The power of encouragement with OrangeTheory Fitness founder, Ellen Latham
We all have excuses not to do what we really want to do. We’re too old. We’re scared. We don’t have the money. What it comes down to is that there is always an excuse to not do the work.
But if we want an extraordinary life, we have to build one.
Hear from Ellen Latham, the founder of OrangeTheory Fitness, on how she built a science-based workout program that took the world by storm.
Latham is an incredible testimony to the power of encouragement. At 54 years old, she launched OrangeTheory Fitness after being a longtime fitness instructor in Southern Florida. In just eight years, she grew a one studio company into over 1,200 franchises located in 50 states and 23 countries. The business also boasts over one million members and a billion-dollar valuation.
But Latham is no stranger to failure. In fact, she was fired from her job as a physiologist at a spa in Miami when she was 40. Losing her dream job could have knocked her down but instead of asking herself “why me?”, she started asking herself “why not me?”
She took this strength and channeled it into success.
During this candid conversation, Latham discusses what she thinks made her business so successful so quickly and why she thinks OrangeTheory has the power to withstand the competition and change the fitness industry. The biggest piece of advice she gives is to lean into the importance of measuring your outcomes, both for business and personal success.
She also talks about how we can’t do anything alone. OrangeTheory has grown to the massive success it has today because of the strategic business partnerships that Latham has cultivated over time.
Most importantly, Latham talks about how going into the business with a mission in mind, rather than focusing on the bottom line, is what is most important. She truly believes that her passion for helping people live longer, healthier and happier lives is what makes her so successful. Her drive to always make people feel supported and encouraged is what makes OrangeTheory stand out.

Inflation, Taxes & Our Financial Future w/Billionaire Jeffrey Gundlach
At a private event for Tony Robbins’ most elite clients, Tony sat down with Jeffrey Gundlach, founder of DoubleLine Capital, for a candid discussion on inflation, taxes, the state of the United States Department of Treasury and Jeffrey’s predictions for our financial future.
As a bond-trader extraordinaire, investor and billionaire, Jeffrey has a strong handle on our markets and is well-equipped to make predictions of what we will see in the future. In this exclusive interview, he gives us a window into his thinking and offers ways that we can take action to secure a positive financial future for ourselves, businesses and families.
One of the best ways to guarantee a strong financial position in the future is to diversify your portfolio. Don’t invest in one place. Your investments need to include a healthy mixture of options including gold, Bitcoin, real estate, foreign stocks and cash.
Tony and Jeffrey also discussed the United States tax code and how it can have negative impacts on the economy. While many politicians suggest a blanket wealth tax, Jeffrey suggests a complete overhaul of the system. As it stands, there are too many loopholes; people with the same income often have drastically different tax rates. An overhaul would even the playing field for all Americans.
The state of the United States’ education system also comes into play when predicting the future of financial markets. It does not provide equal opportunities to all Americans. The failure of the public education system has a negative effect on all areas of life, according to Jeffrey, including the economy and your financial future.
This eye-opening conversation shows how all parts of society – financial markets, agricultural markets and education – are interconnected. They all play a role in securing a better future for you.

How ClassPass & Dave’s Killer Bread built success | Tony talks with the creators at Business Mastery
ClassPass users around the world have logged more than 100 million hours of workouts, while Dave’s Killer Bread is flying off shelves at a record pace. What do their founders attribute the success of their brands to?
At a recent Business Mastery event, Tony Robbins hosts an in-depth conversation with both Payal Kadakia, the founder and CEO of ClassPass, and Dave Dahl, the founder of Dave’s Killer Bread.
ClassPass is this decade’s first unicorn, a start-up that reached a billion-dollar valuation. But it is Kadakia’s passion for and dedication to her company’s mission of providing soul-nourishing experiences to its community that drives her daily.
After spending 15 years in prison, Dahl seized his second chance by creating healthy, great-tasting bread recipes that became Dave’s Killer bread. He sold his company a few years ago to the second-largest bakery in the nation for $275M.
While Kadakia and Dahl have very diverse backgrounds and entrepreneurial stories, they both harnessed challenges, obstacles and disappointments to drive them, rather than destroy them. They became servant leaders, dedicated to the needs of their raving fans, which translated into incredible opportunities to change the world through innovation and inspiration.

