Ukrainian marines pummel Russians with artillery
UKRAINIAN Marines joke about bad weather as they pummel Russians with artillery.
Footage appears to show Ukrainian Marines pummelling Russian positions with artillery before joking about how the ‘occupiers' were being hit by ‘thunderstorms' and ‘hail'.
The video was released by the 36th Separate Marine Brigade - officially the 'Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky 36th Separate Marine Brigade' - of the Ukrainian Navy, who jokingly said: ‘Weather forecasters predict thunderstorms in the Mykolaiv area, for our 'beloved' occupiers, as well as 'hail'.'

PRO-RUSSIAN militants fire rocket launchers at Ukrainian positions in full scale assault.
The footage begins by showing a helicopter crossing the sky before cutting to what appear to be two BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher vehicles.
One of the vehicles can be seen flying what appears to be a pirate skull and crossbones flag while the other appears to fly the Russian flag, with the Russian coat of arms on it. Both vehicles have a white 'Z' daubed on their side.
A soldier can be seen speaking into a walkie-talkie, with the vehicles in the background, before they suddenly start firing their missiles at unseen targets.

BRAVE firefighters tackle HUGE blaze at a factory hit by Russian bombs in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Fire crews worked to save a factory in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Monday (June 20) after shelling started a blaze that destroyed much of the workshop and warehouse. No casualties were reported.
Director Ihor Shevtsov said the factory had produced and stored water pumps, but it was unclear how much stock had survived the fire. The equipment, he said, could not be repaired.

Huge fireball explosion as Russian helicopter gunship is DESTROYED by Ukraine forces in Donetsk
Description
Huge fireball explosion as Russian helicopter gunship is DESTROYED by Ukraine forces in Donetsk
Ukrainian soldiers reportedly shoot down a massive Russian helicopter gunship.
The Russian helicopter, reportedly a Mil Mi-24, comes crashing down in a field in a ball of flames.
The images were obtained from the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with a short statement saying: "In the Donetsk region fighters of territorial defense of Ukraine brought down the Russian military Mi-35M helicopter."
Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is calling a "special military operation" to "liberate the Donbass". Today marks the 114th day of the invasion.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February and 16th June, Russia had lost about 32,950 personnel, 1,449 tanks, 3,545 armoured fighting vehicles, 729 artillery pieces, 233 multiple launch rocket systems, 97 air defence systems, 213 warplanes, 179 helicopters, 591 tactical drones, 129 cruise missiles, 13 warships, 2,494 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 55 pieces of special equipment.
Washington has told China it risks ending up on the "wrong side of history" following Chinese President Xi Jinping's assurance to Russian President Vladimir Putin that Beijing supports Russian "sovereignty".
Thousands of civilians remain trapped in the key eastern Ukrainian city of Sievierodonetsk, where the water supply is reported to be dwindling. Hundreds of civilians are taking shelter in the bunkers beneath the city's Azot chemical plant.
Luhansk Oblast governor Serhiy Haidai said earlier this week that all three bridges into Sievierodonetsk had been destroyed, making delivering supplies and evacuating civilians impossible.

Birmingham fire, huge blaze breaks out at recycling plant
A HUGE fire has broken out at a recycling plant on Sunday evening with thousands of tons of cardboard and paper on fire.
Residents have been told to avoid the area and keep windows shut as more than 20 water pumps battle the blaze.
Two aerial hydraulic platforms, a drone and a high volume water pumping unit have also all been deployed to help in Birmingham.
The orange burning glow from the flames was captured on camera as smoke billowed into the air.
And stacks of paper and cardboard burnt in front of firefighters.
Ash has also reportedly been falling from the sky onto the roads.
There are currently no reports of casualties, according to the Mirror.
More than 100 firefighters were sent to tackle the fire at the Smurfit Kappa Recycling compound.
Sheldon Fire Station, a local fire station, said earlier: "Red Watch from Sheldon Fire Station are currently at a major fire in the Nechells area of Birmingham.
"As a specialist High Volume Pump station, we are supplying high volumes of water to the incident ground from the River Rea."

Boris Johnson HITS BACK back at Prince Charles' alleged comments on
BORIS Johnson on Monday insisted his Rwanda plan was the "right thing" to do following blistering criticism from Prince Charles.
A row erupted this weekend when it was revealed the heir to the throne had privately branded the policy "appalling".
While sidestepping a full-blown public bust-up with the next King, the PM staunchly defended the controversial plan.
Asked if Charles was wrong, he told LBC: "What I don't think we should support is continued activity by criminal gangs."
He added: "I do think that it's the job of Government to stop people breaking the law and to support people who are doing the right thing; that's what we are doing."
Mr Johnson and the Prince of Wales are set to come face to face in Rwanda for the heads of Commonwealth meeting next week.

