Bill Cosby is a Free Man? How is That Possible?
Today is July 1st, 2021. Yesterday morning the Pennsylvania Supreme Court abruptly vacated Bill Cosby's guilty verdict and within hours he was walking out of prison.
Not only that, but the court ruled he cannot be retried!
Didn't Bill Cosby admit to raping those women? Wasn't he forced to pay out millions in restitution to his victims, spanning over decades and scores of women? If all that evidence was against him, how in the world is he a free man today?
*Update* As we've been reading the PA Supreme Court decision and learning more about this case, we've learned that Bill Cosby NEVER DID admit to rape, nor even sexually assault his victims. What he DID do is admit he drugged them and then they had sex later. Apparently, the jury equated that to rape or at least sexual assault, and that led to the guilty verdict. Crazy!
This is not only a twisted, sick, and perverted case, but it's also a legal one that is likely to go down in history as beyond bizarre and an obvious miscarriage of justice for all of his victims.
But, as a video podcast that focuses on the process, we also have to explore the law, and cases like this actually show that the judicial system worked. Again, All Things Crime is NOT saying it's right morally, but based on everything we have read, it's legally the right decision.
YES, it's that crazy! Check out the episode, comment below, and please subscribe!

How Long Can Society Survive Under These Current Conditions? Jared Bradley
What do you do when some guy rides his bike into a San Francisco Walgreens and starts loading up stuff into a black garbage bag, then rides out? Now think of that on a large scale! That's what's happening in northern California right now, and that's why businesses, including Walgreens, are leaving in droves.
But California isn't the only place insanity is happening. Other major cities have prosecutors who refuse to prosecute smaller crimes and are also letting convicted felons back into the streets within hours of being arrested.
To NO ONE'S surprise, crime is spiking! Police are leaving in huge numbers and the citizens are suffering because of it. So what do we do? What CAN we do?

The Invaluable Role of the Law Enforcement Public Affairs Officer - Nelly Miles Part 1
How do law enforcement agencies avoid their cases falling into the trap of fake news? It can happen in an instant, especially with the insatiable demand for instant reports, explanations, and answers to questions where there may not be any, the law enforcement Public Affairs Officer (PIO) and Public Affairs Director (for the larger agencies) are critical.
In today's now-now world the delicate balance between the public's right to know and the sensitive and often rapidly evolving details of an investigation are always at odds. Ensuring that balance doesn't fall over the cliff towards one side or the other is the job of the law enforcement agency's PIO or Public Affairs Officer. When the organization consists of multiple offices the executive often has one person to oversee all the PIOs and flow of information, and that is exactly what Nelly Miles does.
And what a job! As if keeping the narrative about a case, conflict or issue on the true path isn't difficult enough when it's just one agency, imagine it when there is an entire state of agencies involved! Georgia has 800 law enforcement agencies, and Nelly Miles has to know at least a little about each one, a lot of the agency requires the help of the GBI or Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
In this All Things Crime episode Nelly discusses her role as the PAD, and how difficult it can be when there are no rules for rampant opinions on social media, but her ability to counter any false information is very limited, especially in ongoing investigations. It's a difficult job, but fortunately, amazing people like Nelly are willing to step up and do it!

The Invaluable Role of the Law Enforcement Public Affairs Officer - Nelly Miles Part 2
Is it possible for everyone, from the responding police officer to the judge and defense attorney, in the entire justice system to be corrupt? OR, is the case against an individual actually the truth?

Being a Cop in Today's Society w/ Zeek Arkham Part 2
Zeek Arkham isn't your normal cop. Especially at NYPD where the New York City Mayor and other politicians work hard to bully and suppress opinions that don't align with their own.
But Zeek is tired of that environment and recently reached a point where he had to speak out. So he became active on social media, especially Twitter (@zeekarkham), where he has over 30,000 followers, and he started a podcast called Reasonable Suspicion. He calls himself a CWA (Cop With Attitude) and he definitely lives up to the name!
Most importantly though, Zeek is straight-up honest and brutally truthful about what is happening to law enforcement in today's society, and why all of us should care. What's it like making a split-second decision that could literally lead to life or death for you or another person? How frustrating is it to be constantly questioned and second-guessed by people who have never been in law enforcement or even picked up a weapon, let alone done a course on it?
Please follow him on Twitter and subscribe to his podcast and newly commissioned YouTube channel!

