Getting Lit
The sixth and final installment in this series of short informative videos pertaining to the health & wellness of you and your family,

How to Be Mentally Strong
Mental Strength is the capacity of an individual to deal effectively with stressors, pressures and challenges and perform to the best of their ability, irrespective of the circumstances in which they find themselves (Clough, 2002).
Building mental strength is fundamental to living your best life. Just as we go to the gym and lift weights in order to build our physical muscles, we must also develop our mental health through the use of mental tools and techniques.
In a word, toughness and grit equal consistency.
Mentally tough athletes are more consistent than others.
They don’t miss workouts.
They don’t miss assignments.
They always have their teammates back.
Mentally tough leaders are more consistent than their peers. They have a clear goal that they work towards each day. They don’t let short–term profits, negative feedback, or hectic schedules prevent them from continuing the march towards their vision. They make a habit of building up the people around them — not just once, but over and over and over again.
Mentally tough artists, writers, and employees deliver on a more consistent basis than most. They work on a schedule, not just when they feel motivated. They approach their work like a pro, not an amateur. They do the most important thing first and don’t shirk responsibilities.
The good news is that grit and perseverance can become your defining traits, regardless of the talent you were born with. You can become more consistent. You can develop superhuman levels of mental toughness.

Ru$$ian Roulette
A little jab will do ya!
Spend some time as I opine about the global game of #russianroulette and it's impact on some folks I know...
Currently, since Feb. 1, 2020, the CDC estimates there have been 942,431 excess deaths in the U.S.
The head of Indianapolis-based insurance company OneAmerica said the death rate was up a staggering 40% from pre-pandemic levels among working-age people. “We’re seeing the highest mortality rates right now that we’ve seen in the history of this business — not just at OneAmerica,” the company’s CEO Scott Davison said during an online news conference this week. “The data is consistent across all players in this business.”
Andreas Schofbeck, the CEO of one of Germany’s leading health insurance companies, was terminated last month after releasing data that showed health authorities were dramatically underreporting covid vaccine injuries.
The information has since been removed from the BKK/ProVita health insurance company’s website.

How Sweet It Is
As we've often opined, 'our first wealth is our health, invest wisely'
Many don't and fact of the matter is that most treat their body as if it were a garbage disposal and one does not have to look far to see the impact of this 4+ decade global epidemic of Obesity that plagues the world,
Enjoy this short informative video, our hope is that people make their health & wellness a priority and lead by example for future generations.
1. Sugar causes glucose levels to spike and plummet.
Unstable blood sugar can leave you experiencing mood swings, fatigue, and headaches. It also contributes to cravings, which begins the cycle of false hunger. By contrast, those who avoid sugar report having fewer cravings while feeling more emotionally balanced and energized.
2. Sugar increases the risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
While we all like to indulge once in a while, foods that quickly affect blood sugar contribute to a greater risk of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes.1 Emerging research also suggests connections between these high-glycemic diets and various forms of cancer.2,3,4 These effects are often a result of added sugars working in your body, so be sure to read those nutrition labels.
3. Your immune function can be affected by sugar.
As if being sick wasn’t bad enough, studies have shown that sugar can interfere with the way your body fights disease.5 Bacteria and yeast feed on sugar, so excess glucose in the body causes these organisms to build up and cause infections.
4. A high-sugar diet can lead to chromium deficiency.
Chromium, a trace mineral, helps regulate blood sugar in the body. While it can be found in meats, seafood, and plant foods, 90% of Americans still don’t get enough chromium because of refining starches.6 Other carbohydrates can also rob foods of their chromium supplies, so limiting your carbs is your best bet for increasing those mineral levels.
5. Sugar accelerates aging.
While you probably know that sugars can affect your body composition, they can also mess with your skin by contributing to wrinkles and sagging. After sugar hits your bloodstream, it attaches to proteins. The mix of these proteins with sugar causes the skin to lose elasticity and leads to premature aging.7
6. Sugar causes tooth decay.
With all the other life-threatening effects of sugar, we sometimes forget the most basic cosmetic damage it does. When it sits on your teeth, sugar causes decay more efficiently than any other food.8 It’s important to brush your teeth at least twice a day to stop sugars from fueling plaque and bacteria.
7. Sugar can cause gum disease, which can lead to heart disease.
Increasing evidence shows that chronic infections, like those that result from dental problems, play a role in the development of heart disease.9 Most researchers believe that the connection stems from the body’s inflammatory response to infection. Luckily, this works both ways. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will decrease your risk of common illnesses, which reduces the chance that they’ll become a more serious condition later on.
8. Sugar affects cognition in children.
Let’s not forget about our little ones! When New York City public schools reduced the amount of sugar in their lunches and breakfasts, their academic ranking increased 15.7% (previously, the greatest improvement ever seen had been 1.7%).11 The study also eliminated artificial colors, synthetic flavoring, and two preservatives, showing the importance of natural ingredients for children.
9. Sugar increases stress.
When we’re under stress, our bodies immediately kick into fight-or-flight mode, releasing large amounts of hormones. Surprisingly, the body has the same chemical response when blood sugar is low. After you eat a sweet snack, stress hormones begin to compensate for the crash by raising your blood sugar. The result? Unexplained anxiousness, irritability, and even shakiness.
10. Sugar takes the place of important nutrients.
According to USDA data, people who consume the most sugar have the lowest intakes of essential nutrients––especially vitamins A, C, B-12, and calcium. The trade-off is especially dangerous for children and teens, who simultaneously consume the most sugar and need the most nutrients.12
Now that you understand the negative effects of sugar on your body and mind, it’s time to be more careful when choosing foods. The first step is getting educated about how to find added sugars. When it comes to convenience and packaged foods, let the ingredients label be your guide—you’d be surprised how many low carb or “diet” foods contain added sugar.

