Today we have added a 2x72 Grinder to my dads shop! We obviously had to have something to put it on so we got a Vevor 72” shop table, and a nice shop chair from them too! My dad has always wanted a bandsaw so we got one of those from Wen at Home depo. All and all it was a big expense and a big risk on the investment side, but we are really going all in to make this a success. It’s finally happening! We have invested in the material to make a forge press. Now we have gone way overkill on the Frame for now. We plan on adding that cost in later. Today a bottle back should do with an Air compressor set up. Got the metal and more to follow. I am working at carving a wolf head into the guard on the handle for aesthetics. This will additionally cover up some of the faults in the steel that I had near the blade. I did not want to weld more on the knife. The concept of welding 3 different metals upside-down in water was extremely complicated with causing additional faults and creating new issues for welds. Chainsaws are a an entirely different animal of course. In order to get a level cut on posts beams and others its important to make sure that you have a spacer between your saw and the jig. As you can see in my video it flew off when the hot glue didn't stick well enough So watch Jon Peters full video for what glue he uses.
