Hey Stefan I just finished watching the research module videos. Amazing how quickly those questions got answered in under 2 hours in different niches. I'm really excited about applying. I do have a question...You never mentioned anything about creating an Avatar is something that's not as important as it's made out be? You know writing to and knowing "that one person". What's his name? How old is he(not a range :) )? What are his goals? Etc. I supposed everyone has their methods. But When you're researching and you discover your market has different kinds of people with the same problem yet different painpoints, do you write to all of them in one sales letter?
Let me give you an example...I'm doing research on the plantar fasciitis niche. I found runners (Triathletes to be even more narrow), people whose work has them standing A LOT (i.e Nurses) and Over weight people. The Runner is upset about the problem because it's preventing him from running/preparing for a 10k. The Nurse is worried about not being able to do her job properly because of the almost unbearable pain. You get the point. Their Victories and Failures for example are completely different even though it's the same problem. What do you do in this case? Hope my question is clear...

Question:
I interact closely with my clients a lot whether by phone, conference call, or over messages. I also used to do phone sales enrolling the clients I now work with and I have a Facebook group of about 6k members (clients and prospects) that I engage with daily.
Hell, I even used to be a hopeless, clueless single guy myself. (I help single guys build social confidence and land a high-quality girlfriend)
I'd say I understand my market a fair deal.
So I'm wondering when it comes to me doing the research part, would it be beneficial to look at forums and Amazon as well as interview my clients one one one?
I'm guessing yes and I've interviewed many of my clients before, I'm just wondering how I should go about filling out my research page given the resources I have available.
Like how should I go about interviewing my clients to get the right content I'm looking for?

This is how I remind myself what that section of copy needs to accomplish.
You’ll notice that the left hand column contains all the different parts of the ‘Copy’ part of RMBC.
Plus, how I adapted certain parts to adjust it for this specific promo and offer.
2. How I annotate every single line in the sales letter.
This is my secret for keeping all my copy short, punchy, and impactful.
3. The prolific use of proof in pretty much every single section of the sales letter.
Hint: It’s a direct side effect of laying out the copy in blocks because I know each section needs to be supported.
This also makes it WAY easier to “self-edit” my copy.
In fact, I make all my juniors do this process before submitting copy to me for feedback.
Because usually, the biggest problem is the "critical thinking" portion of the writing process.
4. The advantages and limitations of the RMBC method in terms of the financial niche.
The Limitations
The RMBC method does not work so great for any sort of “single stock story” promotion.
This is when you are selling a specific investment opportunity (think penny stocks, 5g, crypto, pot stocks)...
Plus, it also doesn’t work well with big "Macro Prediction" style promotions…
This is when you're selling someone on a prediction of what is going to happen to the markets in the future (i.e. "End of America" style doom and gloom promos).
Here’s why.
When you're selling someone on an investment opportunity, you have to not only tell a compelling story about the money-making potential…
You also need to do a lot more research to establish a clear investment thesis (which can take a lot of time to build the case for a certain stock or a prediction package).
The Good
RMBC by itself works really well for what are known as “systems” promo.
Which refers to a scenario where the guru has created some sort of system for consistently pulling profits out of the stock market (which in a lot of ways is biz/opp ish in nature).
For most Agora-style pubs, the product being sold is some sort of "alerts" service where they get stock or options trades emails/texted to them…
However, in the example I provided, the client had a great software platform that - in my opinion - was way easier to sell than any typical Agora style backend I've written.
In conclusion, there is a LOT of stuff I've adapted from the RMBC process to help me crank out single stock stories...
Mostly by doing a better job of organizing my research on the front end and assembling it in a more orderly fashion during the creation process.

The maintenance of these NSCs is important in memory and is affected by environmental factors such as diet and exercise, potentially explaining some of the variations in how aging affects different people.

