Halloween prep
Easy prep for people who use pumpkin as decoration as well as preventing food waste after October 31st
Just another Rant, what is the end game
#Iwar #propaganda #messaging #bigpicture #russia #ukraine #wwIII may have already upload this. Hopefully people are seeing this beyond a day to day or single events happened. While the shock and awe of war may provoke emotions and response, its about the big picture don't get too lost in the little moments.
AND NO I do not think this war should be trivialized, I am speaking outside the human element here, and talking about a concept of seeing the big pictures rather than focusing only on the human element.

Rant on what is really going on, What is the endgame not what is your move
Just a commentary on the wests propaganda engine and how media perspectives make it more difficult to understand what is really happening and how it will really affect people. The big picture and the end game, not thinking about the outrage or emotional response to individual acts. This is a pretty massive rant on some pretty general concepts people should be aware of. I am not saying things WILL go nuclear I am just saying that media tends to focus on individual actions and provides a perspective that is beneficial to their own political interests rather than presenting the big picture and what is really ongoing.

War Rant Imagining things, coincidence or global war of threats and suppression
This could all be paranoia and coincidence when receiving online hostility the idea it is bleeding over into offline RL seems more possible in mind. Even if not possible we ought to question the threat off a new red scare leading to suppression and persecution of people exercising the political and civil rights such as freedom of thought belief and conscience in a free society. I had a few more thoughts in other videos that follow
This is merely dialog based on conjecture. Paranoid idetions but clearly saying it is a potential not a verified occurence. The reason for this is hostile statements and claims of being a Russian propagandist online by other parties. In a world where Russians are being sanctioned and more serious persecution and the past political coldwar red scare environment only entertaining the thought that it was an intentional act not coincidence

Winter is coming.. its just beyond view

Coincidence event Yeah so ran into a view of this rainbow as I was listening to Davidi Eternal Light
Yeah so ran into a view of this rainbow as I was listening to Davidi Eternal Light One of my exercise tracks I listen to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtRjdUrzw18 when jogging.
Just another random trail jogging video
Yeah weather is a little soggy today, honestly didnt jog as much as I would have liked to today. None the less it feels great to get the fresh air. So if you are on the fence for going out and jogging highly recommend getting some body movement. It may feel dreary and miserable but its actually very refreshing and IMO relaxing not something to avoid.
We are so disconnected from what his happening half a world away
I hope people understand exactly what it is that they are supporting. People I feel are getting caught up in the ideal or image of what it means as a message rather than what it means as a flesh and blood reality. I feel like everyone who trumpets the war should have to spend time on the front to realize what it is they are advocating for and funding.
If for any reason you decide to go up or down rockey areas with cover, especially mostly mosses
Just be aware that many many materials along this escarpment are very very loosely rooted, and even the cliff faces are fractured, with some rocks being incredibly loose and able to pop out ay anytime. While in general it is not at risk of collapse, there are many smaller materials or holds that will not support weight. Just a common sense post for anyone that does like free climbing like me that there are hazards people should always have in mind before climbing down even a 20ft drop or more. Serious injury can result if you are using any holds such as outcropped rock that is cracked or trees you think are fairly strong it is very hard to gauge how well rooted smaller trees are so if you use them for a hold or support be extra extra cautious.

Try trail running cross country etc... go off the tarmac
#Ijogging #running #trail #crosscountry #nature #exercise #activity #hiking have so much more energy when jogging in wooded areas. The variety of ground, makes for a more interesting jog than on sidewalk or even in parkland or on the field with grass. IMO it is a much more enjoyable experience. Check to see if you have any wooded areas open to the public in your area that you can jog in.

Mushroom ID??? Another Clitocybe?
So this is a good example of mushrooms that can be hard to ID, this mushroom more or less has all the same characteristics of the (What I think was a cluster clitocybe) but this mushroom is growing individually although there are a few of them likely fruiting off the same mycellial growth bed. This is something you would likely need to spore out of microscopically analyze to positively identify. While it may appear there is no ring or no veil I do not have a strong confidence in this mushroom, it has a good chance of having some level of toxic muscarine, but this is a perfect learning point to learn more about this family of clitocybe like mushrooms that frankly is probably not a basic subject matter. While I do have the ability to do endoscopic analysis this is something that would take likely atleast an overnight to get more info on like spore prints and microscopic analysis. Frankly this will likely be a very hard mushroom to ID but welcome to sugestions on a visual ID.

Please if you leave a memorial to someone do not do it at a potential fatal climbing point
I have no idea why this was on the trail but it was enough for me to take a look and potentially get into a dangerous situation myself. Please if you leave a memorial to someone do not do it in a way that will make people wonder if someone has fallen.

