I’m very happy with how this turned out. I hope I can make myself as happy with the sheath I’ll make tomorrow.

Made some fried rice and got some handles on my first sharp finger.

Got nothing done today. Gloomy, rainy day so I sat around and did nothing.

Today, I sanded the sharp finger up to 600, buffed, heat treated, and tempered it. Tomorrow, I’ll clean it back up, rebuff, and put the handles on.

This is the only knife that is NOT my own design. I’ve been a bit hesitant to make one because of that. A friend wanted one so I agreed to make one, and I’m glad I did. I think this is going to be a great knife and I plan on offering it as a knife I make regularly.

New work shoes.

At first, it seemed tasteless,but harmless. After eating some more, I realized that it really was terrible, and I couldn’t even finish what I had on my plate. You live and learn and I would NOT buy this again.

3 dogs and a fat guy.

Made a sheath for the restored 80 year old German knife. I’ll be shipping it to its new owner when the sheath is dry.

I found this 80 year old German knife at a yard sale. I bought it for 5 bucks. It was in very rough shape but I knew I could bring it back to life. The sheath was beyond help and I’ll be making a new one for it. The knife is an #othello, made in #solingengermany, by the #Antonwinneger company.

Rebuild Coming soon. Anton wingen started the Othello knife company in 1888, in solingen Germany. It’s is still in operation today and ran by Anton’s granddaughter. Today, they are focused on kitchen related cutlery and accoutrements.