Memory performance and other cognitive abilities benefit from a good blood supply to the brain. This applies in particular to people affected by a condition known as 'sporadic cerebral small vessel disease'. Researchers suggest that blood perfusion of the so-called hippocampus could play a key role in age- and disease-related memory problems.
Inside the human brain, there is a small structure, just a few cubic centimeters in size, which is called the "hippocampus" because its shape resembles a seahorse. Strictly speaking, the hippocampus exists twice: once in each brain hemisphere. It is considered the control center of memory.
A team of scientists headed by Prof. Stefanie Schreiber and Prof. Emrah Duezel, both affiliated to the DZNE and the University Medicine Magdeburg, investigated this question. The researchers used high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to examine the blood supply to the hippocampus of 47 women and men aged 45 to 89 years. The study participants also underwent a neuropsychological test battery, which assessed, in particular, memory performance, speech comprehension, and the ability to concentrate.
"Our study shows a clear link between blood supply to the hippocampus and cognitive performance," Schreiber summarised the results. "This suggests that brain blood flow might play a key role in the declining of memory performance, whether caused by age or disease."

Star-shaped cells called astrocytes help the brain establish long-lasting memories, Salk researchers have discovered. The new work adds to a growing body of evidence that astrocytes, long considered to be merely supportive cells in the brain, may have more of a leading role. The study, published in the journal GLIA on July 26, 2019, could inform therapies for disorders in which long-term memory is impaired, such as traumatic brain injury or dementia.
"This is an indication that these cells are doing a lot more than just helping neurons maintain their activity," says Professor Terrence Sejnowski, head of Salk's Computational Neurobiology Laboratory and senior author of the new work. "It suggests that they're actually playing an important role in how information is transmitted and stored in the brain."
The brain's neurons rely on speedy electrical signals to communicate throughout the brain and release neurotransmitters, but astrocytes instead generate signals of calcium and release substances known as gliotransmitters, some of them chemically similar to neurotransmitters. The classical view was that astrocytes' function was mostly to provide support to the more active neurons, helping transport nutrients, clean up molecular debris, and hold neurons in place. Only more recently, researchers have found that they might play other, more active, roles in the brain through the release of gliotransmitters but these remain largely mysterious.
In 2014, Sejnowski, Salk postdoctoral researcher António Pinto-Duarte and their colleagues showed that disabling the release of gliotransmitters in astrocytes turned down a type of electrical rhythm known as a gamma oscillation, important for cognitive skills. In that study, when the researchers tested the learning and memory skills of mice with disabled astrocytes, they found deficits that were restricted to their capacity to discriminate novelty.

Inflammation can send the brain's immune cells into damaging hyperdrive, an effect that has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases that affect memory, like dementia. A new study finds these same immune cells can also be activated to have the reverse effect, powering memory, and learning.
When it comes to memory, immune cells are known as the "bad cops" of the brain. But new research shows they could also be turned into "good cops" to power memory and learning.
In the new study, researchers at RMIT University found that these same immune cells -- known as microglia -- can also be activated to have the reverse effect.
When the microglia were altered in rats, their performance in simple memory tasks improved by up to 50%, rather than deteriorating.
While the effect was temporary, the discovery suggests these cells could be targeted in the development of new therapies designed to enhance memory formation, with the hope of preventing cognitive decline as people grow older.
Chief Investigator and senior author, Associate Professor Sarah Spencer, said the unexpected results of the study expanded our understanding of memory formation and the role of neuroinflammation in memory loss.
"Even in healthy adults, optimizing how well we learn and remember can give us a substantial performance edge at work and socially.
"Our study has for the first time shown a link between changes in the immune cells of healthy brains and improved cognitive function.
The study looked how the rats performed memory tasks when the immune cells were present and compared this with their performance when almost all the microglia were knocked out.
They found that removing almost all the microglia made no difference in memory tasks.
But when the microglia regenerated, this led to astounding results: researchers ran the same memory tests on the rats and they performed 25-50% better than normal rats.
Importantly, the regenerated microglia were a different shape -- similar to the "activated" shape that these cells have when dealing with inflammation.
"We are still exploring what makes these cells different when they repopulate the brain, but their shape tells us they may be more active than usual, potentially making the neurons more effective to encourage better memory," Spencer, an NHMRC Career Development Fellow at RMIT, said.
"The effect doesn't last. As the microglia go back to their usual shape, memory performance also goes back to normal.