The Legendary John Wooden | Tony Robbins Podcast
John Wooden: Life Lessons - Tony Robbins Podcast
During this two-part podcast episode, Tony Robbins, along with Mary Buckheit, discuss John Wooden. John Wooden is a well-known name in sports, as he both played basketball and coached the sport for the University of California, Los Angeles. In his last 12 years of coaching, coach Wooden’s team at UCLA won 10 national championships. In his 30-year career, his teams won over 80% of their games. His numerous successes both on and off the court have caused others to seek him out for insight into his effective leadership skills.
The impressive thing about John Wooden’s success is that he helped mold players into the best they could be. Tony considers John Wooden a mentor, and believes that John Wooden truly incorporated the principles he taught his team into his own life.
“Always be more concerned with your character than your reputation,” is one John Wooden quote that has inspired Tony. The quotation says something powerful — don’t feed into what others say about you, just be the best you you can be and honor your values. This sentiment reflects the type of leader John Wooden was, and reflects what it takes to become a great coach — whether you’re coaching on the basketball court or from inside the board room.
To coach Wooden, measuring success was simple; he said, “You’re not defined by a moment, it’s what you’re consistently like.” For John Wooden, and those who share his philosophies, like Tony, they believe that success is not about merely winning or losing. Success comes down to maximizing potential. Did you put in all the effort you could? Did you maintain your beliefs while pursuing progress?
As the podcast progresses, Tony Robbins plays a previous interview with John Wooden. Wooden is now deceased, but Tony was able to interview him years ago. The extensive interview dives into Wooden’s unmatched coaching lessons while Tony extracts what anyone can gain from these insights and apply to their own leadership role.
Wooden was a man who believed in precision and practice, and taking detailed notes of his players’ actions so they could be reflected upon later. In tough times, coach Wooden found that all good things come through adversity. However, you might never realize your potential to overcome adversity unless you give the task at hand your all.
Additionally, Wooden discusses that when leading a group, it’s of the utmost importance to keep in mind that your team deserves the best. The best way might not always be the way you would do something yourself. In addition to listing other pointers regarding competitive greatness, the pair discuss coach Wooden’s Pyramid of Success. The Pyramid of Success was a tool Wooden used with his team at the beginning of every year to ensure they were all on the same page. As a former English teacher, Wooden found that evaluating students with grades didn’t always adequately reflect their strengths. He created the Pyramid of Success as a tool to better display growth over time.
How are you evaluating success at your organization? Do you have the traits and drive needed to become a great leader? Find out more about how to succeed and lead by listening to the two-part podcast in its entirety.

