Trance Cookie Cutter - 1AM Done
Yeah So I set out to play with ATM 9PM till I come but I couldn't really remember the track and think I confused it mentally with Don't stop except the vocal sample. Anyway I couldn't remember the track at all or how the file actually was suppose to be laid out so just sort of went with it. I sort of felt done with it just before 1am hence the title 1amDone. It ended up being longer than it felt, none the less sort of chill techno/psuedo trance bit. I was going to call it cookie in honor of cookie cutter trance tracks. Perhaps will sequence it or something. This is another long one that is a bit like 1 really long loop for half an hour.

datafill
This is an absolutely awful jam. I have called it datafill as that is what this brainfart will likely be.
one loop repeating brooklynbounce reallyprogressivemovement forward
Yeah I felt like remixing progressive attack for fun but only found the theme from progressive attack midi so spent like an hour messing around with it. Had some feedback on one of the channels. Obviously this jam is nothing like the original and is not so much an attempt at remixing but rather just playing with the sound, as I didn't find the file I was looking for. Just some random tweaking no attempt to emulate the original sounds or resample to create the same idea. Just brainfarting out some sound. This is unedited and no attempt to arrange or sequence full on justt running through the sound until I got board wiith it. YES THIS IS CLOSE TO AN HOUR OF A LOOP REPEATING!!!
Just experimenting with some sounds here loopbackon the render.

Wow I think this one is just a quick cold plunge in the lake
BRINGING YOU QUALITY CONTENT
Yeah still documenting my dips in the water. Amazingly it is the middle of december and the lake has yet to freeze over to seal my fate in going in. I think that this week it could freeze up but still the giant ice puddle experience. Taking it day to day to see how I feel about my hands goingin now. Today I cut it a little short as I wasn't sure how the strong wind would effect me. Overall pretty bearable today I could probably have stayed in for longer.

Cold water Plunge Discovery - Wim Hoff's Pole twist does it work? Yes
So I thought I would experiment with something I saw Wim Hoff do when he was doing his accelerated adaptation stuff in one of the videos he did with some youtubers. It was them doing 100 rotations of a 10kg bar. I had a tree branch so thought I would try this to see if it increased circulation and resistance time in the hands. I think it did after doing 100 rotations (although the branch was long so I hit the ground a few times) my hands actually did feel warmer even in wet gloves. My hands did get cold in the water first again but I noticed they recovered a little faster. Based on this initial test I think that this method does increase bloodflow in the hands for a period after performing the exercise. I am not sure how much for how long but I think it serves as a warm up exercise for the hands.

Ice Water Plunges continue
So the challenge is not really the water anymore, the challenge is finding solutions to deal with the ice. I was thinking yes I can use a stick to break the ice going in today if there was ice.. but there was more ice than expected AND the stick broke as I attempted to break the ice with it.... unexpected as the open water seemed to have massive waves. Now the solution may be going somewhere else that doesn't have so much formed ice. I sort of like the swimming. The breaking point today was my hands. I am wonderin gif Wim Hoffs pole spinning helps get circulation going in the hands. This is the challenge. I wonder how much longer I can keep going in not because the water will get to cold for me, but that the ice will make it difficult to actually get into the water. You see these ice water swimmings like Wim and they all seem to not be able to beat ice formations, it beats them, they nearly die when they get stuck under the ice. The ice is so hard it may be difficult to break even with the full force of the body. It is a moving mass that seems not so daunting.. but when you realize it is immensely heavy and quite strong, and sharp. So innocent looking but a barrier. I can immerse myself under the water but I wonder how long I can do it. I am not sure if I will have any room tomorrow to get in.. now I need to walk over layers of ice to get in and move chunks of ice to move to an opening.. but almost an invisible field of ice is just beyond the entry.
I would like to keep getting the benefits of the cold exposure.. but I must be mindful of any potential risks from the activity. Currently ice is barrier, you would think it is the cold water, but no it is the ice.
Got to add, I am currently intermittant fasting more or less, I will aim to break by fast and prepare my meal after coming back from the cold water dip. I am looking to fine tuning the diet to get aminos and nitrates, I think that there is likely an ideal cold weather diet, that may modify what type of fasting is undertaken. Plants don't normally grow in ice climates so I can't fully understand how this could be a natural part of a cold diet.

