Easy Carbureted LS Swap 2023 - EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW | LS Swapped Jet Boat | Carbed LS Swap |
Today we are looking at all the parts needed to install a carburetor on your LS engine and convert it to a carbureted LS engine. Down below I have a list of all the parts that you will need in order to successfully complete your ls carb conversion. Overall the process is pretty straight forward and most parts are plug and play. You might have to do a little bit of holley carburetor tuning but aside from that, if everything is bolted on correctly, you should be finished in only a few hours. For those trying to convert an EFI car to carburetor, you'll be spending more money but the process is not too bad either. Carburetors are a great way to simplify your LS swap and they always look great on top of a classic car engine.

Single Disk vs Twin Disk vs Triple Disk Clutches | Centerforce Clutches SST - Dyad - Triad Overview
Today we are joined once again by Trent over at @CenterforceClutches and we will be going over the differences between a single disk, twin disk and also triple disk clutches. We will breifly touch on why you would pick one over the other as well as help you decide what would work best in your application. The two single disk kits shown are the Centerforce 1 and the Centerforce 2. The the twin disk clutches are offered in an SST solid street twin disk clutch, Dyad twin disk as well as XDS cerametalic twin disk clutch system. The triple disk clutches are offered as a TRIAD setup and youc an get those in organic disk or cerametalic disks as well. In a previous video I showed you guys what steps were taken to build the clutch for my turbo LS. This video also answers why I stuck with a single disk instead of upgrading for the twin disk.

Today I am joined by Trent from @CenterforceClutches and we are at the Centerforce headquarters in Arizona. I made the trip from california so that Centerforce could build me a custom version of their Centerforce 2 Clutch Kit. The build consists of taking apart my stock clutch and figuring out what could be saved. Only the flywheel could be reused while the rest could only be used to take measurements for the new clutch. Originally the plan was to take the 10.5 inch clutch disk and install an 11 inch disk which would in itself increase the holding power by a lot. The engineers over at Centerforce found a way to fit a 12 inch clutch disk on the same flywheel which would further increase the holding power of the stage 2 clutch. The clutch was then upgraded again when they replaced the full face organic material and instead installed their segmented dual friction clutch disk. Top that off with their patented center weights and we now have a clutch is capable of supporting nearly 800hp. Whether or not the transmission can hold that power is unlikely but we will sure try to get there. This kit is upgrading my toyota r150 clutch disk and pressure plate that I have been using for the past 2 years. If I was not clear what this clutch is going to be installed in, it will be my carbureted ls which also happens to be a turbo carbureted LS Swap. This is a diy turbo kit so expect some cool videos to come out soon.

In this video I will be going over every tip and trick that I know of to install a clutch kit while also making it as clear as possible. There is a lot of information but this is all very important. This centerforce clutch kit will be installed in my 1975 Dodge W100 Power Wagon. This power wagon currently has an upgraded stock style clutch disk but it will all be replaced to make sure it can hold the power of my carbureted LS. The LS is also carbureted turbo with a blow through carburetor custom built by me. This clutch as designed to work with the Toyota R150 that I am currently using so we will see how much more power the little R150 can handle. The stock toyota disk is about 9.25 inches and the upgraded disk is 10 inches wide. Centerforce actually makes an off the shelf 11 inch clutch disk but for this combination they went with a whopping 12 inchs clutch disk, maxing out my flywheel. If this clutch cannot hold the power, I would need to upgrade the clutch further into a twin disk but we will just have to see.

This is the final part of the diy blow through carburetor series. In this video we will be going over how you can dial in the transition circuit on the secondary side of the carburetor. We will be going over the primary to secondary linkage as well as showing you where modifications need to be made on the new carburetor. We will also be recapping how to do basic tuning and I will offer guidance on what to do when you start to get everything together. This is the most important video by far but this series is just an intro course. Once you get the idea of what needs to be done, the real work can begin.

Today we are going through the power numbers on my carbureted blow through ls swapped dodge w100. This engine is a turbo 4.8 ls junkyard engine. Camshaft specs are 208/212 112lsa, turbo is a 78/75, stock silverado fuel pump with fuel max voltage booster. currently running on e85 and 14 degrees of timing. we made several runs at a several different boost levels and in this video i break it down for you. carburetor is an older barry grant 650 alcohol race demon that I had converted to gasoline and then to e85. ignition system is the daytona sensors smart spark LS. in future videos I will show you what I did to make it all work together.

The base plate has a lot of neat features such as a provision for a TPS sensor, stainless steel butterflies, throttle linkage adjusters, power valve back fire protection, secondary idle adjustment over top, vacuum ports on the older race carb and no vacuum ports on the new race carburetor which makes it perfect for putting boost to it. We also breifly talk about the main body, specifically about the boosters, adjustable air bleeds as well as the provisions to install a vacuum secondary diaphragm pod if you really wanted to. In part 2 we will hopfully go over the tuning aspect of these carbs as well as several other features so keep an eye out for when that video comes out!

Billet Aluminum Rocker Stands By PRW Industries 0273461 | Carbureted Turbo LS Swapped W100 |
Today we are going over the sad sad story of how I blew up my engine on the dyno last year while getting my turbo carbureted ls ready to head across the country to the No Name Nationals. My carbureted turbo ls was a victim of failed valve train hardware and had to be redone not once, but twice. In order to prevent things like this from happening we will be installing this set of rocker pedestals by PRW Industries into my turbo LS along with the trunion upgraded rocker arms themselves. Trunion Upgrade And LS Rockers By PRW Industries 0635717 | Carbed Turbo LS Swapped Dodge W100 |
Today we will be looking at a set of upgraded rocker arms from the guys over at PRW Industries. These rockers are rated at the same rocker ratio as the factory rocker arms but have an upgraded body that is overall stronger to prevent breakage but also to prevent deflection in the valve train. This set of rockers are going to be installed in the turbo 4.8 LS that is currently in my 1975 dodge w100 4x4 truck. The current rockers in my LS are the factory rockers with regular trunions. Installing these rockers will allow my truck to rev out more safely and stable up towards 7000 rpm or more.

Turbo Carbureted Cold Start- E85 Turbocharged Carbureted LS 4.8 | Turbo Dodge W100 Power Wagon|
Today we will be looking at starting my truck in below freezing temperatures. My truck is a 1975 dodge w100 power wagon and it sports a carbureted LS with a modified demon 650 carburetor and a 78/75 turbocharger. The engine itself is a 4.8l lr4 with a holley dual plane intake, 2 inch spacer, 4 inch hat spacer and stage 1 truck cam at 208/212 duration. Carburetors get a bad rap because it is said that they do not like to run in the cold and that they are hard to start which is true when they are tuned poorly but if you take the time to tune your 4150 style carburetor, you should be able to get it to run however you want and in any condition. JMS FuelMAX Installation And Walk Through | JMS Fuel MAX | Carbureted LS
Today we will be installing the FuelMAX fuel pump booster by JMS. This box is an amplifier that increases voltage in order to increase the flow of the pump without having having to do anything else. This system was designed to help fuel pumps that are just out of their tuning window in high stress situations. The way that I will be using the fuel max is to have it activate once the engine is under boost in my turbo ls. I have found that my current pump can only support fueling up to 12lbs of boost before it runs out of power. With this fuel max I should be able to push this fuel pump much harder to get me towards the 20lbs of boost range on my blow through carbureted LS. In a naturally aspirated high horsepower engine you could use it to activate a wide open throttle or by a 5v referenced sensor. JMS Chip also sells other units to increase spark output as well as other modules designed to increase performance.

How To Wire Electric Fans - MFA100 Fan Switch And Wiring Kit | Maradyne High Performance Fans |
Today we are going through the installation of the electric fan wiring for made by Maradyne High Performance Fans. This thermostat uses a capillary tube to activate the switch that grounds out the electric fan relay. The harness supplied with this kit is designed to work with A/C, without A/C, single fan and also dual fan set ups. Installation took about 45mins and difficulty would be rated at about 2 out of 5.