How to Be a Real Entrepreneur
For so many aspiring entrepreneurs, the road stops at an idea. Sure, they may build a website, design a logo, maybe even create a comprehensive business plan. But until they make that first sale, they’re still just a wantrapreneur – that is, someone who spends their time and money on everything else except creating a real business.
Real entrepreneurs, on the other hand, care about one thing: building a product or service that people want and making that sale. In this video, Tony talks to appSumo CEO and serial entrepreneur Noah Kagan, who shares his personal tips for building a business.
Noah knows that the cards are stacked against you as an entrepreneur. But the real reason most businesses fail isn’t luck – it’s failure to execute. Failure to take action. As Tony says in the video, “Knowledge is not power, knowledge is potential power. What you have to do is put it to work.” Most people overvalue their ideas in business and undervalue their execution. Everybody has a great business idea, but how many people actually get it done?
Execution trumps knowledge any day of the week, because most people aren’t willing to do the work. They’re not willing to make the tough decisions. These are the traits of great entrepreneurs, not just wantrapreneurs.
What else do real entrepreneurs know? They know that they must focus on their passion, not their product. They know that passion is what keeps you going when you hit roadblocks. They choose to start a business doing something that they would be willing to do for free – because that’s how much they love it.
They know how to feed their minds with the right material and create empowering habits. They know how to focus – and they know how to fail, productively. And they know that the people they surround themselves with make all the difference, including their romantic relationships.
Listen to the podcast to hear Noah talk about all this and more, including:
Recommendations for those who are just starting out
His top tips for identifying and recruiting the best talent
How to conquer fear of rejection and failure
Key fundamentals for scaling your business
How to leverage your network
Are you the real deal? Are you here to implement – or will your lips keep moving, while your feet stay in the same place? The road to startup success is anything but clear, leaving plenty of room for creative ingenuity. But if you don’t have the right tools and mindset, then the only guarantee you have is that your road will stop short. Transform your mindset at Business Mastery, a powerful five-day event created for real-deal entrepreneurs.
Business Mastery is the world’s premier business training event designed and hosted by the world’s #1 authority on personal growth, business transformation and peak performance – Tony Robbins. Mindfulness, Meditation & Meaning | FULL VIDEO EPISODE Tony Robbins Podcast (feat. Sage Robbins)
In this special VIDEO episode of The Tony Robbins Podcast (NOTE: VIDEO BEGINS AT 5min 30sec), you’ll hear from Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and podcast host Mary B., as they discuss why mindfulness is so important these days. They discuss how simple meditation practice can be used to maximize your mindset and prime yourself for clarity, concentration, focused attention, personal power, and living a life of meaning.
If you’re familiar with any of Tony Robbins' peak performance strategies, you know that your ability to maintain a “peak state” is a key component of living the life you desire. In today’s world of constant demands and digital distractions, mindfulness is about making your moments truly matter and living up to your full potential. Meditating can be as simple as tuning in and noticing the full scope of the present moment. It’s about your power to put your attention where you want it to be, and not on something else that someone dangles on a screen in front of you.
This is just one reason why Tony Robbins incorporates a gratitude meditation (known as his priming exercise) into his daily morning routine to center his mind every single day.
We can’t be the best version of ourselves when we are feeling stress, anger, or anxiety. How you feel – also known as your state -- is affected by the way you use your physical body, your ability to direct your mind’s focus, and the language or meaning you give to your experiences.
The incoherence of our head and heart, the jitters in our nervous system and body, make us less effective and less resourceful.
By practicing meditation and present moment mindfulness, you change your state to one of coherence between head and heart, body and spirit, self and the universe.
From this position, you can solve any challenge, create innovative solutions, and pursue your mission with purpose and clarity.
If you’re one of the millions of people who think, “I can’t meditate,” or worry that you’re meditating wrong because you can’t stop thinking – this podcast is for you!
As Sage Robbins explains, there is no “one way” to meditate – meditation and mindfulness can be practiced in many forms and expressions.
Even Tony used to think that sitting still and trying to clear his mind from any thoughts was a complete waste of time.
But he found the form of meditation that works for him – priming – which many of you have experienced at his events. It’s all about turning the volume down on incessant thoughts so you can center yourself and return to the world ready to give, do, and be more than ever before.
For you, meditation might look like running, taking a nature walk, sitting on a city bench, or star gazing. It doesn’t have to be about sitting in silence or isolation.
The gift of meditation calls us back to this present moment. Without it, we can miss the beauty of life in its purest form.
After listening to this podcast, you may be surprised at how often you naturally become aware of the fullness of life and allow yourself to fall into a form of meditation on a daily or weekly basis.

Personal Power: A 1990s Infomercial Featuring Tony Robbins and Fran Tarkenton
Take a trip down memory lane with this Guthy-Renker infomercial from 1990. In this clip, Fran Tarkenton interviews Tony Robbins about the program that started it all, Personal Power.
Personal Power was born out of frustration, and a desire to do better. After years of attending other seminars and listening to tapes from other programs that did not produce results, Tony was frustrated and disappointed. No matter how much time he put into those programs, he was just spinning his wheels.
Instead of staying stuck, he took action. Tony discovered how to condition his mind and take control of his emotions. This allowed him to consistently take actions that were aligned with his goals, rather than continue to self-sabotage himself. When he saw how well it worked for him, he turned his new systems, habits and tools into the Personal Power program.
No amount of success will make you happy if you aren’t happy with yourself first. For decades, Personal Power has been teaching people around the world how to stop achieving to be happy and start happily achieving. Rather than focusing solely on their end result, Tony teaches people to enjoy life on the way to their achievements.

