Rumble Aboard the Mary Alice SW of Block Island
11/9/2022 heading in from our Blackfish/Seabass trip off Block Island. Another great day fishing aboard the Mary Alice, captained by retired FDNY Firefighter Pete Carey. Retired FDNY Captain Jimmy McCabe and retired FDNY Lieutenant Jimmy Zodowick had a difference of opinion on who was high hook when the rumble broke out. We had to break that fight up, couldn’t have anybody injured, too many fish to clean when we got back to the dock. Also in attendance today, retired FDNY Fireboat Pilot Kevin Duncan and retired FDNY firefighter Tommy May. All of us worked together at some point in the FDNY Marine Division. Thanks for viewing, hope you enjoy the video

Just before dawn, I got to witness a couple shooting stars. The 11 mile trip took us a little over an hour and 15 minutes. Couldn’t ask for a nice morning, absolutely beautiful

Illegitimate Elections Have Consequences
10/23/2022 I stopped by the Valero Station in Cutchogue today to fill up my truck. 17.6 gallons for $100. Those big trucks on the road that are delivering your every day products you purchase are paying these prices, and they have no choice but to pass them on to the consumers on the other end. Those trucks average between 5 and 5.8 miles to the gallon. While this illegitimate president depletes our strategic petroleum reserves in an apparent vote purchasing scheme, he leaves our country in a precarious situation should the need arise for these petroleum products. Was shutting the Keystone Pipeline down Intentionally done to create a shortage and inflation? Was the American Middle Class, and what’s left of it in America specifically targeted? I’m not sure, but it certainly looks that way to me

☘️Leaving Ireland and Returning Home to America☘️
Our incredible 10 day visit to Ireland came to an end today. The purpose of our trip was to attend our son Michael’s graduation from University College Cork with his LLB Diploma. Congratulations Michael, well done!! I’m sure you’ll make a great solicitor, or attorney as we call them in the states.

☘️Claddaghduff Cleggan Bay County Galway Ireland/Clifden Cycle Hub-Loop Two☘️
☘️ 10/18/2022 After a hearty breakfast we left Glenlo Abbey along the River Corrib located on the outskirts of Galway City and made our way out to the Claddaghduff coastline. The weather wasn’t looking great, but started to break by the time we reached Maam Cross on Route N59. There was an overlook which hosted beautiful views of Killary Bay Little. By the time we turned off N59 onto R379 known as Clifden Cycle Hub-Loop Two, the weather was picture perfect. This led us to some up close spectacular views of the Claddaghduff coastline. If you make it out this way be careful as lots of sheep cross the roadway. Hope you enjoyed the video.☘️

☘️ Long Island Fisherman Tommy May Gets Up Close & Personal with a Galway Hooker☘️
So we’re making our way back from the Connemara coastline and we stop in Spiddal to stretch our legs and get a bite to eat. We took the path alongside the library which led down to Galway Bay. Thats when I spotted her, a Galway Hooker. The ebb tide left her accessible, so I went down to have a closer look. She was beautiful, very well made. Maybe one day I’ll get to sail onboard one as nice as her. That would be cool. Hope you enjoyed the video.

☘️ Long Island Fisherman Meets Local Irish Fisherman in Spiddal, Galway ☘️
So we’re making our way back from the Connemara coastline and we stop in Spiddal to stretch our legs and get a bite to eat. We took the path alongside the library which led down to Galway Bay. There I spotted one of the local fishermen gathering periwinkles along the rocky shoreline. I made my way down the rocks to have a chat with him. He spoke Irish, and I spoke English. Although it was difficult for us to converse, we shared the common bond of fishermen. If you’re in Spiddal be sure to stop at the An Cruiscin Lan; their seafood chowder was off the chart good! Hope you enjoyed the video.

☘️Burren National Park Corrofin County Clare Ireland☘️
☘️ ☘️ Rather than take the main highway M18, we chose to take the more scenic route R460 from Bunratty Castle to Kinvarra Village and onward to Galway. I believe we were in Corrofin, but we may as well have been somewhere on the moon. It reminded me of the Badlands in South Dakota, the same but different. If I ever make it back here, I’d like to spend a week hiking inside the park. A giant rainbow stretched across the panoramic view. The
video does it no justice. The wind was steady out of the west at 40 mph. I was trying to describe just how beautiful area was, but the wind deadened the sound of my words. Just as well, as there were no appropriate words I knew to describe it. We would have missed it had we taken the road most traveled. I’m not sure how this trip can get any better, but I’m continually surprised. Let’s see what tomorrow brings! ☘️ ☘️
