Garlic scapes are versatile in the kitchen and can be used in a variety of dishes. They can be chopped and used in salads, stir-fries, pesto, or as a garnish. Some people enjoy them grilled or sautéed as a side dish. Like garlic bulbs, scapes contain various nutrients, including vitamins C and B6, as well as minerals such as manganese and selenium. I've grown dozens of different varieties of vegetables. Dozens of tomatoes alone. In this video, I'll show you all of the different varieties of vegetables that are my favorites to grow. Sorry that I neglected to name the #2 tomato. It is Boronia. As I mention in the video, I try new things every year, so this list could change. Once I planted these potatoes, I didn't do anything to them except water. We still got a pretty good harvest from the Kennebec, and the other two types we grew.

Even though Adirondack Blue Potatoes have blue in their name. They are really purple. If you've ever grown Adirondack Blue Potatoes, let us know how they worked out for you.

I haven't counted the peppers on our Orange Ripple plant, but there are dozens of them.

We didn't get many tomatoes last year because of the heat, so I overcompensated this year by planting more of them. Things are growing so quickly this time of year that the garden changes quite a bit from week to week. We have tons of tomatoes that have set on already. Along with the tomatoes, we have lots of peppers on our plants too. The cucumbers and pole beans are climbing up their cages and trellises. Just about everything in the garden is doing well. This is just a quick update on the garden, and an announcement about my future videos.

This year has had it's challenges with the weather, but I think we have finally settled in and things are starting to grow well. In this video, I will show you around the garden. We have over a dozen tomatoes planted so far, and over 100 pepper plants. We also have lots of other vegetables growing too, such as cucumbers, beans, corn, sweet potatoes and corn. There are few things as sustainable as growing sweet potatoes. You can literally start with one sweet potato and then grow sweet potatoes for the rest of your life. If you do it right, you could even have enough to share with others. You can easily turn one sweet potato into hundreds if not thousands of pounds of sweet potatoes. All of these plants were planted in August of last year. They are still alive 6 months later in February.