Expert financial advice from Peter Mallouk, coauthor of The Path
This interview with Peter Mallouk, global finance expert and co-author of The Path, pulls the curtain back on what’s really happening in today’s marketplace – and shows you how to leverage it to build true financial independence. It’s a sneak peek of what’s in the book, packed with valuable advice from one of the greatest minds in finance: Mallouk has been ranked the #1 financial advisor by Barron’s and grew his wealth management firm, Creative Planning, from managing $30 million in assets to more than $50 billion.
From financial principles like inflation, bear markets and taxes to the psychology of success, in this video Mallouk shares a few of the most essential concepts from the book. He’ll go over the importance of getting laser-focused on your goals, an idea that Tony Robbins himself also champions.
As Peter explains, superstar athletes didn’t just wake up one day and start working out. They know their sport and they know what they have to do to win. This applies equally to finance. You need to know what you want to accomplish. You need a plan to get there. You need to measure your progress and make adjustments.
You also need to master the psychology of wealth. Even with all the right planning and the strategies, you need joy to be truly wealthy. You still need to master your emotions in order to have true control over your finances and your life. Remember, money is just a tool – without the right psychology, you’ll never feel fulfilled.

Create joy in your life now! | Tony Robbins Podcast
When you’re looking through the lens of depression, how do you see the world? How do you react to those around you? And how do you handle obstacles that come your way?
What about when you’re in a state of peace? How do you act? How do you react? Do you sweat the small stuff, or do you just shake it off? Does adversity rattle you, or are you able to approach challenges with confidence and ease?
The fact is that you will have a very different experience in life when you are in a peaceful state, rather than a state of suffering. Your thoughts, actions and reactions – these stem directly from where you find yourself mentally and emotionally. This is why Tony says that the most important decision you will ever make is to live in a beautiful state – even when life doesn’t go your way.
Because ultimately, our lives aren’t shaped by our conditions. Our lives are shaped by our decisions. And you must decide where to direct your focus. An undirected mind operates naturally in survival mode, constantly identifying and magnifying potential threats to our well-being. But the result? A life filled with stress and anxiety.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, you’ll learn how most people make unconscious decisions, based on habit and conditioning. You’ll see how most people believe that suffering is an inevitable part of life. Frustration, stress, sadness, loneliness – yes, these are emotions we may all encounter – but Tony shows us that we all have the power to step out of these suffering states, and cultivate a life of love, joy, gratitude, playfulness, growth and appreciation. Because life is too short to be mired in suffering. Make the decision to master your mind. Choose a beautiful state, and start living the life you were meant to.

Choose Carefully! Words Have Power | The Tony Robbins Podcast
Welcome to another family edition of The Tony Robbins Podcast. In this intimate AT-HOME VIDEO conversation, you'll hear from Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and their surrogate and family podcast host, Mary B., as they explore the profound POWER of OUR SPOKEN WORDS. In a world where words carry an invisible but undeniable currency, our emotions and therefore the quality of our lives are sculpted by the meanings embedded in the words we choose.
There's power and responsibility within the words we attach to our experience of life – whether in the boardroom, family room, or across the airwaves. If you're feeling “stuck”, “anxiety,” “enraged,” “delighted,” “curious,” or even “depressed,” Tony shows us how to take inventory of the words we consistently use to describe our experience, and how we can consciously select our words to alter our experience of life.
This isn't your typical self-affirmation exercise; it's a powerful exploration of incantations, decrees, prayer, conversation, internal dialogue, and a practice that transformed Tony's life during the challenging times of his early years.
Listen to Tony's personal testimony as he shares -- during despair and uncertainty -- how he turned to incantations as a source of strength and transformation. From being broke and sleeping in a Volkswagen to who he is as a leader, husband, and father today, Tony's incantations have been a constant companion on his 46-year journey of growth, contribution, and impact.
As a modern family constellation, Sage, Mary, and Tony also shed light on the transformational vocabulary and the language ratios they work to implement in their home, as well as the contemporary relevance of the power of spoken words, when it comes to the timely topic of freedom of speech and expression. It's an important reminder that our habitual words hold weight in contributing to the broader dialogue that’s shaping our world and our collective relationship with humanity.
Join us for more than just a chat – it's a journey into the power of language. Every word carries the ability to shape, transform, and awaken something within you and NOW is the time to harness this power and use it as we move forward into a new year!SHOW NOTES:

Shaun White’s Ultimate Redemption
Tony Robbins uncovers the art – and science – of the comeback in this interview with snowboard legend Shaun White. As a three-time Olympic gold medalist and world record holder, Shaun knows a thing or two about success. He turned snowboard pro at 13 and skateboard pro at 16. He has the most wins of anybody in the history of the extreme sports event the X Games.
His phenomenal wins didn’t come without a fight. How can you take those hits and come back? The answer lies in a deep sense of self-belief. Shaun started life with asthma and a heart defect that required surgery, but his parents never put boundaries on what he could accomplish. He says, “From the get go I believed I could do it. I saw the pros and I knew I could get to that point.” You too can create this deep belief in yourself using the tips at https://www.tonyrobbins.com/building-....
Shaun also used his failures as fuel. Instead of being defeated, losing drove his desire to win. And make no mistake – to Shaun, second place or a silver medal was losing. When he was injured at 17 and he only earned fourth place, he was destroyed. Yet he used that loss to push himself, and the next year he won every competition he entered. Shaun says, “It’s the little things that can push it over the edge. If you get second place, don’t party. Hit the gym. I always try to think of ways to go that extra mile.” And it shows.
Shaun faced another pivotal moment in the 2018 Olympics. Four years earlier at Sochi, he finished a disappointing fourth place in his best event, the halfpipe. At the time, he admitted he just didn’t have it in him. The excitement of snowboarding was gone. But then came 2018. Shaun had to do back-to-back 1440s to beat Ayumu Hirano – and he did. He used visualization to make his goals a reality. You can read up on visualization at https://www.tonyrobbins.com/how-to-fo... and learn more strategies for success at Unleash the Power Within.

How to Make the Decision to do the Impossible | Tony Robbins Podcast
How to Make the Decision to do the Impossible - Tony Robbins Podcast
The fear of failure affects millions of people around the world – whether they admit it or not! Many people have big dreams, but they fail to act because they’re so afraid of disappointment. In this episode of the Tony Robbins podcast, Tony, Mary Buckheit
and Siri Lindley discuss how to overcome fear of failure to pursue your greatest passion.
Siri Lindley is a top-tier athlete who graduated from Brown University. After playing three collegiate sports, she graduated and became the number one triathlete on the planet.
Top athletes can be a prime example of overcoming fear of failure. Olympians decide from a young age that they are willing to compete with people from across the globe to be the best in their sport. What drives these people to pursue excellence? What’s their mindset like? Whether you’re an athlete or a business owner, you have to learn how to overcome failure. Because no matter what, you will fail. You might fail hundreds of times. But the failures don’t matter. Instead, it’s how you react to these failures. Whether you move forward or not after a great disappointment is what defines you in your field.
So how do you go from taking a seemingly impossible goal and making it real? Whether you’re applying this to your personal or professional life, you will learn how to build sustainable success in anything you pursue.
Like many people, Siri doubted herself. She didn’t know what she was capable of after graduating college. She felt alone without a team. After learning about triathlons, she immediately knew she would take part in this incredible challenge. Although she was in pique physical shape, she didn’t have much experience swimming but she didn’t let that deter her interest in the event.
Siri’s dreams were monumental. Initially, her training wasn’t promising, but she still told her friends and family that she wanted to become the best triathlete in the world. She experienced bitter failure the first few races she took part in. But what makes Siri different than the other competitors that failed that day? She persisted.
Even though she didn’t win those first few races, she recognized the hunger that triathlons brought out in her. She was excited to try again and would do anything to make it happen. Siri recognized that she never wanted anything more in her entire life. Although she was a terrible competitor at first, she was willing to put in the work it took to become an incredible triathlete.
The single most important ingredient for success is hunger. Overcoming failure is an essential skill you’ll need to learn on your path to success. And if you’re like Siri and have a huge hunger for your passion, you’ll recognize that fear of failure is not nearly as terrifying as the fear of not trying at all.
To hear the extensive interview with the iconic Siri Lindley, listen to this podcast in its entirety.

