Nuclear threat as Russian war games with Yars intercontinental ballistic missile system
Russian Ministry of Defence has released these images showing what it says are "intensive manoeuvring operations" involving its nuclear-capable Yars intercontinental ballistic missile systems.
The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement on Wednesday, 1st June at 6 AM, that the Yars mobile missile systems, which can carry nuclear warheads and which boast a reported range of over 10,000 kilometres (6,200 miles), were performing “intensive manoeuvring operations on combat patrol routes in the Ivanovo Region”.
The Ivanovo region lies east of the Russian capital Moscow and the images, filmed by the Russian MoD, show soldiers removing camouflage from what appears to be a mobile Yars missile system. The vehicle can then be seen making its way along a dirt track while being escorted by troops.
The MoD added that “about 1,000 military personnel are involved in the exercises”, which also involve “more than 100 pieces of equipment”.
The MoD said that the exercises include “strategic rocket men work[ing] out the issues of bringing missile systems to field positions, making marches up to 100 kilometres [62 miles] long, dispersing units with a change in field p

Russian soldier instantly REGRETS giving Ukraine drone the finger as base is destroyed
A Russian soldier instantly regrets giving a Ukrainian drone the finger moments before the area is blown to hell in massive explosions.
The footage, which appears to have been shot from a drone, shows what appeared to be Russian soldiers on the ground at a farmhouse, standing next to a military vehicle. The drone zooms in, at which point one of the soldiers appears to look up and spot it, raising his hand and giving it the finger.
The footage then shows the area being blown up.
The images were shared online by Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, along with the caption: "Zaporizhzhia region. The filigree work of the special forces of the 15th Main Directorate of the DVKR SBU [Security Service of Ukraine]."
Ukrainian media have reported that the operation killed 82 Russian soldiers, although this figure has not been independently verified.
The adviser reportedly said: "The cost of such an attack copter - a drone made by the Aerorazvedka association - is only 35-40 thousand dollars. And the effect in terms of destroyed Russian equipment would be measured in billions of dollars a month."
He added: "This is an inexpensive and effective method of fighting the occupiers."

Region of intense conflict near Kyiv turned into tank cemetery
A region, turned into a tank cemetery with the tanks wrecked in the intense clashes and left on the roadside near the capital Kyiv of Ukraine, attracts people.
The area between the villages of Dmitrivka and Zabuchia, which is 27 kilometres away from the centre of Kyiv bears the traces of intense conflicts.
Anadolu Agency video shows people walking around and taking pictures of the region where the Russian army's advance to Kyiv was experienced and turned into tank cemetery with abandoned tanks.
At least 4,301 civilians have been killed and 4,735 injured since the war in Ukraine began on Feb. 24, according to UN estimates. The true toll is believed to be significantly higher.
Over 6.6 million people have fled to other countries, while more than 7.7 million have been internally displaced, according to the UN refugee agency. That represents roughly one-third of Ukraine's pre-war population of 43 million people.

DRAMATIC moment Ukrainian defenders blitz Russian units hiding in former residential buildings in a village in southern Ukraine.
The 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the attack took place in a village near the city of Huliaipole in the southern Ukrainian region of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The brigade joked that they organised a “hellish party” for the invading unit after noticing them travelling to the Ukrainian village to “look for a DJ and musical instruments”.
The Ukrainian brigade said on 27th May: “In one of the hamlets in the Huliaipole region, orcs organised a mass movement. They were very busy - they were probably looking for a DJ and musical instruments. With the help of cannons of 45 rounds and cooperation with air reconnaissance units of 15 GU DVKR and Azov, we organised a hellish party.”
In the footage, the defending forces identify several buildings in the village and rain down bombs on the Russian positions, apparently destroying military gear and killing enemy soldiers.

Ukrainian soldiers brace themselves in frontline trenches of Donetsk
UKRAINIAN servicemen patrolled trenches in the frontline Donetsk region Sunday (May 29), as they fight off Russian attempts to capture more land in the eastern part of Ukraine.
Dmytro, a former English teacher, said his biggest fear was being told to ''stop fighting“.
''A negotiated settlement can only happen on Ukrainian terms and at present if it happened it would be horror,” he said, adding that such a move could end President’s Zelenskiy’s career.
Video filmed by Reuters also showed damage to buildings in the town of Bakhmut. Russia had said it used missile strikes to destroy Ukrainian command posts in Bakhmut and Soledar. Both towns are on an important road running southwest from Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk.