How much vitamin D can boost memory, learning, and decision-making in older adults, and how much is too much? A unique study found that overweight and obese older women who took more than three times the recommended daily dose of vitamin D showed improvements in memory and learning -- but also had slower reaction times. The researchers hypothesize that slower reaction times may increase the risk of falling among older people.

The researchers, whose work is in the Journals of Gerontology: Series A, used computers to assess the impact of vitamin D on cognitive function. The researchers evaluated three groups of women between 50 and 70 years old in a randomized controlled trial.
One group took the recommended daily dose of 600 international units (IU), equivalent to 15 micrograms, of vitamin D each day for a year. Another group took 2,000 IU per day and the third took 4,000. All women participated in lifestyle counseling and were encouraged to lose a modest amount of weight.
The researchers found that memory and learning improved in the group that took 2,000 IU per day, but not in the group that took the higher dosage. Meanwhile, the women's reaction time showed a trend to be slower at 2,000 IU daily and was significantly slower at the higher dosage.

Lots of people now know about telomeres. And they’ve heard that shrinking telomeres are a hallmark of aging, disease, and death. But what you probably haven’t heard is that it’s not the length of your telomeres that’s most important, it’s the rate at which they shrink. The fact is, mice often have longer telomeres than humans. Yet they only live 2 years. Humans live 78 years. Why? Because the telomeres in mice are programmed to shrink at a much quicker rate than humans do, and they die much faster as a result.
Spanish Researchers looked at 9 different animals (including humans) and proved this. So if you want to live longer, stay younger, and protect yourself from disease – you need to stop or slow the rate at which your telomeres shrink.
To put it even more simply, the big idea here is:
It’s not the length of your telomeres that matters, it’s how fast they shrink. The faster they shrink, the faster you age and get sick.

Often the headline will promote the big idea, but it’s not the big idea.
Is the mechanism the big idea?
It’s close. But the mechanism is lengthier. The Big Idea is ultimately the single idea behind your argument/promise that someone can quickly understand and easily share with others.
What’s the difference between the Big Idea and the USP (Unique Selling Proposition)?
The USP relates specifically to the product being sold. It’s the pitch that differentiates the product and makes you want to buy it.
The Big Idea relates specifically to the promise of the sales copy. It’s what captures your attention and makes you want to engage with the copy.

Others may just be semi-retired, or retired, and looking for something productive to do with their time.
Pain Point:
Struggling to pay the bills. Worried about retirement. Hate their job. Worried about being broke, or struggling for the rest of their lives.

So like I said, my name is Jennifer Goodwin.
I’m 53 years old and live in South Texas…
And when it comes to my weight – my story is pretty similar to a lot of other women I know.
I was a little chubby in middle school and high school…
In my early 20s I didn’t eat a whole lot and was at my skinniest…
After my oldest was born, I got heavier but was able to shake most of the pregnancy weight…
With each child that followed though (I have four wonderful children total), it became harder to lose all of the weight…
By my early 30s I had noticeable baggage around stomach, my butt, my hips, and all those places where fat loves to gather…
And by my late 30s and early 40s, that fat was starting to really pile up…and even making its way to weird places like the middle of my back, my feet, and my hands…
Which is when I started to be depressed about my body…
And it was around this time that I found out I was prediabetic with high blood pressure, poor sleep, and even hormonal problems.
Now like pretty much any woman (and a lot of men too)…
Over the course of my life I’ve tried a TON of diets…
From low fat in the 80s…
To the Atkins diet in the 90s…
Plus different programs like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers – all those usual suspects.
And what I found (and I’m sure you can relate to this next part)…
Is that all those different diets all played out exactly the same way:
I’d start off really motivated, I’d lose some weight, I’d be feeling good about myself, I’d start dreaming about a life where I was happy and healthy…
But then at some point – whether it was a few weeks or a few months into whatever diet I was following…
It would all come crashing down.
I’d end up going on vacation and cheating on my diet – at the buffet on a Cruise, or at a pie shop in Key West…
…or I’d find that the diet was making me so hungry and irritable that I became a horrible YOU-KNOW-WHAT…
And before I knew it…
The diet was over and the weight was pouring back on.
So this was the story of my life for decades and decades…
And by the time I hit 50 I’d more or less grown to accept that I wasn’t going to ever be skinny again.
Sure I’d still “try” diets out…
But in my heart I didn’t really believe I’d be able to lose much weight, or keep it off.
After the sudden death of my mother however, all of that changed.
She died of a heart attack, which the coroners said was at least partially caused by her weight…
And the shock and grief of losing my mom…
It triggered something in me…
Something self-destructive and awful…
That nearly led me to follow my mom into the grave.
It’s a little hard to talk about this next part, but I’m going to try…
Because even though what I’m about to share with you is pretty ugly…
It’s also what ultimately led to the Keto Discovery I mentioned at the beginning of this video…
A discovery that made the Keto Diet so easy that I was able to lose 17lbs in a month, and 64 lbs in less than 6 months…

