July 14, 2024, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4, "Six Questions" (Full)
[Let us first consider heaven.]
2 Corinthians 12:2-4, the 3rd heaven is where God currently is, and the 3rd heaven is also where paradise currently is
Genesis 1, the 1st (atmosphere) and 2nd heaven (space) created
[1. Can those in heaven see us?]
Answer: No
Hebrews 11, the hall of faith, from Abel all the way to the prophets of the Old Testament
Hebrews 12:1, 'wherefore' the cloud of witnesses refers to the pattern of faith revealed in Hebrews 11, as it is the faith that testifies of God and heaven, and not the human sinner (the sinner did not reach heaven by being themself, but they reached heaven through faith)
[2. Will those in heaven know each other?]
Answer: Yes
Genesis 25:8, Genesis 35:29, reveals that Isaac and Jacob were gathered back together with their families in heaven
2 Samuel 12:23, David confirms that he will see (and recognize) his son in heaven
Matthew 17:3-4, implies that strangers in heaven will also be recognizable (ex: new Christians will recognize the Old Testament saints)
1 Thessalonians 4:17-18, implies that all believers will have fellowship with each other in heaven
[3. Is there marriage in heaven?]
Answer: No
Mark 12:18-25, marriage eventually comes to an end in heaven. Marriage was a picture of Christ and the Church coming together (the wedding of the Lamb, etc.), which will have been fulfilled in the near future. Will the tradition of marriage temporarily return during the 1000 year reign on earth?
[4. If a child dies, will the child go to heaven?]
Answer: Yes*
*Matthew 19:14, Mark 10:14, 'for such is the kingdom of God'. Specifically refers to the 'little children'* who cannot be held accountable for things and thoughts NOT committed. Implies that children who have committed sin are not 'little children'. Sin is known through the law.
[5. Can a person die and then come back to life to testify of heaven?]
Answer: No
Hebrews 9:27, with the exception of Lazarus, all people die once (and the 2nd death is mentioned in Revelation, reserved for a specific set of people)
John 11:43-44, Christ raising Lazarus from death. The actual primary subject of this story was Christ and not Lazarus, as it was His miracle that was performed. God does not need NDE people to testify of Him.
Luke 16:22-31, Jesus plainly stated: even if people rose from the dead to testify of God, their testimony would be ineffective
[6. Does one who commit suicide go to heaven?]
Answer: Depends (example: a murderer will NOT go to heaven, and intentionally murdering oneself is an example of bad suicide)
2 Samuel 17:23, Ahithophel was a type of Judas, and he murdered himself (hung himself) after failing to execute his plot against David. Judas also hung himself after failing to execute his plot against Jesus, without ever coming back to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and repentance
Exodus 20:13, thou shalt not kill (murder)
Colossians 2:13-14, all sins of the believer were nailed to the cross, so that the believer will no longer practice sin
Romans 8:38, Jude 1:24, Christ will present a true believer and follower as faultless
Matthew 7:23, those who continue to practice sin were never believers to begin with
Romans 5:2-5, Proverbs 23:7, one who continuously plots and meditates suicide will not make it to heaven, as they are continuously practicing sin
2 Corinthians 13:5, qualified believer or not

July 7, 2024, Romans 8:1-4, "From a Flag to a Cross", (Full)
Romans 8:1-4, the law of the Spirit is the Gospel of Jesus Christ (the good news of Christ and the salvation by grace, which He gave). The moral law was revealed by Moses and the prophets. It was not possible for man to fulfill the moral law and satisfy God's judgment for sin. Only Christ could fulfill all of the law, and was therefore qualified to satisfy God's judgment for sin. Christ fulfilled all of the 10 commandments, etc., and then was nailed to the cross. The moral law still exists today, but believers practice the moral law through the Holy Spirit
John 8:31-32, being set free
2 Timothy 2:24-26, the world is currently enslaved by the devil. People who do not yet know Christ are not free people
1 John 5:19, people of God and people not of God
Colossians 1:13, people liberated from the bondage of the devil
Romans 3:10-12, all people begin life as a sinner, and all unsaved sinners are under bondage of the devil
Romans 6:17, God can save people and the word of God is continuously given
Romans 6:14, sin SHALL not have dominion. God saves people, and saved people are given His power to act according to the truth of God
Romans 8:2, the state of being free from sin
2 Corinthians 2:11, the devil wants to produce sin or help people produce sin, to get them ensnared or keep them ensnared. As for saved people, the devil can attempt to trick, tempt, or influence them. It is an act of the will for saved people to cling to God
2 Corinthians 11:13-14, Lucifer used to be the archangel, until God cast him out from heaven (Isaiah 14). God's truth reminds believers to be vigilant of all forms of deception, etc.
