I show a little more of the process of handling a knife.

Scroll through the accidental slow mo clip. I somehow lost the last clip where I plugged it in and had to run out of the shop screaming fire. I’m kidding, but it was such a Smokey ending that I can’t believe I either didn’t hit record, or deleted that clip by mistake.

Put a new switch on my DeWalt contractors table saw. Magnetized a screw driver. Sanded a blade. Took a nap.

Weapons Shweapons! I do NOT make weapons! There are certain types of knives that I will never make BECAUSE their only use is as a weapon. I make sharp pointy art! Nothing less! Honestly, all funny aside. I don’t now and never will make knives whose intended purpose isn’t clear, simply from observing its shape. The knives I make are for collecting, camping, bushcrafting, skinning blazing trails,and showing friends what an amazing piece of American craftsmanship you are holding in your hands. Push daggers, daggers, knives that are clearly meant for harming people, will not be made by my hands.

I thought I could save the switch on my saw. I managed to get it to work while holding the switch in. I don’t understand how it works, well enough to figure out what is wrong with it. My suspicion is that the coil is burned out and will not magnetize and hold the contact panel. The rest of the day went really well. I finished the knife it’s beautiful and it’s for sale.

Got the subscriber voted wood on the knife today. I’ve had to resort to some outside the box remedies for the problems I’ve encountered with this knife, but I am determined to make a beauty out of it. On a lighter note, I got to add another chapter to the book I’m writing called 1001 things you should never do with electricity.

I’ll get that handle on today and shape it tomorrow thanks for voting. Number 3 won by a landslide.

Finished the BC especial and got the full grind bc special heat treated and in the tempering oven.

Our plans for today were rained out and likely will be tomorrow too. I finished the knife for a customer and sanded the knife with the full grind up to 800. Tomorrow, I’ll finish the sheath, polish the flat grind knife and heat treating it.

I will be out of cell service today also. Helping a friend.

Got the knife sanded up to 400, heat treated and in the tempering oven. Then I polished my bike a bit and Saturday I’ll attend a PGR funeral in Athens texas.

I’m just in total shock at how quickly this country has descended in absolute debauchery and chaos. Customer service is non existent now.

Well,,, apparently there’s a learning curve for my new bevel grinding jig. I truly messed up what started as the best bevel I have ground yet, then I flipped it over and proceeded to grind it all away.
