Chinese leader Xi Jinping was just confirmed in office, securing a third term and eliminating political rivals. Now, the people are protesting against his regime.
Tens of thousands in China are demonstrating against the government’s strict zero-COVID policy in several cities. The lockdowns have been going on for weeks and are costing jobs and wealth.
Despite prevailing against his opponents in the Communist Party, some protestors are even calling for Xi’s resignation.
