Live Oak Tree Removal Cape Coral Florida
12/31/2022 Live Oak Tree Removal at our home in Cape Coral Florida. Started around 10am and took it slow and paced ourselves. Broke for lunch around 12:30pm and was back at it. Finished up around 4:30pm. Medium size tree, but boy was it heavy. Figuring it must be in the white oak family. FEMA is coming this week, so it had to be done. Hope you enjoyed the video

Irish Famine Ship Jeanie Johnston Tour Part II
October 11, 2022 we did our second tour of the Jeanie Johnston while in Dublin Ireland. Our first tour of the ship was in Port Jefferson NY in July 2003 when the replica retraced her original trip. Garouge does a wonderful job as the Jeanie Johnson tour guide. Amazing ship, amazing crew and amazing spirit of the Irish people. Hopefully if you make your way to Ireland you get to pay her a visit. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to have Garouge as your tour guide

Intellectual Theft Aboard The Montauk Fishing Boat Mary Alice
11/29/2022 I got a late call from Pete saying his fishing trip with FDNY Engine 257 and Ladder 170 out of Rhode Island was canceled; this freed us up to fish his boat, the Mary Alice. Isn’t it always the way that the last-minute trips turn out to be the best! What a great day we had. We limited out on Blackfish and Seabass. I was dialed in today and pushed ahead of our best angler, retired FDNY Lieutenant Jimmy Zodowick. Jim was trying out a new blackfish jig, and it wasn’t going well. That blackfish rig got into Jim’s head, and he was dead in the water. Midday I went in the cabin to take a short nap, and when I returned it was brought to my attention that Jim had just landed a large quality blackfish. Before I was able to get situated to start fishing again Jim had landed two more large fish. He didn’t have me on a fish count, but he was closing in on weight. That’s when I landed a large blackfish that I thought to be at least 10 pounds. I made sure I marked this fish by cutting one of the bottom fins. Just before we wrapped up for the day I found out that while I was napping in the cabin Jim had the measuring tape out, along with a sketching pad writing down the specs on my stand-off blackfishing rig which he essentially copied. An obvious case of intellectual property theft. For what ever reason Captain Pete Carey turned a blind eye to this unethical behavior and allowed the crime to unfold. Trying to make sense of it all, I just figured fishing is fishing, and some guys will do anything to get ahead. At the end of the day, we brought both our large fish to the scale at Montauk Marine Basin for a final weigh-in which would determine who was the best fisherman for the trip. Would you believe that each of our large Blackish weighed in at 8.46lbs? What were the chances? Jim could’ve clinched the “High Hook” award had he not made the rookie mistake of grabbing the leader rather than swinging the keeper codfish he had at the surface over the gunnel, thereby losing our almost only Cod. Great Day, Great Crew. Hope you enjoyed the video!

Welcome Aboard the Hampton Lady
11/23/2022 Welcome aboard the Hampton Lady. My first time fishing this boat out of Hampton Bays. Can’t say enough about the great job Captain James Foley, mates Derek, Billy and Jashu did. We were underway at 4:30am and sailed for a little over 2 hours to reach our destination. Fished in about 160 feet of water. A little snotty heading out, northwest winds between 20 and 25 knots. Just an all-around beautiful day. Non-stop Jumbo Seabass and Porgies action. Some were lucky enough to catch a couple Codfish. Great job guys! I’ll be back

A Large Pony Named Duke
1/16/2017 When you’ve spent as much time at different barns as I have, you have to think outside the box. There’s only so many fishing rigs you can tie while waiting for your daughter to complete all the tasks that go along with horseback riding. Why not put that iPhone to good use and create a couple spoof videos.

Vivaldi The Kissing Horse
5/6/2016 Anybody who has a daughter who rides, knows that they spend a lot of time at the barn. There’s a lot of prep work before you get to ride, and just as much work to do after you’re finished. Horses require a lot of care and attention. Caitlin could spend as much as three hours with each horse she rode. While my daughter Caitlin was getting Duke ready to ride at the Parkview Stable in Central Islip , I got to spend some time with Vivaldi “The Kissing Horse” and do this spoof video.

Rumble Aboard the Mary Alice SW of Block Island
11/9/2022 heading in from our Blackfish/Seabass trip off Block Island. Another great day fishing aboard the Mary Alice, captained by retired FDNY Firefighter Pete Carey. Retired FDNY Captain Jimmy McCabe and retired FDNY Lieutenant Jimmy Zodowick had a difference of opinion on who was high hook when the rumble broke out. We had to break that fight up, couldn’t have anybody injured, too many fish to clean when we got back to the dock. Also in attendance today, retired FDNY Fireboat Pilot Kevin Duncan and retired FDNY firefighter Tommy May. All of us worked together at some point in the FDNY Marine Division. Thanks for viewing, hope you enjoy the video