How To Become a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) Part 3 - Francine Bardole
What does it take to be an effective and thorough crime scene investigator (CSI)? There are LOTS of great CSIs out there, and many with an amazing amount of experience, but we can't think of anyone who can answer that question better than Francine Bardole.
Francine didn't start her career as a CSI. In fact far from it! She was originally a women's advocate and was studying to be an attorney, having already obtained two college degrees. But although becoming a lawyer and raising five children at the same time may be possible, it wasn't in the cards for Francine, so she ended up putting the lawyer route on hold.
In the meantime, she wanted to stay active in the field, so ended up taking a job in another area, and that eventually led to her becoming a crime scene investigator with West Jordan Police Department.
Francine also became one of the world's leading experts in M-Vac forensic DNA collection, helping solve cases for agencies all over the US using this cutting-edge technology. She also developed a unique way of getting DNA off of shell casings called the Bardole Method. She is truly amazing!
Listen to Part 3 of this interesting interview and please comment below on any thoughts you may have of it!
Also, check out Francine's new website and connect with her on social media as she continues to be an innovator and leading expert in the forensics field of DNA and collecting DNA from shell casings!

Cell Phone Hill, Panama - Migrants and Villagers In Bajo Chaquito Must Climb Hill to Call Loved Ones
Imagine hiking through some of the thickest, wettest, nastiest jungles for a minimum of 6 days to finally emerge from the jungle only to learn you must now climb a hill to call your loved ones or whoever will be sending you money for the next stage of the journey.
On the other hand, imagine seeing hundreds of people EVERY DAY emerging from the jungle around your home, almost all of them needing serious medical attention, starving, with horror stories of being robbed, raped, swept away by raging rivers after the rain, snake bites, incessant bites from insects, sleeping on the muddy, rain-soaked jungle floor, all the while stepping over bodies of those who couldn't make it.
What would cause these people to go through this? To embark on such an almost insane journey? The reasons are many, including the lie told by smugglers and traffickers that it's not as difficult a trek as some say, but the main reason is the story that once they reach the US all their problems will be gone forever, and now is the time.
The villagers and others told us that there have been people coming out of the Darien Gap for years, but they have never seen it this bad. At one point very recently, the little community of Embara Indians at Bajo Chaquito, who number just under 500, were "hosting" over 1,000 migrants. Imagine your town having twice as many "guests" in it than citizens and you'll start to comprehend what this community is going through.
They have no running water. No year-round roads. No electricity other than a few personal generators. The locals, who traditionally are farmers and harvest lumber, are now forced to dedicate all their resources, time, and energy to taking care of the endless stream of migrants flowing into their village.
I was blessed to be able to travel down to Bajo Chaquito with two US Congressmen and a team of dedicated professionals including Michael Yon, Chuck Holton, and Masako Gahana to see this with my own eyes. We traveled from Meteti by car and then boat for about 4 hrs just to reach the village, and passed hundreds of migrants in boats headed the other way, all being shuttled to processing camps and then bused to Costa Rica.
The bottom line is people in very high places have made decisions, then allowed false information to propagate throughout the world that is so compelling that people are literally willing to die for it. For what? Honestly, that's THE question we all need to ask ourselves and those making the decisions.

Human Suffering at a Level Most People Cannot Comprehend - My Trip to the Darien Gap
This video is uncut, so apologize for that, but I had to get this out. It’s honestly difficult to process what I’ve experienced over the last 4 days.
I’m in Panama, which is the center of the hourglass and the focal point for migration heading toward the United States. It’s also one of the most intense areas of tragedy and human suffering on earth, and it’s all preventable by just a few people.
Migrants who don’t have enough resources to bypass this trek, can’t get a visa, don’t have a passport, etc but still want to pursue the Nirvana they have been led to believe are being fed into South America, especially Columbia, and then sent through the Darien Gap.
You’ve likely never seen a more harsh and unfriendly section of the jungle anywhere in the world. Not only is it a thick jungle with snakes, insects, flash floods, jungle rot and everything else a typical jungle may present, but there are also smugglers, traffickers, murderers, rapists, and thieves in there that will steal every ounce of innocence the migrants may have left.
Bottom line? Hardened war veterans won’t go in there, and even if they were crazy enough to be like my friend Chuck Holton, smugglers would stop them.
What does this have to do with a videocast like All Things Crime? It’s a new twist for sure. But it’s all connected, and over time we will show you.
Of course, we will continue to highlight the investigation process, the human tragedy that crime creates, and the heroes in law enforcement that are dedicated to fighting it, but there’s a bigger picture to present and we will explore it.
This trip to Panama has given me a new perspective and purpose. Yes, my dedication to M-Vac Systems is unwavering, but I know my father Dr Bruce Bradley would be upset with me if I ignored what has unfolded here. But I absolutely believe a rising tide raises all ships so each will support the other.
Lots more to come soon so please subscribe and connect with me on all our platforms!

