Who is God? | Lie #1: God Punishes Us Series | Part 2

Who is God? That’s a question we must know the answer to if we say we believe in Him, and if we say Jesus is our Lord and Savior!

God gifted us the Bible as His Word – His Eternal and Inerrant Word so that we can answer the question, “Who is God?” But as we already know, there are many lies about God running rampant in the world because we have an evil enemy who is actively trying to keep us away from God and from discovering who He really is.

That’s why one of the most important “components” of keeping the lies about God alive is the enemy trying to keep us away from His Word, the Bible. Because if we find out who God is, and we keep His Commandments as a result of our love for Him and our being saved by Jesus, then the enemy has no power. And that’s the last thing he wants – to be powerless.

God reveals to us who He is in the Bible – everything we need to know about Him so that we can relate to Him accurately and so that we can do our part in our relationship with Him. That’s why it’s essential that we get to know God for who He really is, and not for whom the enemy is trying to make us think He is.