The Future of Food, Energy and Space | Tony Robbins Podcast
This past year was a trying one for all of us, and this new year has started off with challenges, too. It would be easy to believe that we as a society are headed in a negative direction, to be fearful of the future – but as Tony says, Fear is simply imagination undirected. What happens when you give direction to your imagination? That’s what we call faith.
Faith is not learned, it’s something we are born with. Faith is what fuels us through times of fear and uncertainty. It is more powerful than any emotion, even fear. When all hell is breaking loose, it gives us the ability to find our center, to help ourselves and others to find answers, to find a higher meaning in the midst of our pain and in spite of our fear. And if you’re a leader, you take that certainty and transfer it into others, because human conviction has a viral effect and will spread. Faith is knowing that at our core we're more than anything we will ever face, and we can handle whatever life brings us. We always have and we always will. That is the power of the human race.
In this episode, Tony sits down with four extraordinary human beings that are working to solve major global issues, who believe so strongly in their solutions and have so much certainty that it’s almost contagious!
These four leaders are not only world changing technology experts, but the founders and CEOs of companies that are bringing the stuff of science-fiction novels to life. And faster than anyone thought possible. They're doing things that will change the lives of billions of people all across the globe. Their ultimate outcome is to increase that quality of life for everyone in existence and for generations to come.
In this episode, you will learn about:
The future of food. Hear from CEO and co-founder of Upward Farms, Jason Green. (Yes, you read that right – he may indeed have a green thumb!) Upward Farms is a Brooklyn-based indoor aquaponic farm sustainably growing leafy greens and fish with the highest ecological and quality standards. Jason is changing the way we grow food and challenging the environmentally devastating practices we’ve been using for so long.
The future of energy. Learn from the genius mind behind the monetization of search words, Bill Gross, whose company, Idealab, is the longest running technology incubator in the history of the world. He’s taking on sustainable energy like no human on earth has done before.
The future of space. Hear from Mikhail Kokoruch, CEO of Momentus, a space transportation company. Mikhail’s commercial and private space travel is the stuff of every sci-fi lover's dreams. But he’s taking it from beyond the pages of books and movies and making it real with special water propulsion technology. And he’s not just stopping at transportation.
The future of business. Tony pulls insights from founder and general partner of Prime Movers Lab, Dakin Sloss. His company is all about seeing the value in people’s visions for starting new companies, and providing the funding and guidance to get them off the ground. But these aren’t your average entrepreneurial startups, these are companies that will change the way we experience life.
Most of you know that Tony is incredibly passionate about anything that can increase the quality of people's lives. He’s obsessed with finding answers and solutions. He’s also obsessed with finding entrepreneurs and companies that are on the brink changing the world and being a part of that in any way he can. For Tony, this usually means more than just investing with them financially, but going on a journey with them, and investing on a soul-level. We hope you enjoy this episode!

The #1 Secret to Productivity | Tony Robbins Podcast
Many times in life, we credit someone’s successes or failures to will power.
If you’re able to power through a challenging task and succeed, you’ll be applauded for your impressive display of will power. If you fail to reach a major milestone, you blame yourself for not having enough will power. But will power alone isn’t enough to help you reach the success you crave – it all comes down to the power of habit. What are you doing to form the habits that will make you feel better in business and in your life in general? What habits are you forming and practicing that enable you to be the most authentic, successful, joyful version of yourself possible? On the other hand, what habits are holding you back from achieving all that you’re truly capable of?
You have to understand the power of habit and put it to work for you. To do this, you need to understand the evolution of a habit and recognize when you’re forming and practicing habits, be they good or bad. In this practice, you become able to achieve more in your professional and personal life. If you’re running your own business, you can get customers to modify their habits and form new ones by purchasing your products or services.
In this video, you’ll hear from Charles Duhigg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter and author of the bestselling book, “The Power of Habit,” and the novel, “Smarter Better Faster.”
Duhigg began studying the power of habits after he worked as a junior reporter, covering war stories in Iraq. Duhigg, along with Tony Robbins’ Podcast host Ana Yoerg, dive into what it takes to form and maintain a powerful habit.
Duhigg explores bad and good habits, and how many of the things we think of as choices in our lives are actually the result of habits we’ve been practicing – sometimes without even realizing it. We often respond to a cue *which triggers that habit to start), a routine, which is how we typically respond to the cue, and finally, a reward. That reward is the signifying act that teaches our brain to remember that pattern, ultimately triggering all of our habits, good and bad.
It’s never too late to break new habits and reestablish old ones. Tune in to this powerful discussion and discover how habits can transform our businesses, communities and, ultimately, our lives.

