prices going to go from here? Are we looking at the prices falling down to MSRP? Are we in steady waters, or is it just the calm before the storm?
Well, Let’s look at what is happening right now. In terms of manufacturing, it looks like delays are still a thing. [...]

Intel Explains Low ARC Alchemist Clock Speeds!
Let’s get started with intel. So, now that ARC Alchemist has been announced, intel is basically letting some of their engineers and executives trickle down some information to us. During their presentation a couple of weeks ago, they unveiled a lot of specs related to their laptop GPUs but some of those specs were pretty confusing. Or at least they deserved to be explored a little more.
Well, 2 weeks later, that is what we got from Tom Petersen, Intel’s Graphics Innovation Fellow. So the slide that I'm talking about specifically is this one. I was confused as to what exactly that clock speed was. I knew it wasn't the boost clock since we’ve seen ARC GPU's like this A350M boost to 2200Mhz a couple of times even before its release. And as is, a 30 watt GPU would for sure not have the same boost clock or game clock as a 50W CPU with the same configuration.
So what are those clocks? Well, you can think of them as the absolute minimum boost clock the GPU can achieve if its in a TDP constrained environment. The intel Fellow gave an example with the A370M. the 1550 MHz clock speed is the lowest average clock that you will see. No matter what design the laptop has. And this is specific to the lowest TDP too, so 1550Mhz, is the clock you’ll see on the 30 watt A370M in the worst environment, on a typical application.
So basically, the base clock… Should have just said that…
Oh, and also, during that Livestream, Tom let it slip that he has a desktop version of the Alchemist GPU. They were discussing the design shown during the Livestream, you know the limited edition version. And he said that he hopes to get one, and that right now, he only has “This one”. It has 3 very well spaced 8 pin connectors and.. Yeah, that’s it. It's more likely to be a prototype than a different version of the card.
