Here is a Flashforge Creator Pro. The problem with this printer orginally a clog. The cause of the clog was the the cooling fans were on the wrong extruder. The fan direction were also reverse causing less flow. This caused heat creep and jamming. This printer came in with several issues. Its looks like there was a previous failed repair attempt. Thing were put together backwards. The is about a $5000 printers. Pretty nice in general but some lacking some extremely imports features like real time Z adajust, Bed leveling, etc... The extruder system is unique by way over complicated. I got this in batch or 3D printers to repair. This was clogged pretty good, had a bad endstop and loose bed screws. 2.85MM filament is not good for smaller printers. Faster filament is better. Less chance for heat creep. We finally gave up trying to find the oddball CR-10 max LCD. This sonic pad is pretty nice. It was meant a raspberry Pi repalcemt for klipper. I haven't restored one of these yet so I don't know if it has internal flash or cd card. If you have a creailty printer I would go this route. This is the work blow up yet. When the voltage regulator blew it took out everything on the 5V rail. The worst part is these mainboards and LCD's are expensive and hard to find. This printer came with no Z axis movement. Spilt Resin followed the leadscrew right into the stepper motor bearing. Resin made is way into the LCD making the printer unusable. The printer was very difficult to take apart. The build quality is nice. This printer came in with a unkown problem. It turned out to be a bad X axis endstop. The soldered on a new endstop. The endstop is part of a larder PCB that would be hard to find. The Prusa printer came with a melted extruder system. The nozzle was not torqued down correctly allowing melted filament to exit the top of teh heater block. This is pretty common. The filament oozes between the threads and makes a mess. I wanted a another CNC controller with more axis so I bought EC500 on Ali Express. When the package arrived I was surprised because I got the new V5 with output and input LED's. The problem the device does not work properly. I talked to a few people online and they are all having problem. The manufacturer is basically impossible to get a hold of the seller ghosted me. Mine partially works. My inputs work but I have now output function, that include pulse and direction. I had good luck with the previous version EC300 and NVEM based on the STM32 processor. Don't buy this until they get the bugs worked out. I worked on 50+ creality printers I think this is probably the best upgrade you can do. Along with a BLtouch/CR-Touch your printer will be actually be pretty decent. You need to do fixed bed mounts. The gear reduction will really help with skipping and back pressure. Nice compact unit. If your running a probe your will need to upgrade the firmware. The device moves the probe forward and will throw off your bed dimensions and G29. I decided to tear down my second EC300 and take a closer look at the PCB. I would love to know what kind of eeprom they are using. The chip is labeled IC. I believe its a eeprom the holds axis count and serial number. I know the axis count info it not stored on the arm processor because I flashed mine many times. When I restored the bin file the access count showed up again. This makes me believe this info is stored on an external drive like that IC. Lately I've been replacing allot of bad BigTreeTech 3D printer boards. Not sure what's up with the quality. My SKR Pico board would randomly crash. once I got heater bed error and another a tmcuart_respnce error. The problem was bad power in solder joints from the factory. These are called cold solder joints. The solder did not get hot enough to thoroughly fuse the parts. I got an incredible deal on the commercial grade 6090 CNC. One of the things I did like was the RichAuto pendant controller. I had a extra Nousum NVEM controller so installed it. I would prefer a EC300 or EC500. The connectors on the NVEM are too small. Now its converted I ready to do some test cuts. Pretty cool little printer. This printer had a bad PTFE tube Boden coupler. The customer complained about under extrusion. In a Boden setup the PTFE tube has to be locked in place for it to extrude. The problem with this printer was the internal extruder PTFE tube was not adjusted correctly causing jamming and under extrusion. There was also filament jammed into the PTFE tube preventing new filament from being loaded. I feel like this printer design will be a constant problem. It has a single drive extruder that easily cut into filament. The filament auto load and unload with be a guaranteed headache. Right now everything is back in working order. I had a unique issue with this board, When you power on the printer the hotend would immediately power full blast. The problem was a shorted mosfet. I love this little printer. Its my first and best printer. I've worked on over a hundred printers and I haven't had one print better. I'm not sure if its the small form factor or low inertia of the moving axis. Slow moving lead screw. I've done several major upgrades to this printer over the years. One the cool features of the SKR Pico is the out of box support to capacitive and inductive sensors. The issue with these sensors is that they usually need 6V+ to work reliable. The typical endstop plug supplies 5V. The pico supplies 12V-24V. My original idea was to power the Pi and LCD from the pico board. Its testing it worked. When I got everything hooked up it was dropping down to 4.65V. I had to install a buck convert to get rid of the power warning.