Eat Meat
The fifth installment in this series of short informative videos pertaining to the health & wellness of you and your family,
Bad Science
What happened?
All throughout history we knew animal foods were the pillar of health yet we lost our way. We had some bad theories and did some bad science.
There are foods we've been eating for much of human history like cows, pigs and chickens. Then we have foods we've been eating for 0.1% of human history.
These are the highly processed foods.
In the past 70 years we've been blaming many of our health on red meat.
This is deception.
Processed foods, sugar and refined grains are the problem. Not meat.
These foods have the most damaging health effects. It's insane for us to blame our health problems on meat when we've been eating meat for all of human history.
Eating meat made us human.

Cholesterol Facts
The fourth installment in this series of short informative videos pertaining to the health & wellness of you and your family,
"your first wealth is your health, invest wisely"
The discovery half a century ago that high blood cholesterol levels were strongly associated with an increased risk for heart disease triggered numerous warnings to avoid foods that contain cholesterol, especially eggs and liver.
However, scientific studies show a weak relationship between the amount of cholesterol a person consumes and his or her blood cholesterol levels
Kratz, M., Dietary cholesterol, atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. Handb Exp Pharmacol, 2005(170): p. 195-213.
A lot of research has been conducted on eggs specifically. Eggs are a significant source of dietary cholesterol, but several studies have shown that eating them is not associated with an elevated risk of heart disease.
What’s more, eggs may even help improve your lipoprotein profiles, which could lower your risk.

In Science We Trust
It can be quite shocking when one realizes that the truth is often wildly unpopular and that there are dark forces that will employ every dirty trick in the book to maintain narrative control. True scientists need to drop the naiveté and recognize that they are actually on the front lines in a war for truth, and act accordingly. We're all counting on them.

Best Before Dates
Someone in Canada, right now as you read this, is throwing away a perfectly good food item because it has surpassed its best before date.
Throwing out food prior to its expiration has negative affects on the environment and humankind alike, due to the heavy agricultural use and excess greenhouse gas emissions.
According to the Recycling Council of Ontario, Canadians throw out 6 million tonnes of food each year. Of that annual wasted food, 2.2 million tonnes is still considered edible, according to the National Zero Waste Council.
This is largely due to the fact that consumers often mistake the ‘best before’ to be the same as the ‘expiration’ date.
To begin lets first break down the two terms. A ‘best before’ date is primarily a quality indicator stating that the food is best if consumed prior to the date listed, but that doesn’t mean that the food has gone bad.
It just simply means it is past its ‘prime’, so to speak. You’ll find best before dates largely on dairy products, canned food & boxed/bagged food (such as crackers). The ‘best before’ date is meant to guarantee certain properties, such as taste, aroma, freshness and even nutrients by that given date.
Given this, the best way to tell if the food has in fact spoiled is through smell, taste and sight. Mold is a key indicator!
‘Expiration’ dates on the other hand are considered to be that of its namesake, an expiry date. Thus, food with an expiration date should not be consumed after the specified date.
The product is no longer safe to consume after the date, usually due to bacteria growth. You’ll regularly find ‘expiration’ or ‘use by’ dates on meat, fish & poultry products. Often, to extend these dates, consumers will freeze and then thaw food, which does increase the longevity of the expiration date significantly.
Throwing out food prematurely is one of the leading reasons for excessive food waste around the globe. Not only is this not good for the environment due to excess water use & land use for agriculture but it is also simply just a waste of money/
The average household in Canada spends approximately $1700.00 on wasted food. That’s a lot of food (& money)!

Thoughts are Things
Managing one's thoughts is a long journey with many twists and turns — there are no fixed rules or step-by-step guides on how to do it, except that the first step must always be to observe.
Buddha describes in the Dhammapada, "Like a fish that is pulled out of the water and thrown on the dry ground thrashes about and quivers, the mind thrashes about from thought to thought. That is why one should try to escape from the realm of Māra." Mara is the illusion of reality.

Pandemic Amnesty my Ass
The Atlantic has come under fire for suggesting that all the terrible pandemic-era decisions over lockdowns, school closures, masking, and punishing an entire class of people who questioned the efficacy and wisdom of taking a rushed, experimental vaccine - for a virus with a 99% survival rate in most, should all be water under the bridge.
"We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID," writes Brown Professor Emily Oster - a huge lockdown proponent, who now pleads from mercy from the once-shunned.
"Let's acknowledge that we made complicated choices in the face of deep uncertainty, and then try to work together to build back and move forward," she continues.

It's Done!
Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss sent a text message saying ‘it’s done’ to the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken immediately after the Nord Stream attack,
“Liz Truss used her iPhone to send a message to Secretary Blinken saying ‘it’s done’ a minute after the pipeline blew up and before anybody else knew,”
There are indeed reports that Liz Truss’ phone was hacked, however that dates back to her time as UK foreign secretary.
The UK’s Mail on Sunday reported that private messages between Truss and other international foreign ministers, including some about Ukraine, fell into foreign hands.

Inhale the Good Vibes, Exhale the Bad Vibes.
Take 157 seconds to just breathe and relax.
When the breath is unsteady, all is unsteady; when the breath is still; all is still. Control the breath carefully. Inhalation gives strength and a controlled body; retention gives steadiness of mind and longevity; exhalation purifies body and spirit.
~Goraksasathakam
There is one way of breathing that is shameful and constricted. Then there’s another way; a breath of love that takes you all the way to infinity.