1 Peter 5:8, a Greek word for a devil is synonymous to 'slanderer'. Slander is a common root of discord and chaos, and is often used to create division and conflict in various institutions and nations
Revelation 12:10, 'the accuser of our brethren'. The accuser continuously accuses people before God, and is always busy trying to frame those stories (e.g. by convincing or helping people to sin)
1 Corinthians 15:55-57, a bee stinger is used to illustrate the dominion of death. When a person became saved by Christ, Christ removed the stinger that was stuck in them
Romans 8:1-2, the removal of sin and the accompanying guilt. Believers are set on a path to move forward
Romans 6:22-23, the old slave master (devil) brought on death and the new father (Christ) brought on life
Colossians 2:8, Galatians 4:9-10, the truth of God versus traditions and laws of men. The devil works hard to keep people blinded by tradition and keep people mired in legal complexities. God does not want people to be immoral. However, the traditions of men do not always clearly follow after God. That vulnerability in the laws and traditions of men, gives something for the devil to work with. But thanks be to God who has overcome the devil
2 Timothy 2:23-26, God taking the captives away from the devil, after the resurrection of Christ
Acts, 26:18, to be set free from devil and sin. Being set free and then receiving forgiveness of sins. Being liberated and then moving forward

June 9, 2024, Job 1:1-22, "Why do God's people experience bad things?" (Full)
Job 1:1, Job was a man who loved the Lord (but he was not without sin, for all things in the flesh on Earth are in the presence of sin)
Job 1:6, on a certain day in the 3rd heaven, angels (lowercase "sons of God") assembled before God, and the arch-nemesis also mingled amongst them
Isaiah 14:12-15, before Michael became the archangel, the original archangel was somebody else, mentioned by original name here (before he was given a new name that means "adversary"), and that person was cast out
Job 1:6, even though he lost his original home, he is still allowed to come and stand before God, for a time (like visitation rights). In Revelation, he will be permanently shut away from God.
Isaiah 14:13, the anti-Christ will attempt to sit on the throne of David, but the throne of David is only reserved for Christ
Luke 4, the other time God was directly confronted by the evil one
Job 1:6, angels had to come and report to God what they had done
Job 1:7, and the arch-nemesis tries to get God's attention. "From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."- again, explains how the serpent was able to confront Eve in the garden
Job 1:8-12, the serpent made another attempt to corrupt God's creation (a follow up from Eve and Adam), and challenged the reason why Job loved God
Job 1:14-22, etc, and it came to pass that Job lost everything, his friends contended against him (in a way), and his wife was tempted to convince Job to curse God
Job 1:20-22, Job's initial mourning (he did not curse God). Contrary to Adam, Job did not give up on God. Adam immediately blamed God for giving him Eve (who tempted him indirectly by the serpent), whereas Job did not blame God.
Matthew 5:45, the current status of God's goodness: 'he makes the sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.'
Habakkuk 2:4, definition of a just person: 'the just shall live by faith', or the humble man lives by faith whereas the proud man does not
Genesis 3:16-24, because of the fall of Adam and Eve, God declared onto them, how humans would live and die, how a wife and husband would live and die, why a wife and a husband will argue with each other, why the world (the environment, the weather, etc.) would work against them as they farmed the land, and why they would struggle to survive and raise children
Romans 8:20-22, saint Paul explained why humans are caught in the natural chaos and order of things, to remind the readers and listeners of the fallen creation, all the woes that came with it, but also of the glorious future what was to come
Revelation 21:4-5, the glorious future of God. All of fallen creation will be destroyed and replaced by a perfect creation, and therefore all the woes will be destroyed.
2 Peter 3:10, when fallen creation is destroyed, there will certainly be no sign or trace of all the evil inventions and schemes (man-made designs) that used to exist in the fallen world
John 16:33, Jesus Christ reminded his followers that they were presently free from the slavery of sin, though they were still trapped in the suffering world
Romans 8:18, saint Paul reminds us that being situated in a suffering world is only a temporary state
John 14:27, a person needs to have peace with God, before they can receive the peace of God: that is a person needs to be born again (renewed by Christ) to have the wrath of God taken away, and then they will receive His peace (and now only the wrath of the world remains, until a person is taken home by Christ)
Romans 8:35-36, there is no man made problem or worldly problem in nature great enough to overcome God's solution- what person or thing will separate people from God?
John 11:39-40, 'that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?'
John 11:41, '[God], I thank you that you have heard me.'
John 11:43-44, as Lazarus rose from the dead, as Christ died and then was resurrected, those redeemed by God (born again believers) also have risen with the Lord
Romans 8:28, people's problems work for good: 'we know that all things work together for good to them that love God'
Philippians 3:7, things lost for Christ are not more valuable than all things gained for Christ
