I am an Icon Trainer at Virgin Active UK with 10+ years experience and multiple certifications including L7 Performance Nutrition, L4 S&C, L4 Sports Massage + Arc Tools, 3 Certifications from the Gray Institute and the ALTIS speed training course. I have upcoming courses in Osteopathic Articulation, Spinal Manipulation, Neuroscience and Biochemistry.

My client Anthony is a Gym Manager who recently competed in his first amateur boxing match and is also a 2 stripe white belt in BJJ aiming for his blue belt. We picked up on a few key areas of dysfunction throughout the session, which we improved with relatively high levels of success, based on the fact it was all done in a single session.

A few areas I sought to improve on in the session are as follows:

- Left Shoulder Impingement (Reported to be AC Joint)
- Left Glute Medius (Limiting Left Frontal & Right Transverse Plan Hip Motion)
- Limited ‘Bounce’ Observed During Shadow Boxing (Heavy on Heels)
- Limited Anatomical Foot Arch (Plus Report of Fatigue in Same Area)
- Limited Desire to Throw Left Arm Observed (Boxing)
- Limited Desire to Extend Left Arm Observed Post Soft Tissue Release (Boxing)

The client has been and will be actively engaging in high impact martial arts training. He therefore needed release of the soft tissue that was creating dysfunction, followed by activation and stabilisation of the limbs. This sequence prepared him for his next training block after a short rest over Xmas.