Journalists dive for cover just in time as Russian shell explodes in Luhansk

Journalists dive for cover just in time as Russian shell explodes in Luhansk
JOURNALISTS narrowly escape with their lives by jumping for cover just in time as a Russian shell explodes just inches away from them in this heart-stopping footage.
The dramatic footage here was recorded by Chan Tsz Yuk’s GoPro. In an Instagram post, he said he was heading from Lysychansk into Sievierodonetsk with another photographer, Kaoru Ng, and a local journalist, Mykola Pastukh, who was working as their fixer.
However, the three turned back towards Lysychansk when they saw some burning vehicles and thought it would not be safe to continue.
They were discussing the situation with two Ukrainian soldiers when a shell landed close to where they were standing. After they dove for cover in a ditch, two more shells landed, Chan Tsz Yuk said. Pastukh was hit in the right arm by shrapnel.

Ukraine forces destroy 3 Russian multiple rocket launchers in Sievierodonetsk
These images purport to show Ukrainian special forces destroying three Russian multiple rocket launcher vehicles in the Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainians have said that the vehicles had been used to shell the city of Sievierodonetsk.
The images appear to show the Russian multiple rocket launcher vehicles being hit by Ukrainian artillery fire, leaving them destroyed and on fire, with black smoke rising into the air.
The footage was obtained from the Command of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Monday, 13th June, along with the following statement: "Luhansk region: hunting for the enemy. Thanks to the SSO of Ukraine, three enemy Grads were burned."
The BM-21 Grad is a multiple rocket launcher vehicle originally built in the Soviet Union.
The SSO added: "During reconnaissance of the enemy's rear in the Sievierodonetsk direction, our operators discovered several MLRS BM-21 'Grad' installations.
"The enemy used them to shell Sievierodonetsk, other settlements and positions of the Defence Forces of Ukraine."
They added that after having established the exact coordinates of the enemy vehicles, their soldiers relayed this information to artillerymen operating M777 howitzers.
The SSO added: "Our colleagues destroyed 3 out of 4 enemy MLRS installations with accurate fire. Another Grad installation was damaged as a result of the shelling."
Russian troops invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation". Today marks the 110th day of the campaign.
The footage and the statement were also relayed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which reported that between 24th February and 13th June, Russia had lost 32,300 personnel, 1,432 tanks, 3,492 armoured fighting vehicles, 718 artillery systems, 226 multiple launch rocket systems, 97 anti-aircraft systems, 213 warplanes, 178 helicopters, 2,460 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, 13 warships, 585 drones, 54 pieces of special equipment and 125 cruise missiles.
A huge fire is reportedly raging at a chemical plant in Sievierodonetsk as street-to-street fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces takes place in the city.

Violent fighting in Luhansk leaves villagers' crops threatened by fires
VIOLENT fighting in Luhansk leaves villagers battling to extinguish huge fires threatening their crops and livelihoods.
For civilians who stayed behind in their villages along the frontline in the Donbas the fighting between Russia and Ukraine poses a new threat. Shelling and firing of rockets nearby sets their fields on fire and can destroy their crop. With a dry and hot summer approaching the risk is increasing.
“I saw smoke and came to put it out. I saw smoke, I was out in my garden. I didn't see the explosion,” 51-year old Vladimir told Reuters on Sunday (June 12) as he tried to stop flames destroying his field in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.
Constant shelling and exchange of fire leaves a trail of smoke and destruction in its wake, threatening people's livelihoods in the embattled east.

Ukrainian forces destroy Russian amphibious armoured vehicle
These images purport to show the moment Ukrainian forces take out a Russian amphibious armoured vehicle.
The images show a military vehicle on a road in a forested area before it is hit, with explosions causing it to catch fire.
It is currently unclear where exactly the footage was filmed but the images were obtained from the 30th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces on Wednesday, 8th June.
The war in Ukraine is currently raging in the eastern part of the country.
The 30th Mechanized Brigade said: "Our tankers are aware of how important it is to save the country and people's lives, so without thinking, they just do their job.
A matter that is very effective and fruitful is the destruction of the enemy. The enemy BMP burns."
'BMP' refers to an amphibious infantry fighting vehicle first developed by the Soviet Union and currently used primarily by the Russian Armed Forces.