NITRATES NITRIC OXIDE AND BALTIC COLD ICE WATER PLUNGE
So my feet did get cut kicking the ice so the ice may present an ongoing risk I will need to sort out with some more research in how people manage to not cut themself on sharp ice and still somehow swim. Today there was unexpectly ice formed in the water not only at the entry area but also in the water.... this was unexpected and while I was raring to go after my warmup jog and exercise I wasn't sure how to swim and if it was safe to swim and break the ice as I went with my arms or if my feet would be injured, so exited a little early and didnt get an actual swim. Will have to come up with a plan moving forward as the lake starts to freeze. I actually woke up with the thought of nitric oxide in my head this morning so it is what I researcheda d little and should research a little more on.. I think nitrates are really important if you want to do the cold water stuff because I think there is an assoication between nitric oxide production and use and cold water adaptation but this is a hunch at this point.
SOME RANDOM EXTRACTS AND THOUGHTS . The NO activity was observed in the basal condition and increased with noradrenaline stimulation, showing a correlation with oxygen consumption in the warm (25 degrees C)-acclimated control rats. Cold acclimation (5 degrees C, 5 weeks) or immobilization stress adaptation (3 h daily, 25 degrees C, 5 weeks) caused enhanced NO activity in the basal condition in comparison with the control. We suggest that NO is involved in enhancement of the thermogenic functions of BAT in rats. The results indicate that thyroid hormones are required for increased thermogenic capacity to occur as an adaptation to long-term cold
brown fat cells isolated from cold-acclimated hamsters, under identical conditions, showed almost complete absence of adenosine control. Thus acclimation to cold induced a desensitization to adenosine by physiological means. To evaluate the molecular mechanism underlying desensitization to adenosine,
adenosine desensitization process may be located at the Gi protein-adenylate cyclase interaction.
Stimulating brown adipose tissue (BAT) energy expenditure could be a therapy for obesity and related metabolic diseases. Achieving this requires a systems-level understanding of the biochemical underpinnings of thermogenesis. To identify novel metabolic features of active BAT
enzymes which synthesize lipids from cytosolic acetyl-coA are among the most robustly increased proteins after cold acclimation, consistent with recent studies highlighting the importance of anabolic de novo lipogenesis in BAT. In addition, many mitochondrial proteins are hyperacetylated by cold acclimation, including several sites on UCP1, which may have functional relevance
, BAT is activated by the sympathetic nervous system in response to cold exposure or certain high fat diets
norepinephrine triggers CIT in brown adipocytes by stimulating β3-adrenergic receptor signaling and cAMP synthesis, which activates protein kinase A (PKA). PKA phosphorylates CREB, which binds to the cAMP response element and induces transcription of many target genes including the uncoupling protein UCP1. UCP1 localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane and dissipates the proton motive force as heat, thus uncoupling it from ATP synthesis. This is thought to be the primary mechanism of heat-generation in BAT, although alternate heat-generating pathways have been reported
60 proteins altered (∼3%, 26 increasing, 34 decreasing) in response to mild cold and 232 proteins altered (∼11%, 119 increasing, 113 decreasing) in response to severe cold
THIS HAS ME WONDER THOUGH, HOW DOES THIS FUNCTION UNDER KETOSIS??? OR FASTING STATES? WILL IT LEAD TO CELLULAR CATOBOLISM OR IS THERE A KETONE PATHWAY TO COLD ADAPTATION?
The ATP synthase complex also has a mild cold-dependent increase, which could reflect a compensatory mechanism to generate sufficient ATP in the face of uncoupled respiration
orrelation with acetylcarnitine and mitochondrial protein acetylation levels suggest a role for acetylated amino acids in buffering mitochondrial acetyl-CoA.
WILL CONSUMING PROTIEN POWDER OR AMINO ACIDS FUEL THIS ACETALYZIATION UPTAKE MORE AND RESULT IN LESS UPTAKE FROM THE BODY STORES?

Cold water plunge continues, finally hitting Baltic temps under 6 Celsius about 40 Fahrenheit.
Only 5 minutes today but water if finally baltic temps under 6c about 40 Fahrenheit now. No warmup, so I have something to improve on today. My foot was impacted jogging downhill earlier in the week so I havn't gone jogging as I give it and my ankles and calf muscle time to heal so I don't cause progressive injury. None the less my hands went rigid fairly quickly in the water today. I think the water temp drops extensively in the shallow shore areas after snowfall so water temps may be colder. I am oddly not experiencing that capillary tingling that I did a few times early on in doing these plunges. My hands this time however were quite rigid, and that was the reason I got out as usually I use my hands or feet as the litmus when I start loosing feeling in them or they stop working, IE blood circulation is reduced. Even after rewarming for a little while after my finger tips were still a little numb. IMO warming up with exercise drastically promotes the length and comfort level as it increases circulation in general allowing function. I also noticed that the slip hazard is imo the real risk at this point as cold water dropping into snow forms ice almost instantly in freezing temperatures making getting dressed a little more cautioned. Overall still feeling good, temperatures still arn't so low I feel at risk, just a little sense of waling into a cold puddle initially then waiting for the hands or feet to go numb, then getting dressed and getting the feeling back in the hands and feet. On return to home I do a rewarming shower. Then keep myself warmly dressed or in sleeping bag until the chill or afterdrop is defeated. I would like to do this then do exercise after, so warmup dip and then exercise to rewarm as output levels are easier after the body is core cooled imo likely some adrenal response also as there is a lot more clarity after going into the water, it wakes you up good.

sylver - turn the tide reinstrumented dream draft THIS IS NOT GOOD LISTEN TO ORIGINAL
Yeah I was trying to find NEW LIMIT SMILE in midi after seeing a remix of it using fl studio but no luck in finding the midi or flp but I found a few sylver midis. Anyway threw this together and tried to get something I could listen to. Anyway quite a brain fart here, but its sort of listenable. Of course the liquid quality of the original from 20+ years ago is better than this but its still a nice little dity. Anyway go out and listen to the original or actual remixes if you like the melody. Again little ditty here.

Imaginatively complex psuedoarchaelogical investigation and two cold water 💦 plunges
#petun #precontact
Not sure more curiosities and cold water
This is just a few questions I am looking more into as I explore what I think may be a Petun burial and ceremonial site and possibly a larger settlement of the Petun or part of the mysterious huron bog tribe. Not enough is known, but some of the questions that were raised
was timestone pounded down to nixtamalize the corn grown by the petun and hurons? Where did they source their limestone?
and other questions
I was trying to see how the possible graves link to the spring, and noticed a very large stone between the two areas.
I still want to figure out the geology to determine how the broken rock formation formed? was it a river at one time?

Bombs Away ft KARRA Im awake BRAINFART NEWSTUFF FLP MIX
Yes so FL STUDIO 21 was released on the 6th, so I thought heck why not download and see what they have done to confuse me. I often over the last 20 years, have remixed the new stuff flps that come out in each release from time to time so I threw this one together. So as a brain fart where the effort is into figuring out what samples are what.. in this version it is insane due to the new filter tracing and stuff as inline channels in the pattern menu... None the less something was sort of listenable see if it renders. As little effort as possible without tweaking too heavily to see if the dynamic is listenable.
BTW I wasn't really into this sample, the utter cheesy ness of the trance stuff in the early fruityloops versions was pretty good.. the vocal in this is good but I can't understand for the life of me what is going on with the track I guess this is what the drugged up teenies listen to now. They must be super high.

