Crystal Project 41: Quintar Breeding
Several videos combined into one. Look, I Googled how to figure out how to get a Golden Quintar. You should too.
No time stamps. Just suffer multiple hours of quintar racing, me trying to keep my spirits up, and learning how to race quintar. Chocobo breeding was the worst part of FF7, and I feel like quintar breeding, while not great, was not nearly as bad as chocobo breeding was.
Next up: Tree, Jade Passage and Castle!

Crystal Project 40: Ancient Labyrinth
The Ancient Labyrinth is the Magic Only Zone. Here the Nomad's ability to use AP for magic turns out to be incredibly useful, until the boss, which turns out to be a Magi Master rematch, and I hate that guy. Thankfully, MP Drain + Re-raise (or Stalwart) saves the day as always. If you mana drain, and have a Beatmaster to MP dance up, there's no excuse to not have the AoE Re-raise Summon timed for dropping the boss. Thankfully, I looked at the boss's skills and saw that Meteorite had no MP cost. Requiem and Lucky Dice can ignore the Wall Change too, so since you'll want the MP regen dance and Monster Magic equipped anyway, you can completely ignore that mechanic if you so choose. Warlock will let you apply Burn... but uh, not much.
I forgot how long it takes me to actually get in the Labyrinth.

Crystal Project 39: Sky Arena
There really aren't many time stamps here. I'll just put the start and then the final successful run. The key is to have your solo person able to heal up and tank some hits. I went with Reaper/Warrior for stances and debuffs, but probably any Reaper/X combination will work. As always, we let DoTs do the work.

Crystal Project 38: Dummy and the Old World
There's two things we take care of here. The stupid dummy in the main city and exploring the Old World thanks to our gardening via Gabriel.
The Dummy is another AoE physical attacker, so slap on that Rogue secondary for the dodge stance and blinds and an Assassin's Cape on the third non-tank character. I put a Quintar Pelt on Muriel, who would have to eat the Bloodspiller, so she swapped to Beatmaster to wear the Quintar Pelt to null the bleed. The Training Sword is nice, but it comes pretty late in the fight. Like the Master Materia, it goes well on a Mimic sporting a secondary you haven't invested in.
In the Old World, the Periculum is dangerous because of Hazard Stance and Mist Stance primarily, killing you on a counter and shutting down Magic damage. Unreactable, Effigies and Hope's Cross can negate the Hazard Stance. Stone and Mist Stance you can just get around by timing when to use abilities, and I got around Stone Stance just by relying on DoTs to put in work. Pain Spreader is another AoE physical, so get some immunity gear on and Rogue Secondary, which is also helpful to stop Dark Overtures. You can't dispel the stance, despite me thinking we'll be smart and try that at one point. So, combine the two common strategies we've been employing for bosses (Instant Kill avoidance and AoE minimization) and defeat the Periculum (make sure to magic down or Shell up)!
I may have swore at one point when I made a mistake. All that's left is the tree, the labyrinth, the castle and breeding a Golden Quintar.

Crystal Project 37: Evil Shark, Tentacles, Gabriel and Hermetic
We've got a few more bosses to knock off. The last two in the Deep, Gabriel and then the Tall, Tall, Heights burrowing boss. They each required some set ups. I don't know why this video is off center. Maybe all of them have been. Sorry.
The Evil Shark bases its trick off just eating you alive. We get around this with some standard CC, Stalwart, and re-raise. Healing isn't too important, just enough to keep you out chip kill range with its AoE. The set up takes a bit, but slapping Stalwart on everyone essentially buys us some extra bites. As a fun note, whoever has the Crab Claw gets a second Stalwart stack. If you don't have the Valkyrie/Bardbarian set up, a Crab Claw on your Stalwart tank might be great. The Assassin's Cloak is useful for all the "dodge AoE" fight set ups you need to do.
The Peacekeeper is actually a pretty straight forward fight if you've got good AoE and and cleansing. We knock it out without even having to do a special set up. It drops a Guardian Angel, which might help you against the Shark's aggressive eating habits. Basically, all the STEM bosses give you neat stuff.
Gabriel requires some set up to avoid all the DoT effects. Once you've got that taken care of, along with standard Rogue interrupts, you should have the damage by this point to power through its health if you cleared the bosses to get here. Fang Pendants and Quintar Pelts can help you deal with Bleeding and Poison, at which point the Burning isn't that big of a deal to heal/Warlock cleanse through.
Hermetic to be safe you can set up to avoid the instant kill from the ice combo and Devour, you can skip the Effigies + Hope Cross stuff if you can manage blinds/CC for the Devours and cleanses for the frost, but immunity just seems the safer way to go. Other than that, pretty straight forward as well. Probably should have tackled this guy before Gabriel, huh?

Crystal Project 32: Quintar Eggs, Conscript, Undergrowth and Earth Summon
This is way more exciting than episode 31! We take out three bosses after collecting some Quintar Eggs. The Conscript in the tram tunnel proves easy once we slap on three Effigies and an accessory that negates instant death, while the Undergrowth proves to be a push over once you know you can Silence and Paralyze it out of Cloning itself. Likewise, thanks to the Earth Bangles we farmed up, the Earth Summon is also pretty easy. Time stamps below!
At the end we even go steal a healer bow and a two handed tanking sword from the J. Tangle dungeon, because we can.