So what happened?
Well it was day of my mom’s funeral…
And I was having a hard time and feeling very emotional.
Of course I knew that would be the case…
But what I hadn’t anticipated…
Was seeing all of these people from the distant past…

At first I was glad to see them.
But as the day continued on…
I couldn’t help but notice how often all of these folks were making comments about my weight!
It was so unexpected…I don’t know if they were nervous and trying to lighten the mood or what…
But time and time again I heard things like: “well you’re certainly eating well, aren’t you?”
Or “the last time I saw you, you were skinny as a twig, but look at you now!”…
And what was even worse was when my Aunt Carol decided it was okay to use my mom’s death as a warning to me.
She pulled me aside at the funeral and she told me:
“Jen, don’t take this the wrong way, but your mom was a big woman who struggled with her weight. You’re getting awfully big too and that scares me because I love you. I hope you’ll consider trying a diet sweetheart.”
It was so inappropriate, I was there to mourn my mother…
And while I smiled and nodded and pretended I was listening…
Inside I was dying…
I wanted to shut down entirely…or scream at everyone…or run away…
I had been trying diets all of my life…
Did they not think I KNEW that I was overweight…
That I wasn’t already unhappy with how my reflection looked in the mirror?
It should have been a day to celebrate my mother’s life…
But for me, it ended up being a day where I couldn’t get out of my own head…
And when we gathered at my house after the funeral for refreshments…
I was hardly talking.
And then there was the chocolate cake…
My cousin Derek had brought it from my mom’s favorite bakery…
And it was this huge, beautiful creation covered with fudge swirls and chocolate dipped strawberries.
It looked so good, but of course I knew I couldn’t let my family see me eating it…not after what they’d said…
So I just pretended I wasn’t hungry…
And did my best to keep busy and not think too much about it.
That night though, after everyone had left my home and I was alone…
I was lying in bed, the tears streaming down both my cheeks…
And all I could think about was how good that cake had looked.
Nearly half of it was still downstairs in the refrigerator…
And even though I told myself I should just go to sleep…
That I didn’t need it, that I’d be fine without it…
My stomach starting gnawing…my mouth started salivating…I just HAD to have a piece of it.
And so I crept back downstairs like a guilty thief in the night…
I opened the fridge…
And I told myself I’d just have the tiniest slice.
But the moment that chocolatey goodness hit my mouth, it was like my brain fired to life…
I got this rush of pleasure that’s almost impossible to describe…
It was soooo good and it was exactly what I needed to feel better.
Over the course of the next hour, I ate every single piece of that cake…
I even got some Breyers Vanilla Ice Cream out of the fridge and started eating a scoop with every slice…
I just couldn’t help myself.
By the time I was finished, I felt disgusting, like I was going to throw up…
Yet in this sick way, I also felt happier too…
Or at least, I wasn’t thinking about my mom’s death or my relatives’ mean comments anymore.
When I woke up the next morning though…
I had a terrible headache and my stomach was in knots…
I felt so guilty…
But even though I knew what I was doing was self-destructive…
I also felt so sad, so emotional…
That all I wanted to do was start eating more sweets, more junk food, more of the stuff I knew I shouldn’t…
Until I could once again feel NUMB to the pain that was inside of me.
So that’s exactly what I did…
And over the next month, the only way I can describe my behavior…
Is that I went on a bender.
I stayed at home, with the blinds shut, not answering calls or texts…
And I ate, ate, and then ate some more.
Cakes, cookies, pies, gummy bears, ice cream, chips, pizza, Coca Cola…
It’s like I was trying to eat myself into oblivion…I just couldn’t stop.
Now things could have kept going on this way…
If it wasn’t for the fact that about a month after my mom’s funeral…
