6/25/2024 Well, Dave did it again, picked out a beautiful day for a group friends to fish the Northfork. We were underway at 6am, and made our way to “The Race” for some non-stop Stripped Bass fishing. Captain Richie Jensen, did not disappoint. We were into fish on our first drift. Mates Rick and Christina were phenomenal! Between keeping us up and running, the boat cleaned, and fish filleted, they were nonstop. Thank you again for putting the trip together Dave. Captain Richie, Mates Christina and Rick, you rock.!!

6/25/2024 As we made our way out to the Race aboard the Nancy Ann, Rick Jensen gave some of our angles, a first time lesson, and others a tuneup which helped us secure our limit. Thanks, Rick and Christina, we couldn’t have done it without you!! Great Boat, Great Captain & Crew

🇺🇸 6/17/2024 Griswold-Terry-Glover American Legion Post 803 hosted their 31st annual scholarship and post fundraiser at Island’s End Golf & Country Club located in Southold, New York. The sold out golf outing enjoyed beautiful weather. A huge thank you to all our golfers who participated along with all of American Legion Post 803’s volunteers who kept things moving along and operating smoothly. Commander of the Son’s of the American Legion Post 803 Gary Iorio opened the event with some well placed words and a patriotic song. God Bless America 🇺🇸

6/9/2024 The weather broke today and the wind lied down. Our original plan was to Fluke fish the outgoing tide off the Oyster Building east to Bug Lighthouse, but the drift was nonexistent, so we continued east to Plum Gut to catch the last couple hours of the outgoing. We fished a 1.25 oz bucktail to a three way swivel and a drop down sinker. A couple drifts and no hits, so we decided to investigate birds working close to shore, just north of Plum Island Lighthouse. Plenty of bass, but non we’re interested in what we had to offer. We followed the birds to the northside of the island where Jerry caught a Cocktail Bluefish. We wrapped it up and enjoyed a nice ride home. What a difference from how the day started out

6/7/2024 Fished the early-morning incoming tide at the Gut. Underway 0700 from Goldsmiths Marina Southold. Beautiful ride heading out We made approximately five drifts and landed two fish. One was approximately 29 inches, and the second probably close to 32 inches. Both were released. We headed back With the hopes of catching a couple keeper Fluke, but that was not the be. A couple short fluke, a keeper Weakfish, all released. Arrived back at the dock at approximately 1 PM Great day on the water!

5/26/2024 Finishing up the final touches of the 22.8 General Marine center consul fishing boat Margaret O’Leary. She’s named after my mother who immigrated to America at the age of 15 from Tralee Ireland, County Kerry. Before launching, I’m going to ask my local parish priest to bless her. A special thank you to Master Sergeant Jeremy Brown, one of the J6 political prisoners who recommended Rapper Tom MacDonald. Tom‘s music gave me the push I needed to finish. I never thought at 64 years of age, that I’d be listening to rap music, but must say that Tom‘s music gave me the push I needed to finish the job. It’s no wonder, Jeremy Brown and his men listened to him before starting out on missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Thanks for viewing, and I hope you enjoyed the video. Love you Mom

5/17/2024 we were underway promptly at 6am for Joey Lynch’s annual fishing extravaganza aboard the Nancy Ann. As usual, Joey picked a great day and everybody went home with fish. It started off a little slow fishing for porgies east of gardeners Island, but that changed when we caught the outgoing tide, east of Oregon Point Lighthouse where we limited out on strip bass between 28 inches and 31 inches. We finished up the day with jumbo porgys in Southold Bay

5/14/2024 I’ve been meaning for sometime to put these decals on my boat, just got around to it today. Joining the United States Coast Guard was the best thing I ever did. It set me up for everything else I accomplished in my life. Not only did I get to see some interesting places, but I had the pleasure of working with some of the greatest men. I served aboard two ocean going bouy tenders out of Sitka Alaska, attended Boatswains Mate Class A School in Yorktown Virginia and finished up running boats out of Ft Totten in Queens New York. Although it felt like I was doing prison time, at times, it was an incredible journey. Hope you enjoyed the video

5/2/2024 Well it’s been a long slug, trying to get my garage completed and coming to the end. Also a shout out to the United States Coast Guard/Semper Paratus. When not serving Aids to Navigation aboard the 180’ Ocean Going Bouy Tender USCGC Clover WLB-292 ☘️aka “The Can Do Canoe” homeported in Sitka Alaska, we might be found with a paint brush in our hand. There was a saying in the Coast Guard, “If it doesn’t move paint it; if it does move paint it anyway!” Hope you enjoyed the video

Sunday April 7, 2024 the Suffolk County AOH and LAOH Commemorated the Dedication of the Thomas Clarke and Kathleen Daly Clarke Memorial at the monument on County Road 111 in Manorville, NY. Father Henry Reid officiated the Catholic Mass shortly afterwards at the Suffolk County Mass rock. Attendees gathered at Buckley‘s located in Center Moriches afterwards for a delicious traditional Irish breakfast.