Balancing Public Interest and Investigation Integrity - Nelly Miles
The Exciting Field of Forensic Psychology w/ Dr. Aracely Lopez
Forensic psychology may be a relatively new field, but it's making a major impact. Stemming from the ever-evolving psychological understanding of what makes us tick as humans, forensic psychology covers both the pre and post-crime/conviction of a person and is a major factor in determining if an individual is a danger to either him/herself or the community.
Dr. Aracely Lopez specializes in the post-conviction areas, focusing on helping those that are in the justice system to cope with the crime they committed and how to overcome that in order to re-enter society.

Cloyd was with the Seattle PD for over 30 years, with 23 of those in homicide, investigating over 200 cases! To do that and still be sane is amazing, but to have also served as a sex crimes detective as well is even more impressive.
Part 2 of our discussion goes into depth about Cloyd's extensive career as a homicide detective as well as some of the cases that he has and is investigating.
Cloyd is also an author, cold case investigator, and instructor. You can find his books at:

Part 1 of our discussion goes into depth about Cloyd's transition into law enforcement, what inspired him to become a cop, and how his drive, determination, and childhood goals helped him become one of Seattle's best and longest-serving detectives.
Cloyd is also an author, cold case investigator, and instructor. You can find his books at:

Going On Buddah Is Calling Podcast to Discuss The M-Vac System
As the host of All Things Crime and President of M-Vac Systems, Jared occasionally gets the opportunity to go on other podcasts and shows to discuss the M-Vac system and how we came to be where we are.
And what a journey it's been! To think the M-Vac started in the food industry by collecting E Coli, Salmonella, Listeria, and other adulterants, or at least it was supposed to be used in that capacity, and then was pivoted into forensic DNA collection is wild at best.
Of all the miracles that happened, the fact that no major product changes were needed to use the M-Vac to collect bio stains, touch DNA, or any other forensic material, is truly astounding. But Dr Bruce Bradley created an amazing system that was years if not decades ahead of its time so the transition was almost seamless!
COVID-19 happened and the whole world was turned upside down, including our ability to reach customers in the ways we had been for years. So the video and podcast All Things Crime was created, mostly for content to send to customers and post on various social media sites.
Now we're here, and it's a great place to be! Hope you enjoy the interview. Apologize in advance for the areas of poor audio but that's one of the major issues with recording interviews from across the world.

How Murders and Cold Cases Get Solved - Sheryl McCollum
Sheryl "Mac" McCollum is a special person. Period. It takes minutes of being around her to know that. Why? Because she cares. She cares about the people she's with, she cares about what she's doing at the moment, and fortunately for the crime-solving world, she cares deeply about her profession and most importantly the victims of the crimes she investigates.
All Things Crime is honored to welcome Sheryl back for another discussion as we talk about her Emmy Award, her work as the Director of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, and the progress being made in the brutal murder of Melissa Wolfenbarger.

Using Effective Communication To Solve Problems w/ Ravi Rajani
Professional and effective communicators can immediately get your attention. How? By recognizing the situation and using a pattern interruption technique that will snap anyone back to reality. Oftentimes this will also diffuse a seemingly hostile or confrontational situation.
Ravi Rajani is such a communicator, and he teaches people how to be more effective in their interactions, presentations and communications for a living. And he's REALLY good at it! Ravi started in theater as a child, entered the corporate world in his 20s and is now fulfilling his true calling as a communication coach for individuals and corporations.
What does this have to do with true crime? Everything! How many horrible situations could potentially improve if the opposing parties could communicate better? I think we all know the answer to that. Is this the solution to all of our current problems? Of course not. But it's a great place to start!
We highly recommend you follow Ravi or contact him at these locations:
