Our 1st Hometown 4th of July Celebration

We’ve lived here for 38 years. This the first time Jim and I have been able to attend the Murdock 4th of July celebration. First full day of celebrating the day with all of the kids in quite a few years.

Let me see if I can recall all the places we’ve been on this day in the past..
Norton, Kansas
Garden City, Kansas
Deerfield, Kansas
Lacrosse, Kansas
Timken, Kansas
Chase & Lyons, Kansas
Esbon, Kansas
Goodland, Kansas
Benkleman, Nebraska
Imperial, Nebraska
Chappell, Nebraska
Lodgepole, Nebraska
Kimball, Nebraska
Bushnell, Nebraska
Cheyenne Wells, Colorado
Hobbs, New Mexico

Crazy how the day never changes but the wheat always determined where we would celebrate. (I wonder which location I’ve forgotten.)

We had a wonderful day with all the kids and grandkids. Unfortunately, weather moved in right before the fireworks display would have happened. It was cancelled until the following Saturday night.

We sold several more pieces of our fleet. And delivered the MacDon grain head to its new owner.

And I got to watch swimming lessons for the first time. ❤️