Raised mostly by his mother after his parents’ divorce, he had a lot of unresolved anger toward his father. These feelings of hurt and rejection played a big role in his decision to ask for help for his mental health struggles in 2012.
During in-patient treatment, Phelps accepted that it is okay to not be okay. He learned that we all need some help and support sometimes, even the most decorated of Olympians. Once he reached out for help, started doing the hard work he needed to do and resolving outstanding issues with his father, he started to see the light.
Now a happily married father of three, Phelps has truly found himself. He has discovered his passion for destigmatizing mental health struggles, teaching others to embrace a healthy lifestyle and making swimming a more accessible sport.
Through his work with the Michael Phelps Foundation, he teaches water safety and the importance of healthy mental and physical living. He also advocates for improvements in the sport of US swimming for future athletes.
The world saw greatness in Michael Phelps as the unbeatable athlete. Now, Michael Phelps sees greatness in who he truly is.

Have you ever wanted to become more aware of your body? Do you long to have a more thorough spiritual connection with your physicality?
As the creator of the Mind-Body Connection, which brings together Eastern healing and thought practices and Western medicinal best practices, Dr. Deepak Chopra has long been an icon for those interested in spiritual health. His work spans across nations and decades, and he’s considered a leader in teaching the fundamentals of what reality is, and understanding what shapes our lives beyond our bodies.
In this podcast, Tony Robbins meets up with Deepak Chopra to discuss his background, work and the mind-body connection. Chopra says that he became interested in his field while teaching medicine at some of the top universities in the nation. Once he began seeing patients during his medical career, he felt that physical treatments were just a fraction of what made people feel well.
Aside from prescribing medicine to people, Chopra thought there was another way to help people feel better, both physically and mentally. People also have to want to change, and they need the resources available to them to do so. Originally from India, Chopra began practicing meditation during the 1980s. This practice has influenced his career and ultimately deepened his connection to the spirit, although he is not a believer in mysticism. Instead, his meditation practices tie in to the belief that the mind and body must be in tune to live a happy and healthy life.
By combining his classic medical training and taking into account spiritual forces that interested him, Deepak Chopra was able to see greater changes in his patients, noting a better overall shift in their physical and mental wellbeing. Chopra’s thinking shifted to believe that the human body has all the tools needed inside it to heal itself, without the aid of prescription medicine.
Deepak Chopra believes that social conditioning leads us to ignore the signs from our bodies that could help us to heal ourselves; instead, we’ve been conditioned to listen to those around us and look outside ourselves for help. The power of belief to change your biochemistry relies on the body affirming positive, healthy statements repeatedly. For instance, if you believe you are healthy, you are more likely to feel that way and feel positively about your body.
Deepak Chopra says that we create the body and mind through which we experience the world, meaning that we are all spiritual beings who are experiencing the world through the physical representation of our bodies. If you can accept this, you can begin to see things more closely to how they really are. There is no such thing as actual reality — there is only our perception of reality. So, if you can become more effective in interpreting your life’s experience, you’ll feel more empowered. This empowerment will not only free your mind, but make your body stronger as well. If you can accept that you are the maker of your own thoughts, and can share this benefit with your physical side, then you are on your way to establishing a sound mind-body connection.

Chick-fil-A Chairman Reveals the Secret Recipe for Success!
In this special 3-PART MASTERCLASS, we drop you inside a Tony Robbins Business Mastery seminar to learn HOW TO BUILD A BRAND, SHOWCASE YOUR X FACTOR, and BRING YOUR UNIQUE PRODUCT or SERVICE to a COMPETITIVE MARKET.
In PART THREE, you'll see Tony Robbins in a one-on-one interview with DAN CATHY, the dynamic Chairman of Chick-fil-A, Inc., the iconic family-owned fast food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches.
Under Dan’s leadership, Chick-fil-A has become the 3rd largest fast food chain in America, behind McDonald’s and Starbucks. Since 2013, the company has expanded to over 2,600 restaurants in 47 states and the District of Columbia, as well as new ventures into the Asian market.
However, it’s Dan's unwavering commitment to customer service that has been the real key element to the company's immense success. With an emphasis on family and community, and a tireless dedication to maintaining a positive workplace culture, Chick-fil-A is more than just a fast food dining experience – it’s a model for how businesses should inspire their employees and treat their customers.
*Fun fact: Chick-fil-A has been closed on Sundays since 1946. While it’s estimated the chain loses over $1 billion in potential yearly revenue, the family continues to honor this tradition – which encourages employees to rest, spend time with family and worship (if they choose).