Must ID this mushroom???????? Little stumped Clitocybe ??
I thought this might be something close to an oyster mushroom at first, but it appears not. It is white. It smells a bit like a field agaraic / field mushroom.
White cap and stipe / stem that is connected more or less the stipe is very dry and crumbly, with it looking like insects may have eaten at parts of the lower stipe / stem. There were a bunch of these in a cluster of various sizes. The gills were non staining and white. Has a good aroma. I have not been able to 100% ID. The giills ever so slightly extend to the stipe but do not continue down the stipe / stem. It has a standard mushroom cap appearance. Can't connect it to a known poisonous mushroom, but also have not had a solid ID on an edible mushroom. Anyone have any guesses on this one. It was growing in a cluster on the ground with white mycelium growing in a deciduous growth area. I will likely do some more research. I was thinking it may be sweating mushroom but not convinced. I had a very small amount and almost felt like there was a psychoactive effect with my audiotyr memory recall being heightened as shorlty after haveing a tini cap it was as if I was able to replay my auditory sense in exact mirroring. Not something uncommon but the short term memory seemed pristine. Not sure could have been from my jogging. Guesses welcome on this. If I rule out any known poisonous types after going through my field guides may give them a fry taste is not offputting or sweet sort of standard mushroom taste. I have eaten tons of mushrooms over the years so DO NOT EAT THIS unless you positively ID, I am not saying this is an edible mushroom at this point. THIS ALMOST CERTAINLY IS NOT OYSTER MUSHROOM due to its gills not extending down the stipe/stem. Correct me if I am wrong.

Return of the porcupine this time it is visible see how long it takes to spot it
He ambushed me this time. I got some distance and decided to get evidence. I think him climbing apple trees was a message after I tossed him an apple earlier in the week.

Must ID this bracket Fungi?? Is it Turkey Tail, Trametes versicolor ? hmm Stereum hirsutum???
Description and ecology
The top surface of the cap shows typical concentric zones of different colors, and the margin is always the lightest.[1] Underneath a layer of tomentum is a black layer, topping the whitish flesh.[2] The flesh itself is 1–3 mm thick and has a leathery texture. Older specimens, such as the one pictured, can have zones with green algae growing on them, thus appearing green. It commonly grows in tiled layers on in groups or rows on logs and stumps of deciduous trees, and is common in North America.[1] The mushroom is stalkless and the cap is rust-brown or darker brown, sometimes with black zones. The cap is flat, up to 8 × 5 x 0.5–1 cm in area. It is often triangular or round, with zones of fine hairs. The pore surface is whitish to light brown, with pores round and with age twisted and labyrinthine. 3–8 pores per millimeter.
T. versicolor is a white-rot fungi which degrades lignin from lignocellulosic materials, such as wood.[3] It may be eaten by caterpillars of the fungus moth Nemaxera betulinella, maggots of the Platypezid fly Polyporivora picta,[4] and the fungus gnat Mycetophila luctuosa.[5] It is considered inedible to humans.[6][7]
Similar species
Similar species include Trametes hirsuta,[7] T. ochracea,[2] T. suaveolens, Bjerkandera adusta,[7] Cerrena unicolor,[2] Lenzites betulina, and Stereum hirsutum.[7] Other species of Stereum are similar, typically with a smooth undersurface, as well as some species of Trichaptum.[2]
Chemistry
Trametes versicolor contains polysaccharides under basic research, including the protein-bound PSP and β-1,3 and β-1,4 glucans. The lipid fraction contains the lanostane-type tetracyclic triterpenoid sterol ergosta-7,22,dien-3β-ol as well as fungisterol and β-sitosterol.[8][9] When extracting compounds from Trametes versicolor, menthol extractions have the highest levels of polyphenols, and water extractions have the most flavonoids.[10]
Uses and research
Polysaccharide-K extract
Further information: Polysaccharide-K
Polysaccharide-K (PSK or krestin), extracted from T. versicolor, is considered safe for use as an adjuvant therapy for cancer treatment in Japan where it is known as kawaratake (roof tile mushroom) and approved for clinical use.[11][12] As a glycoprotein mixture, PSK has been studied in clinical research in people with various cancers and immune deficiencies, but its efficacy remains inconclusive, as of 2021.[11][13][14][15]
In some countries, PSK is sold as a dietary supplement.[12][15] Use of PSK may cause adverse effects, such as diarrhea, darkened feces, or darkened finger nails.[13]
FDA warnings
In 2020, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued warning letters to two manufacturers for advertising misbranded T. versicolor PSK supplements as anti-cancer or immune therapy drugs, stating such products "are not generally recognized as safe and effective for the above referenced uses and, therefore, these products are 'new drugs' under section 201(p) of the FD&C Act, 21 U.S.C. 321(p). New drugs may not be legally introduced or delivered for introduction into interstate commerce without prior approval from the FDA."[16][17]
Trametes versicolor may be used in traditional Chinese medicine or other herbalism practices.
