The Fear of Man and Authority

The fear of man is an unhealthy coping mechanisms where we submit to the other person, whoever they are, because we are afraid of them in some way: afraid they will punish us, withhold love from us, abandon us, humiliate us, reject us and so on.

And on the other side, it's so easy to get tired of pleasing others, seeing they don't care and fall into the other extreme of ‘’I don’t care what people think’’

Jesus is the One who teaches us what the healthy thing to do is. He says we need to submit ourselves to authority and He teaches us exactly how, too!