I got a horrible UTI.
I won’t go into details because I don’t want to be gross…
But let’s just say, it required a trip to the doctor’s office to get checked and for medication.
Now my OBGYN couldn’t see me so I went to my general practitioner…
And at first, when he said he wanted to draw my blood and run some other tests on me…
I just figured it was related to the urinary tract infection I had.
After about an hour of waiting though…I started wondering what the heck was going on…
And when I asked the doctor, his response took me completely off guard…
“Jen, I’m worried about your health,” he said.
“I’ve known you for what, 30+ years now?
I’ve never seen you looking less healthy…
And it’s important we run some blood tests so we can figure out exactly where we’re at with things.”
Well if I’m being honest, when he said all of this I got really mad…
‘I came in here for a UTI, so why was he trying to turn this into something bigger than that,’ I thought.
But while I felt steaming mad…I also knew that he was probably right…
And so three days later, even though I really didn’t want to…
I drove back to the doctor’s office to discuss the results.
Now as you’re probably suspecting, the news was not good…
In fact, it was dire.
My bloodwork showed that I had very high blood sugar and qualified as a Type 2 Diabetic…
My bad cholesterol was nearly 80 points too high…
My blood pressure was so high I had Stage 2 Hypertension…
And the blood tests showed that my thyroid was completely dysfunctional, meaning I’d need to get on some kind of medication for that as well.
As my doctor read through everything with me, he kept a pretty even face…
But once he’d finished, he turned and looked me dead in the eyes…
And I’ll never forget what he said:
“Jen, when I read this chart, I see a woman who has less than 10 years to live. I’m not trying to scare you. I’m just being straight with you. Your health is going downhill fast, and if you don’t do something drastic, it’s going to be bad. Trips to the hospital, tons of medications, a lot of money spent on health insurance and prescriptions.
Now I can give you the normal talk about diet and exercise Jen, if that’s what you want. But if I’m being brutally honest…I think it goes beyond that. Based on what you’ve told me – you’re describing the behavior of an addict. And I’m not saying that as a joke – I mean I think you’re really addicted to sugar and junk food. So if I were you, I’d start there. I’d look into sugar addiction more, and see if you can’t find some strategies that will help you break free.”
Well I didn’t really know how to respond to my doctor, so I just told him that I’d do some research and left his office.
It was a weird conversation because I did NOT think of myself as an addict…
People are addicted to drugs sure…maybe some morbidly obese people are addicted to food…
But not me – I’d had a bad month after my mom died, but that wasn’t an addiction was it?
Still, I couldn’t get what my doctor had said out of my mind…
So I started doing some research on sugar addiction on the Internet…
And I was blown away by what I found
The first thing I saw was a 5 Question Test developed by Kelly Brownell of Yale…
And that can help you determine if you’re a food addict.
I’ll share the questions with you right now…
And please answer them honestly…because this is important:
1. Do you consume certain foods even if you are not hungry because of cravings?
2. Do you worry about cutting down on certain foods?
3. Do you feel sluggish or fatigued after overeating?
4. Do you have health or social problems (affecting school, work, and relationships) because of food issues, yet you keep eating the way you do despite negative consequences?
5. Do you need more and more of the foods you crave to experience any pleasure or reduce negative emotions?
So how’d you do?
For me personally, I was astonished to find that I answered yes to every single one of the questions…
But according to Kelly Brownell, even if you just answer one or two correctly, it can mean your addicted to sugar and other junk food.
So this was a real eye-opener for me…
And the more I researched…

