2/25/2022 Enno Kite Foiling at Fleets Neck Beach
2/25/2022 While walking my dog Gunner at the Fleets Neck Beach today, I was able to get a video of Enno Kite Foiling. He said he wasn’t 100% satisfied with his performance, so I promised him, that if I seen him again, I will take a second video. Personally, I think he did a great job, as the wind was blowing steady 30 mph out of the south southwest.

12/3/2017 Shucking Peconic Bay Scallops
I received a call from a friend of mine, Brendan Fogerty, an FDNY Lieutenant covering in Engine Company 302/The Vipers Nest during the late afternoon of December 2nd to see if I could help him shuck some bay scallops. He was just finishing up a scallop trip off Robins Island in Peconic Bay with a friend of his, also from Engine Company 302, named Chris Raguso. I’ve shucked thousands of clams, but never a bay scallop. I knew if I agreed to help him, I was coming into some of the catch. After having agreed to help him, I immediately went to YouTube, to learn how to complete the task. Chris was killed in western Iraq shortly afterwards when his HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter crashed in Iraq. Chris perished that day with fellow firefighter Christopher T. Zanetis and several airman from his Air National Guard unit in Westhampton Beach New York. They were the best bay scallops I ever had. God Bless Chris, Christopher and the Airmen killed that day

5/20/2022 Nancy Ann IV Orient Point NY
Sailed aboard the Nancy Ann IV home-ported out of Orient Point NY today. Joey Lynch has been putting this trip together every year for at least the last twenty. I was able to jump in about eight to ten years ago. Running fishing trips can sometimes be a chore, but Joey, rolling with the punches never stumbles, and always does a great job. We couldn’t ask for a better Captain and Mate, than Captain Richard Jensen and his son Rick. We were underway at 6am and made our first stop west of Gardeners Island for some Jumbo Porgys. After limiting out on Porgies, we made our way to “The Gut” where we worked hard, but limited out on some beautiful Stripped Bass. Kenny Lynch was the pool winner, and was almost edged out by Chris with longer fish, but not a heavier one. I just can’t say enough about this boat, and it’s crew, they really are outstanding! Rick Jensen, the Mate, who is also a US Coast Guard Captain, like his dad took his time to coach all of us, so that we would improve our catch and have a great day. We were back to the dock by 3pm with a couple meals worth of fillets. There’s a reason, they are always booked. Thanks for viewing, hope you enjoyed the video.

August 2017 Yellowstone National Park Part 4
August 2017 Yellowstone National Park Part 4
Heading down off one of the ridges and following the trail switchback. Eventually we make it down to the stream in the distance and the sky opens up on us, with a heavy downpour. Ronnie Cline is ahead of me on Merl, the Appaloosa Mare.
City Slickers Dustup with the Ohio Crowd for Billy Cline’s aka “Billy Joe Jim Bob’s” 50th Birthday Celebration. After flying into Bozeman Montana, we made our way to Cooke City Montana and met up with Luke and Lucas of the Skyline Ranch. After a short overnight stay at the lodge upon arriving, the animals and gear were loaded up and brought to the trail head. Those who made the trip, included the celebrant Billy Cline, his father Ronnie, and his sons Brad, Daniel and Aaron. Also in attendance was Billy’s brother-in-law Fernando, his nephew Blake and myself. Close to thirty animals in all made the 3 day 2 night 30 mile trip threw Yellowstone National Park. Can’t say enough about the great job Luke, his son Lucas and the two other cowboys did! I’ve been to Yellowstone park three times in all. The first trip was in 1984 before the 1988 wildfires and again in 1993 with my wife Anne. This trip was different however, as it was completely on horseback, assisted by mules and donkeys. I always highly recommend this trip, and Skyline Ranch would always be my first choice. I can’t say enough about the amazing job they did, real life American Cowboys

7/27/2017 Leaving Gin Beach Montauk
7/27/2017 Leaving Gin Beach Montauk campsite after a beautiful week in Montauk. Caitlin was itching to leave, to get back to see her horse, so I leveraged that to have her drive our truck and fifth wheel camper from the campsite, through “The Cut” and on to the dump station. She didn’t do too bad, for a girl 16 years old with a learners permit. In the video, you cannot see the 26 foot camper being towed behind, but it is there! All tires on the truck and trailer aired down to 20 psi. Going through “The Cut” is the most precarious part of getting to the beach. If you ever get a chance to camp on the beach in Montauk, I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed!

Snook Fishing with Captain Larry Blieka
3/29/2022 I’ve been in Florida since just before Christmas and finally got to do some fishing. Teamed up with Captain Larry Blieka of “Dogfish Charters” and his neighbor Brian. Action packed day. First time Snook fishing where I was able to catch. Landed four short 18” to 21” and lost several others. Nice action on the Snappers also. Kept the five largest for dinner at the Lazy Flamingo Friday night. I knew I was going to have a good day when I got my receipt for my sandwich and coffee at Wawa’s this morning. Receipt #999. 3/29/2022 Captain Larry Blieka Castnet for Live Bait
3/29/2022 Captain Larry Blieka of Dogfish Charters made a quick stop at one of the local islands to set us up with some live bait. First cast yielded four dozen live bait fish. Larry made two more perfect cast, but yielded nothing. That was it, we packed the castnet away, and headed for a couple of the local docks to fish under. Action packed day, for at least 10 short Snook, 2 Jacks, and 25 Snappers, which we kept five of the biggest. We fished three people, Captain Larry Blieka, Brian of SW Pennsylvania and myself. Beautiful weather, great day, great company!

3/29/2022 Fishing off Sanibel Light House
3/29/2022 Brian from SW Pennsylvania, Captain Larry Blieka and myself anchored off Sanibel island to begin our fishing day. Weather was beautiful, clear blue sky‘s. My first time getting to see Sanibel Lighthouse from a boat. We finished herring baits. Sanibel Lighthouse was our second drop. Nothing happening, so we weighed anchor and headed inshore. Captain Larry through his cast net off one of the local islands and caught about 3 1/2 dozen baitfish on the first cast. That was enough to set us up for some locking load Snook and Snapper fishing. Oops, almost forgot the couple jacks we caught. Seem to Manatee swin by, along with a couple dolphin. Went home with five nice Snappers to be filleted for A night out at the Lazy Flamingo. Great day fishing, weather was beautiful, great company!!