Yesterday's news and rants about tommorow part 2
This is probably a video about rocks and a possible ancient grave and paleoindian religious site. Not sure yet.
A whole lot of nothing, little walk little jog, little moving rocks, little cold water plunge
Yeah not much of a talk here, just me fusing a bit over rocks.
ALSO if for some reason it turns out that this area that has been my paleogym is a Huron Wendat cemetary, I have to say in advance, that I do not distrub the site or the graves out of disrespect for the dead but rather discovery and uncovering of knowledge, if not simply of natural geological process that if for some remote reason it is not galacial till but rather a burial site, that I am learning about Huron Wendat burial practices. While I do find some of the rocks to be peculiar and the handful of hand grip feeling smaller stones in the till area nd rather strange assemblages of stones.. I still am not convinced it is a grave but am very suspicious of how the assemblage of stones at a few points occured, as well as the odd geological differences of a host of stones that don't to me make sense of how these varied stones all ended up together in this same tell or raised area of stone that juts up around the surrounding land. It is easy to see landforms in stones but this is a bit like looking at a shadow and seeing some object in it, as what is seen may not be what is actually there as the brain is able to filter objects to create meaning as opposed to meaning being dsicovered from objects although it can work this way too. None the less it is a curious site to me, but I still am not fully convinced it is not a natural formation. BUT I need to say again I ABSOLUTELY MEAN NO DISREPSECT, in fact to me this is discovery of something that is lost as opposed to desecration of the past or respect to the dead. Currently the dead is forgotten, without disvoer the past cannot be remembered. If it turns out to be a gravesite, sorry. So sorry. OK just realized this area is Odawa not Huron Wendat historically, still sorry if it turns out to be a grave. I thought I would also share a bit of the known history of the Odawa just as this is where I was led. According to Anishinaabeg tradition, and from recordings in Wiigwaasabak (birch bark scrolls), the Odawa people came from the eastern areas of North America, or Turtle Island, and from a region called Dawnland along the East Coast (where there are numerous Algonquian-language peoples). Directed by the miigis (luminescent) beings, the Anishinaabe peoples moved inland along the Saint Lawrence River. At the "Third Stopping Place" near what is now Detroit, Michigan, the southern group of Anishinaabeg divided into three groups, the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi.[10]
There is archaeological evidence that the Saugeen complex people, a Hopewell-influenced group who were located on the Bruce Peninsula during the Middle Woodland period, may have evolved into the Odawa people. The Hopewell tradition was a widely extended trading network operating from about 200BCE to 500 CE. Some of these peoples constructed earthwork mounds for burials, a practice that ended about 250 CE.[11] The Saugeen mounds have not been excavated.
The Odawa, together with the Ojibwe and Potawatomi, were part of a long-term tribal alliance called the Council of Three Fires,[12] which fought the Iroquois Confederacy and the Dakota people. In 1615 French explorer Samuel de Champlain met 300 men of a nation which, he said, "we call les cheueux releuez" (modern French: cheveux relevés (hair lifted, raised, rolled up)) near the French River mouth. Of these, he said: "Their arms consisted only of a bow and arrows, a buckler of boiled leather and the club. They wore no breech clouts, their bodies were tattooed in many fashions and designs, their faces painted and their noses pierced."[7] In 1616, Champlain left the Huron villages and visited the "Cheueux releuez," who lived westward from the lands of the Huron Confederacy.[10]
The Jesuit Relations of 1667 report three tribes living in the same town: the Odawa, the Kiskakon Odawa, and the Sinago Odawa. All three tribes spoke the same language.
Yes good learning about, probably going to learn more about geology and how all these various stone types came about in this area..... AND learn about the Saugeen peoples even if these arn't some ancient burials of Saugeen or Odawa or some other group.. probably not burials at all, just an interesting geological area.
While all the crystalized stomes may are just representaive of hydroforming. I am still left wondering how so many smooth stones came about. Also how what appear like chiselmarks or dressing on the stones could form naturally. More study is needed to better understand how natural geological process can create such smooth stones. Especially that weird irregular shaped one with the linear cements of crystalized material.. that seems to be a truly interesting stone to learn the geology off.. and I almost saw something similar at the dock in town so much take a closer look to see if maybe that stone is similar banding.. not sure how that type of banding forms naturally it is so mortar looking in terms of uniform thickness.

Not accurate just talk and pictures of rocks etc.. Classic what happens if people don't show up
Just touching on the issue of being off grid vs. being dependent on civilization day to day. Looked at a bunch of rocks. NOT accurate geology, just musing over it. Things like limestone, dolomite, dolostone, pyrite, quartz etc.. are unexplored in detail just a curiousity on the rocks in this area as, there seem to be tills or an inentional asssemblage??? curiouus to understaand the geology of this area. Lots of geology to learn for me. Not sure if any of the plunge got into this one. Anyway out for more of the same.