Texas school shooting survivor, 11, recalls using friend’s blood to survive
THE 11-year-old girl survivor who covered herself in her friend's blood to hide from the Texas school shooter welled up in her testimony to the House Committee on Wednesday.
Miah Cerrillo, 11, witnessed her teachers and classmates be shot dead by gunman Salvador Ramos, 18, at Robb Elementary in Uvalde on May 24.
In a pre-recorded video, Miah described the horror that played out that fateful day when the teen gunman stormed into her fourth-grade classroom and told her teacher "goodnight' before shooting her in the head.
"He shot some of my classmates, he shot my friend next to me. I thought he was going to come back to the room, so I grabbed blood and put it all over me," the distraught 11-year-old said.
In her statement, Miah said she doesn't feel safe at school "because I don't want it to happen again."
Miah's emotional father, Miguel, was in tears throughout his testimony, saying he was there because he "almost lost his baby girl."
“She is not the same little girl. I wish something would change not only for our kids but every single kid in the world because schools are not safe anymore," Miguel said, fighting back tears.
Miah sustained injuries in the shooting and had bullet fragments in her back but has since fully recovered.
Her aunt, Blanca Rivera, previously told Click 2 Houston that the 11-year-old has struggled to cope with the tragedy and has had panic attacks.

The footage opens with an aerial shot of the trench, in which a handful of Russian soldiers can be seen apparently discharging their firearms at the filming drone.

Ukraine forces destroy Russian IFV with British missile system
These videos purport to show a Russian infantry fighting vehicle spewing smoke and fire after Ukrainian soldiers blasted it with a British-made missile.
Newsflash obtained the footage from the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade - an airmobile formation of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces - yesterday (Tuesday, 7th June).
The brigade said: "The enemy has not got through!
"Units of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to inflict losses on Russian occupants, fighting them in the eastern direction."
The brigade added: "Recently, while the invaders were trying to cut through a strategically important highway in eastern Ukraine, the paratroopers of the 80th Brigade disrupted the enemy's plans and prevented them from advancing."
The brigade also said: "In the course of the battle, which lasted until 2pm, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with an NLAW missile launcher, set alight a Russian BMD and, in total, about 50 men of the 104th Guards Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Guards Air Assault Division based in Pskov, which the Russian Armed Forces consider elite."
The brigade did not reveal where exactly in Ukraine the counterstrike took place.
BMD stands for 'Boyevaya Mashina Desanta', which literally translates to 'Combat Vehicle of the Airborne'. It is a Soviet airborne amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicle that entered service in 1969. It is operated by a handful of militaries, including those of both Ukraine and Russia. It can be dropped by parachute.

Russian soldiers run for their lives as Ukraine forces target troops in Donbas
Ukrainian troops target Russian soldiers - who they call "uninvited tourists" - in the Donbas region.
The footage shows a number of people, reportedly Russian soldiers, walking single file into trees near to where a Ukrainian mine goes off.
The images were obtained from the K-2 Battle Group, which is part of the 54th Mechanized Brigade, which has been fighting in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine since 2014.
The K-2 Battle Group said: "We continue to show the voyage of uninvited 'tourists' on foot through the streets of Marinka, in the Donetsk region.
"A crowd of 'tourists' walked by looking around, but they did not see the surprise on the road, which was set by the guys from the reconnaissance group K2 with the help of the no-less-famous 'construction' brigade).
"The surprise worked and the uninvited 'tourists' did not like it [...]."
They signed off with the now famous slogan "Slava Ukraini!", which means "Glory to Ukraine!" in English.
Russian troops invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation". Today marks the 104th day of the campaign.
From 24th February to 6th June, the total combat losses of Russian troops stand at around 31,250 personnel, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military also claims that Russia has lost 1,386 tanks, 3,400 armoured fighting vehicles, 690 artillery systems, 207 multiple launch rocket systems, 96 anti-aircraft systems, 211 warplanes, 176 helicopters, 2,395 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, 13 vessels, 551 unmanned aerial vehicles, 53 units of special equipment, and 125 cruise missiles.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Centre for Strategic Communications (StratCom) said on 6th June that Russian Major General Roman Kutuzov was killed in a battle near Popasna in the Luhansk region. This has now been confirmed by Russian state media.
The United Kingdom and the United States have announced that they are sending long-range missile systems to Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned of more attacks in Ukraine if the West sends long-range weapons.
Russian missiles struck Kyiv on Sunday in the first assault on the Ukrainian capital in weeks.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russian attacks on the cities of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk have turned them into "dead cities". But he added that Ukrainian forces could still hold Severodonetsk despite being outnumbered.
Russia's ambassador to the United Nations has walked out of a Security Council meeting after his country was blamed for triggering a global food crisis.
