Railfanning at Fairfield Metro on the New Haven Line: Featuring Waterbury Diesel Train Deadheads

Recorded on 1/19/22. Over Winter Break me and my Dad took a big railfanning trip out in Connecticut. Our first station we came to is Fairfield Metro. We chose to come to this station after observing that a Deadhead from Waterbury goes by around 1:20PM on the SoNo virtual railfan camera. Since Fairfield Metro is not a common sight for Diesel trains, we decided to try to catch that diesel train at this station. Not only did we catch this BL20 deadhead, we caught another diesel train deadheading to the Waterbury Branch. This one was a P32 which is also not common to see on this part of the New Haven Line . And of course we caught a lot of good Metro North and Amtrak action here as well.

-Metro North to/from Grand Central Terminal, New Haven, Stamford and Waterbury
-Amtrak to/from Washington DC, Boston, Norfolk and St Albans