BS Rant about western diesel / energy, little bit of activity, and cold water plunge
#coldwatertherapy #coldwaterswimming Went out for my daily yard time, aiming to hit my daily minimum getting a little walk on the trail, moving some rocks a little jogging and cold water plunge. Time is going fast.. today was nice, like around 6 celcius or so water was like 7.5 degrees. This video is more or less about nothing new or interesting but IMO I still feel like it offers more value than watching asmr. Anyway more data here maybe you can get some value from it. Today I saw a bald eagle also, that was probably the highlight.

Phone died while out. A rant about emergencies act inquiry, the daily minimum.
Yesterday was quite the nothing day. Water was good but actually shivered just before I got into the shower.
Things continue without much note. Hit my daily minimums today, got out for a bit of a hike, moved some stones around, got into the lake.
No idea how I got up to 35 minutes on this must watch to find out.
Again sort of a vlog about nothing phone died while out.

Ecoflow delta 2 I mean Cold water 💦 🌊 plunge continued
I hooked myself up to the ecoflow and I was able to go for 10 minutes in this cold water without needing more gas for heating.
This is just another me plodding around in cold water video as I continue to document my experiences with cold water plunges.
I ate a lot of salami the last couple days, must exercise.. must exercise.. went out at 9am this morning to get it out of the way.

Really lazy cold water dip
It was floating around freezing today. Water felt alright. These dips feel more like an exercise of judgement of foot health.
Snow and ice and water plunge 💦
#snowmageddon #icewaterchallenge #coldwaterchallenge #coldwatertherapy
A whole lot of snow, the challenge of going in the water today wasn't mental aversion to cold water, it was the physical challenge of wadding through knee high snow and eventual ice to get into the water....
Very short plunge today due to my concerns about getting out of the water and going back through the knee high snow with wet feet in contact with snow.
None the less I made it back and I think the short duration in the water made it sort of a non event. The real challenge is getiting warm footwear on as my ski boots have very tight laces that freeze and are a hard synthetic leather like material that is quite firm so when feet freeze and swell up it makes it challenge to get them on and off. The water shoes I brought for when I got out of the water wouldn't stay on my feet wading through the snow so they also got filled with compacted snow.. none the less once I got to a road I was able to spend some time getting my ski boots on. Still in subzero temps gloves would make sense if you are carrying skis as the binding metal has that wet hand freezing to metal effect and skis themselves have snow so you need to carry something with snow. So I need to find a better footwear solution and a better hand solution but otherwise more of the same in the water.. AND there were tons of geese today

Yay, winter is here ❄️ skiing and cold water 🌊 plunges
Ok it is snowing, over a foot of snow and my wish to get out and get some skiing done came true!!! Loving this new activity as an alternate to jogging. Today was also the first day I had to walk through ice to get into the same as the rim of the surface of the lake has turned into thin ice, likely due to all the snowfall. I took things a little safe today as the capillary response was noticable again so I think the lake is a little cooler than at the reading site, just not sure how much.. I am thinking the shallower water walking in is a little colder. Still totally bearable but much taking it safe in not staying in until I get use to this ice water experience going in and particularly out as my feet are fully going into snow until I get my boots on. In fact I think I may bring water slippers tomorrow so that my feet arn't kept in contact with with the snow. Still overall feeling good and comfortable. Had a chat after getting out today with someone smoking a joint. Probably thought he was tripping a bit since people going into and out of the water is probably a double take for him. AND there are geese, many geese in the water. I definately felt my hands struggling to stay warm in the water. Again the main barrier is knowing that need to get out and get dressed and get shoes on, particularly the shoes. Also as the temperature drops I think I will need to time for 4celcius or 40f water temps to be safe rather than the lake temperature reading. Almost worth bringing a thermometer but the water temp is so various from the shore only really helpful if I bring the thermometer in with me. Still lake water is generally about 4c if it freezes over. No cold water breathing today as it is just insuring that you get control of that first and second breaths and control your breathing. IMO the main issue right now is insuring that exit from the water remains safe.
