10mm Magnum (10mm Mag) and the Dirty Hamper Holster for CCW
Mod'd my S&W 610 to take 40S&W, 10mm Auto, and now 10mm Magnum, a bit of a wildcat round that is comparable to the Remington 41 Magnum. I was hesitant to carry this large N-frame Smith like I do my Glock 29. But after I tried it, I couldn't believe how comfortable it was. I don't wear belts, so I found this way of carrying was a win. Now that I have a new favorite caliber, I thought there'd be too much gun for Mexican carry, or this. But after giving it whirl, I have no complaints. I usually don't wear just a t-shirt (as shown + coat), but I wanted to show the worse-case that prints pretty bad. A hoody is usually what I would wear.

10mm Magnum (10mm Mag) from Starline 6.8 Basic Rifle Brass
Mod'd my S&W 610 to take 40S&W, 10mm Auto, and now 10mm Magnum, a bit of a wildcat round that is comparable to the Remington 41 Magnum. Although I found some range ammo, I was curious what parent round I could use to make 10mm Mag. The 6.8 SPC is a good candidate, as its parent case, the .30 Remington, is the parent case to a bunch of things. But, the 6.8 is a tapered cartridge, and fireforming would be the go-to solution to expanding that case. Thankfully, Starline Brass sells a basic case that isn't formed, so it's apretty good fit for making 10mm Mag brass. The best thing to do, is buy the brass for what you want. But this pistol/revolver brass is not available anywhere right now. Ergo, why I am playing with this solution.

10mm Magnum (10mm Mag) and the Smith & Wesson 610
Mod'd my S&W 610 to take 40S&W, 10mm Auto, and now 10mm Magnum, a bit of a wildcat round that is comparable to the Remington 41 Magnum. I had the cylinder reamed out to accept the 10mm magnum cartridge, and now the smaller rounds can be used with moon clips -- same with the Magnum -- or the 10mm Magnum can be used without the moon clips. This platform feels like it's meant to shoot something this stout... it just feels right. Will be sharing homebrew ammo as I get around to making it. In the meantime, I'm using some very fine rounds from a bygone company called Maine Cartridge Company Inc. They did a pretty nice job with these, although they are FMJ so really only meant for plinking. The good part about it, is the brass is very good 10mm Magnum Starline, which is heavy duty and will serve me well with reloads. Sadly, new brass is not a priority for Starline right now; a backordered product that could remain so for a long time.
