If the enemy operators turn the radar off, the missile doesn't care and flies to the last known location. This weapon could be a game-changer because it will force Russia to move its surface-to-air missile systems frequently. This eats up fuel and creates gaps in radar coverage.

When a citizen refuses to evacuate, hand them the marker and ask them to write their name and ID number on their arms and legs. Remind the citizen to also do the same for their children because this will make it easier to identify their bodies later. This usually gets citizens to leave. This strategy can be used for soldiers in combat dealing with civilians or rescue workers who are trying to get people to leave an area before a wildfire or flood.

Russa says that you must push the door to open. #3. A western media outlet says that some doors need to be pushed to open. #4. Russia uses the western article as proof that they were right. Amnesty International released a report on August 4th that essentially blamed Ukraine for civilian casualties because Ukraine was fighting in cities. This is how wars are fought in the modern era - the enemy gets a vote and sometimes civilians are in the way of a conflict because it is impossible to evacuate everyone, or some don't want to leave. This report endangers Ukrainian lives because Russia will use it as cover to kill civilians and then use this report as justification that it is Ukraine who is wrong.

The building doesn't show that much explosive damage and the beds in side the barracks are still mostly in order. The roof does not have any shrapnel damage. Due to the burn marks on the windows, I believe that Russia locked Ukrainian prisoners inside the building and used incendiaries on the prisoners.

The rising sun or uneven heating can also cause deformation. Many tank barrels are wrapped in thermal blankets to help slow or even out this process and a lot of tanks have special reflectors at the edge of the barrel to help a laser calculate how much the barrel has drooped. However, a barrel is a very sensitive and highly machined instrument which needs to be re-bore sighted once a collision like that occurs. If the barrel is bent, it will need to be replaced.

SEALs are sailors who are double volunteers. After a roughly year-long training program, these sailors are uses for very special, surgical missions. Marines are America's expeditionary force. They often operate in Marine Expeditionary Units or MEUs. These MEUs carry roughly 2,200 Marines along with integrated air support and naval gunnery. There are almost as many Marines in one MEU as there are active duty SEALs. These expeditionary units are very flexible formations which can do everything from evacuate embassies to provide humanitarian relief.

It was speculated that this was a Friendly Fire incident from a Russian S-400 anti-aircraft system. Some people have theorized that this was due to Russia's desperation to shoot down HIMARS rockets. However, HIMARS rockets and SU-34 aircraft have two different kinds of flight profiles. I believe that that the plane was shot down due to a bad IFF transponder and has noting to do with HIMARS. Initially, tactical or "Battlefield" nuclear weapons were used for command and control centers, logistical hubs, troop concentrations, or significant features like bridges where you might only get one shot at a target. But now, most of the targets previously reserved for nuclear weapons can now be struck more efficiently with smart munitions. Tactical nuclear weapons still have a theoretical role in creating a gap in enemy lines and then exploiting that gap - but Russia does not have the troops to perform this kind of maneuver. Since tactical advantages are few, but the strategic consequences are plentiful, I don't envision either side using tactical nuclear weapons. Suite 249 Silver Spring, MD 20910 USA NOTE: I realize that the detection range of the SU-25 was too far away, but I took some creative license with the video because the track looked best in that location. HIMARS stands for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Launcher System. It is used by the Army and U.S. Marine Corps for long-range precision fires. 4 of these systems were donated to Ukraine with more on the way. HIMARS rockets seem to be getting though Russian air defenses where they are striking logistics and command and control centers deep behind enemy lines. But how are these missiles getting past the traditionally good Russian air defenses. I believe that Russia has never encountered a RAM or Rocket Artillery and Mortar threat before. They are used to ABT (Air Breathing Threats) such as Aircraft and TBM (Tactical Ballistic Missile) threats, but have not learned how to deal with RAM. So the missiles are probably showing up on radar, but since HIMARS rockets don't fit the profile of an aircraft or a ballistic missile, the system doesn't know what to do with them until it is too late. Russia may be negate this by a software update or by training. More intelligence assets may be deployed or bases go to a higher threat condition. DEFCON 3 increases readiness so that the air force can deploy its fleet of strategic bombers within 15 minutes.
