This went pretty well, all in all. Accessory exercises are still feeling significantly weaker, particularly rowing, but that'll recover, in due time. Squats definitely seem to be the lift that is coming back the best, since getting back on the horse. I even ended up doing an extra rep on the top set, because I think I just got in my head that I had to do six instead of 5, hahaha. Oh well, just means it was easy 🤘🏻. One step at a time, I'm clawing my way back.

After how surprisingly well my Paused Squat session went the day previous, I was feeling very confident that I could nail today's numbers, too; and that I did. I'm not feeling at 100 percent capability I think, especially in terms of speed and explosiveness, but far better than I anticipated in this first week. Looking forward to pushing further 🤘🏻.

Paused Squats. Block 1 Week 1. Great day!
I'm really happy with how this session went! The first two days of the week were less exciting, as as of the lifts particularly deadlift, were feeling pretty weak, resulting in me doing lower weight than what was prescribed. I still feel like my squat and bench is not as strong as before, but it definitely feels like I am moving in the right direction. I forgot to record my benching though, lol. Oh well.

105 Kgs Reverse-Grip Bench Press. FIRST TIME, EVER!
Man this lift feels sketchy AS HELL with heavy weight, lol. I think I could have done more, but due to how precarious it feels, and not wanting to overtax myself, as I am just messing around, I decided to call it here. Noy a fan of this at heavy weight, but for lower percentage assistance/hypertrophy work, I think these could be quite nice, as an alternative exercise.

120 Kgs Zercher Deadlift. FIRST TIME, EVER.
Since I am FINALLY getting an opportunity to work out again, mid way through this week, as things are starting to get back to normal. I just thought I would mess around a bit this week, for fun, and also do some accessory/hypertrophy lifts for now, then get back into the program, next week. I've literally never done the Zercher Deadlift from the floor; only the Zercher Full Cycle version, (deadlift to knees, and then zercher squat upwards), as my body just literally cannot get in that position/that low, to do it. Which is why I had to put the bar a bit higher on the mats, to even make it feasible, with a decent amount of weight. Form was terrible, as to be expected, on a first go at it, but cut me some slack, hahaha. This was only my 3rd set, too. Going from 60 Kgs, to 100, and then this. I could probably do more, and I tried for 140 Kgs, but it just was not happening with this style. Just feels way too off, and inefficient, with my body/structure. I could lift the weight, but the bar would just slip out of my grip. Maybe I'll try the full cycle zercher style, someday. Which I haven't done in over two plus years; as those at least feel better, in not having to twist your body in to a pretzel, to get the weight, lol.

Comp deadlift session felt pretty weak, but today felt okay. Still congested, and feeling weaker, but my drive remains, and I feel like my pep is starting to come back. Slowly yet surely coming around. I may lose a week of training due to my upcoming wedding/friends and family stuff, and everything else, but it is what it is.

No deadlift test, for now! Plans moving forward.
As I mentioned before, I was feeling pretty off, tired, and not that strong, after my deload, and during my 1RM tests for Squat and Bench Press. Therefore, I decided to play it smart, and hold off on testing for Deadlift, for the moment. Due to many factors, it just wouldn't be a good idea, and wouldn't be worth it. So I am now going to work on getting back on track, and running the program that I had just completed again, as I quite enjoyed it.

130 Kgs Paused Bench Press FAIL.
My energy and strength completely crashed after my Squat 1RM Tests that I did right before this, during my warming up for bench. I atleast scored 125 Kgs Paused as a PR, but 130 Kgs was the Grand-Daddy goal. I really shouldn't have went for it here, given what my state was. I should have just called it at 125 Kgs, or at the very least done 127.5 Kgs instead, as that still could have been possible. However, 127.5 Kgs just didn't motivate me; and my ammonia had me all hopped up, so I got in a frenzy, and went for it, against my better judgement, lol. On a day where I was feeling much better, I think I am capable of more. We'll get there, one way or another 🤘🏻.

125 KGS PAUSED BENCH PRESS. NEW 1 REP MAX PR!
My energy and strength completely crashed, during my warming up for benching, right after my Squat 1RM Test. My form and overall pressing power felt off, and most of all, the unracking of the weight felt constantly terrible, and was taking a big amount of energy from me, with every lift. Still, this seemed to move decently, taking the aforementioned factors in to account, and considering this is weight I have literally never touched before, with bench. I may have had 127.5 Kgs in me here on this day, but I was so completely gassed, and ended up being so consumed with going for 130 Kgs, that I made the foolhardy decision to go for that instead, haha. I think on a much better day, I have more in me. It'll come, one step at a time 🤘🏻.

REVENGE! EASY 190 KGS SQUAT 1 REP MAX PR!
It felt so good to FINALLY challenge 190 Kgs again, and this time DEMOLISH IT, with ease; even when I was feeling tired, off, and weaker. I definitely had more in me, but decided to save what little energy I had left for my Bench Press test, immediately after. I'm Looking forward to getting back to full strength, and to continue progressing. 200 Kgs is on the horizon 🤘🏻.

This was the most amount of weight that I had ever squatted, up to this point, and have not done so again, since I acheived that PR (and failing 190, on the past) despite feeling off, and my technique not being on point, this was ridiculously riculously easy . Big things coming 🤘🏻

SQUAT AND BENCH PRESS MAX TESTS
As per usual, I felt very low energy/crappy, not at my best, after my deload. However, I decided to press my luck, and go for some tests, anyway. I also tried out going barefoot with squats, which felt decent. I could tell from the offset that I was pretty off, and not feeling near as good as during my last week of the program. My form for both lifts, particularly the squat felt off, and the unracking for Bench Press just felt terrible. If I had help with the liftoffs, that could have been a big help for the bench, but it is what it is.

EASY 157.5 Kgs x 3 High Bar Squat. NEW PR!
Felt pretty tired on the last day of my program, but I was determined to net myself a PR, regardless. Low end goal was 155 Kgs, with the high end being 160 Kgs; as 150 for 3 last week with no knee sleeves was super easy. I decided to see how 145 Kgs felt, and then decide from there. Lo and behold, it felt like the empty bar, so I figured 155 Kgs would be too easy. I was very tempted to do 160 Kgs, but I decided to go a step in between and do 157.5 Kgs, as 10 Kgs is indeed a big jump in one week, and I didn't want to risk going over the RPE range. However, This set also ended up feeling pretty easy, lol. I think I could have pretty safely done 160 Kgs x3 after all, and still remainedin the RPE 8 zone. Oh well, it's better to be safe than sorry, and potentially overtax myself. Besides, this is still a whopping 7.5 Kgs increase from last week, so I can't complain! I'm going out of this program on a pretty high note 🤘🏻

3x10 125 Kgs Romanian Deadlifts. Last Set. New PR!
Like I previously stated, I could definitely feel the fatigue setting in, so these were feeling a bit tough, but I knew I could push through, and nab a little PR, while still staying in the proper RPE range. Gotta make this last week count! I also had to quickly shower, and head to work in around 10-15 minutes after this, so I had to blast these out really quick, lol.