Crystal Project 30: Mimics and Weavers... and Wandering
Alright! The leap of faith worked out. We pick up the Mimic Crystal and find the Undergrowth boss. I think we can pick that boss off after finishing to pick up new equipment and the Life Summon.
Speaking of which, after the Undergrowth killed us, we finally head to the J. Tangle. There, we found the Life Summon, where we finally swap Zarron back to a Hunter to Barrage the adds. Timing Lelias's hard CC to negate the revive all from the boss made this a pretty easy fight, especially with Muriel stacking DoTs and an attack all as a Beatsmith to mitigate the damage.
Finally, we finish picking up the keys and enter the Hidden Temple (I'd like to think we're the Blue Barracudas.) Fully exploring here gets us the Weaver (Time Mage style class) crystal and the second book.
We're also almost all Level 60. Lelias is lagging behind, as always, the slacker. Next up, picking up the Beastmaster Seal and seeing if we can defeat the Lake Delende Summon.

Crystal Project 28: Moat Monster, Quintar Tombs, Beastmaster and Wandering
We finally get around to our exploration. Four basic sections: First, we finally beat the Moat Monster. Then, on to the Quintar Tombs to learn to speak to Quintars, then some Quintar races. Next, we explore the Ramparts a bit and find the Beastmaster crystal. Then, taking out Masashi. Finally, to the Chalice of Tar to find the Vermillion Book.
After we come back, we'll probably change those Nomad levels on Muriel to something else. Same with Zarron's Dervish levels. Emikis might consolidate Wizard/Chemist/Scholar levels into Monk for HP.

Crystal Project 27: Wandering and Buttermint
We've finally found a few places to go to. We take some time at the start to pick up some cheese skills from Rogue for everyone after realizing the Dodge all Physical AoEs skill is going to crucial to our future success once we come across another AoE murder machine. After that, we collect a Woke Quintar Eye and decide to bring it back to the guy who collects Quintar Eyes.
Except, not THAT Quintar Eye. Surprise boss! It takes some fiddling, but thanks again to a Ninja Aegis with DoTs and Dodges, we get through. Then we do some gardening. We finally mastered Reaper on someone too!

Crystal Project 26: Shadow and Reflection
Guys, we found the gimmick summons. The first one (on the left) evades all attacks for 18 actions. So... we set up to endure and used Double Cast to eat through multiple charges of it. Then, with it's 1 measly hit point, Emikis stabbed it to death. The second one is the standard reflect-o-rama boss.
For the Shadow boss, Emikis had White Magic and Lelias had Doublecast Remedy as secondaries. Muriel went Aegis over Ninja with Remedy as her secondary to help keep the Doom effect clear while also applying Defense and Resist buffs as needed. Zarron swapped back to Monk for more cleanses and a Revive and slotted Beatsmith as his secondary to keep MP up . This one took us a bit longer because I misread the buff, thinking it was it lasted 18 TURNS not 18 HITS. Embarrassing.
For the Reflect Boss, Muriel swapped over to Ninja and equipped the Brigandine to equip the Burning Sword and the Paralyze Sword. She stuck Paralyze a few times over the course of the fight, which was huge for us. Her constant DoT pressure with Poison (from an accessory), Bleeding (from Blood Spiller) and Burning (from her Sword) let us get surprisingly large amounts of damage through despite boss resists. Lelias's secondary was Item for this fight, so she mainly got a few good turns with her Summon magic (including layering Blink up for when the boss did physical attacks), while Zarron swapped to Beat Smith with Equip Dagger to use Trickery to apply interrupts, which he was able to do a few times to avoid some dangerous spells.
No levels or other stuff, but I feel like both of these bosses really show what a turn based JRPG can do.

Crystal Project 20: Fish Race and Assassin/Samurai Master
Not a lot this time around. We got the Assassin and Samurai class masters, and we won fish race. It got us... Faster Fish. I... am not sure why our reward for being the fastest fish is FASTER fish, but fish.

We finally buckle down to do a dungeon, specifically, the volcano! There's a brief interlude where I try to remember where the Assassin class master is and stumble across the Ganymede Shrine.

Crystal Project 18: More Fish and Goat Wandering
So, I did some wandering. I found a Quintar Mausoleum. I found some treasures above the catfish statue. I have enough Underpass scraps to buy an Underpass scrap when I have money.
No timestamps because there's no organization here. If you want to find the secrets, you have to watch the whole thing.
We also found a tram and a Valkyrie Outpost. Next time, Volcano Adventures!

Crystal Project 17: Wandering with Rent-a-Salmon
There's not much to say about this video. No time stamps even. If you want to see where the secret stuff I found on the Rent-a-Salmon is, you'll just have to watch the whole thing. We finished LP on Scholar for Lelias, and thanks to our new fish, unlocked Nomad for Emikis. With our fish, we have the following places left to explore that I can remember (not in order of what I plan to explore):
Tall, Tall Heights
Overpass
Castle
Quintar Reserve
Land's End
Flyer's Refuge
Salmon Bay
Salmon Room + J... Whatever Place
Salmon Statue
Beauroir Volcano
Evil Mushroom in Tunnel
Evil Crag Demon Monster
Evil Troll Monster