What really drove home the reality of sugar addiction for me though…
Was a study I saw done by David Ludwig and his colleagues at Harvard University.
In this study, the Harvard Researchers took 12 overweight people and gave them a low sugar milkshake…
Then a high sugar milkshake four days later.
After each milkshake the Harvard Scientists did a brain scan…
And they found that while the low-sugar milkshake didn’t show anything unusual…
When the study participants drank the high-sugar milkshake…
The part of the brain responsible for addiction (called the nucleus accumbens)…
Lit up like a Christmas tree.

While the one on the right shows what their brains looked like when they had the low-sugar milkshake.
Isn’t that crazy?
Normally you only see the brain look like this when they do scans of cocaine addicts, heroin addicts, or alcoholics…
But in this case it was happening just because of sugar!
And if that weren’t disturbing enough…
The Harvard scientists also found that within four hours of drinking the high-sugar milkshake…
Every one of the participants in the study was hungry and craving more sugar!
This study surprised me because, while I’d heard that sugar was addictive before…
I didn’t realize that it was actually addictive in the same way that cocaine and other drugs could be…
The more I researched though, the more evidence I found that this was the case…
Including studies from…
Nora Volkow at the National Instute of Drug Abuse…
Eric Stice, a neuroscientist at the Oregon Research Institute…
And Dr. Mark Hyman – who found that sugar is 8x more addictive than cocaine
Now I could go on-and-on sharing research…
But instead…why don’t we just do a little experiment that proves sugar addiction is very real.

What’s your reaction here?

I’m trying to make a point…
Which is that sugar is incredibly addictive.

When sugar enters your bloodstream…
Your body releases a hormone called insulin.
Insulin’s job is to send sugar to your liver, muscle tissue, and other cells…

It your body must store that sugar somewhere, so it can be “saved for later”…
And guess where it gets stored?
Your fat cells!
The more sugar you eat, the more fat is created…
And this fat is formed in all the places you’d expect, like your butt, your thighs, your hips…
Plus some of the fat also collects in places like your liver – which is why there’s such a thing as fatty liver disease.
Okay so at this point, you might be thinking:
“Sure I get that sugar is addictive. But I don’t eat too much sugar, and I still struggle with my weight – so my problem is something else!”
I get what you’re saying…
But here’s the thing…
Carbohydrates and Sugars are one and the same thing.
Did you realize that?
I always thought of Carbs and Sugars as being separate…
But according to Harvard University…
Carbs are, by definition, sugar.
There are simple carbs, which are made up of simple sugars…
And then there are complex carbs, which are made up of a variety of sugars.
But no matter if we’re talking about simple carbs or complex carbs…
Once you eat those carbs…
Your body goes to work breaking them back down to simple sugars…
And then guess what happens…
Your pancreas produces insulin…
The insulin sends some of the sugar to your cells…
But because there’s so much sugar in there from the carbs you just ate…
Your body is forced to store most of the sugar as fat!
So think about what this means:
You already know that sugar is addictive and makes you fat…
And now you realize that carbohydrates are made up of sugar…
So it’s easy to understand why carbs are addictive and make you fat too!

A randomized study published in the journal Nutrition and Metabolism enrolled 84 obese adults with type 2 diabetes…

And the other half on a low calorie diet that wasn’t low carb.
At the end of the study the keto group had 3x lower A1c…
They also lost significantly more weight than the low calorie group (9lbs more on average)…
And saw a significant improvement in good cholesterol, while the non-keto group saw zero improvement.
Plus diabetes medications were reduced or eliminated in 95.2% of the Keto Group (but not the low fat group).[4]
