Clamming off the dock
I sold my clam boat to Brian who runs the marina in Cutchogue, who’s using it as a work boat. He was nice enough to allow me to clam off the dock this spring. The rake I used is a small regular wire 14 tooth suitcase rake that was given to me by my friend Paul.
Albie Lester
I met Albie Lester approximately 10 years ago while visiting BJ’s wholesale warehouse to do some shopping. Albie was there with his son Jon, who had just gotten back from Afghanistan while serving in the US Army. Albie was wearing faded pull over US Coast Guard Jacket, which bore the Coast Guard motto “Semper Paratus”, which translates to Always Ready. Playing dumb, I asked him what the Inscription meant, to which he replied “Oh, that’s the United States Coast Guard motto, it means always ready”. I replied back, “Semper Paratus Simply Forgot Us!” Albie knew at that point, that I had served in the United States Coast Guard also. For 10 years I had corresponded with Albie who lives in Springs, East Hampton, by telephone, text and email. Albie is retired from commercial fishing and clamming, some thing I have tried my hand at also. But Albie is the real McCoy This video was taking during my second in person meeting with Albie over 10 years later. Albie is a good man, And my life is richer for knowing him. I hope everybody enjoys the video. God Bless Albie Lester

Black Oak Tree Falling
April 1, 2020, Michael and his dad remove a Black Oak Tree in the corner of backyard by redirecting with block and tackle and 200 feet of double braid line set up. Tree is leaning in the opposite direction of which it fell. Michael is in front yard applying study tension while operating 2003 GMC 2500 HD pick up truck. We are communicating through the use of cellphones. I’d like to give a shout out, to the United States Coast Guard for training me in the use of lines, capstans and winches, while serving aboard the USCGC Clover WLB 292 and USCGC Woodrush WLB 407 out of Sitka Alaska

New Decoys from Island Fish Net
On September 26, 2019 I stopped down to Island Fish Net, located in Sayville New York, to drop off a couple Scallop Dredges that needed repair. While there I purchased two vintage decoys from Mrs. Elizabeth McDonald. She was kind enough to fill me showing them off. Thanks Elizabeth!
