A fistfight at a Michigan high school graduation nearly escalated into a mass shooting, officials said. Two suspects, ages 19 and 20, both with weapons-related criminal histories, were taken into custody after a threat to “shoot up the crowd” was posted on Snapchat and quickly removed. Authorities recovered two fully loaded firearms with 80 rounds combined from the suspects’ packages stashed under cars at the event. The fight inside the venue was quickly controlled by staff, and no one was harmed, NBC News has reported. A 24-year-old University of Delaware graduate student was killed and several others injured after a man driving a stolen U-Haul truck fled police and crashed near campus. The driver, 22-year-old Gordon Turner, struck pedestrians and parked cars before being arrested. Shooting at Toronto afterhours club sends 3 men to hospital

Fairfax County Police continue to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on September 16 in the 11800 block of Sunrise Valley Drive in Reston. This tragic incident resulted in the death of 33-year-old Sydney Wilson and has sparked wider conversations on the intersection of mental health and law enforcement. Incident Overview At approximately 10:17 a.m. on September 16, officers responded to a welfare check requested by a mental health professional. They were called to check on Wilson, who had reportedly been in an agitated state. A crisis-intervention-trained (CIT) officer, Police Officer First Class (PFC) Peter Liu—a 14-year veteran—attempted to engage with Wilson at her residence. After the officer knocked for two minutes, Wilson opened the door holding a knife and attacked Liu. Despite attempting to de-escalate verbally, the officer discharged his firearm, striking Wilson three times. Liu sustained minor injuries and was treated at a hospital. If the passenger in the back of your cab screams ‘DRIVE’ while various sharp objects are being poked into the car, you would do well to start driving. It took our hero a few seconds to realize this, presumably because he wasn’t prepared for being surrounded by a machete-wielding gang in the middle of his shift. Dashcam footage from an incident in London on June 23 shows this exact scenario play out, as a terrified man desperately fights off people trying to stab him. The attackers had pulled up behind the cab in another vehicle, and one of them smashes the cab’s window as blades fly at the passenger from all sides. The cab eventually pulls away, making the slowest getaway known to man (thanks ULEZ). Thankfully, the passenger’s injuries were not life threatening, but he still decided to go to the hospital, and perhaps wisely, decided to make his way there himself.

A NYC police officer was run over by a protester and caught on video, and you didn't hear anything about it? How odd! A BLM activist involved in NYC pro-Palestine protests has been arrested for ramming a car into an NYPD officer on Jan. 17. Sahara Dula was arrested on suspicion of assault with serious physical injury, vehicular assault, reckless endangerment and more. Weird how his didnt make a lot of news. Considering pro-Palestinian protesters attempted to break through security barriers at the White House, throwing objects at police, a week ago and it barely received a peep, it's not surprising. I’m sure he won’t be let out without bail and have the charges dropped in a few weeks when nobody is looking. These people are anarchists. They are not for BLM, pro-Palestine etc. They simply embed themselves into every protest to make them as disruptive as possible.
