Reading and studying the Bible is meant to be a big part of our lives, since God reveals to us all the things we must do to live a life pleasing to Him – a life where we put Him first. A successful life. An emotionally healthy life. But sometimes it can be difficult to understand the Bible – It’s an amazing book, with different authors, describing times and customs we sometimes don’t understand. The Fresh Start Bible from Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas contains helpful notes from godly pastors who have been studying and living the Word of God for decades. These have helped me gain a deeper understanding of what I’m reading about – things I would have otherwise missed.
