"I got a second apostle that's basically saying the same thing. Not that there's judgment, but that there's a flaming fire of vengeance that are going to come upon those who don't know God and those that don't obey. So it's not a matter of knowing the Gospel, it's a matter of obeying the Gospel. So that got me thinking. There's a lot more to just this Christian walk than just simply knowing that a man who said he was the Son of God died and was buried and rose again on the third day. It's a lot more than that. There's some sort of obedience that needs to take place. There's something that I need to do with that message in order to obey with it, in order to comply with it, so that the vengeance that is talked about, or the judgment that has to come, doesn't come upon me. "All of those things that we have been raised in, we have to, at some point in time, review it and see is this something that God is pleased with? Is this something that God looks down to? Because when I think about it, I say well, if Jesus was alive during the times where they were celebrating these festivals, would He have partaken in them? "What man is he that desireth life? What man is he that loveth many good days that they would see good, what man is that? It's that man, that man that has been blessed for trusting in Him, that man that has been blessed because they fear Him, that man that has been blessed because they seek the Lord and they don't want any other thing but him. They're the ones that will be taught the fear of the Lord, and some of those attributes of being taught the fear of the Lord is that they keep their tongue from evil. Their lips don't speak guile. They depart from evil. They do good, they seek peace, they pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and his ears are open unto their cry. I want to get a good picture of this word hunger, and I want to use the scriptures to show that those that hunger after him are those that are trusting him. Christians are pilgrims and sojourners passing through a world that is at war with itself and that is at war with all those that are just passing through. There is a moral, spiritual wickedness and sickness in our society found in the hearts of men. The world is actively working toward the dissolution of families as we once knew them, redefining them, and destroying common fellowship with one another with neighbors. Why? Because families are the foundational building block of all human societies. As families go, so does the nation. On a spiritual level, it works the same. As individuals and families grow up and mature in the Lord, so does the body of Christ. The enemy knows that the stronger God’s children are in families, the stronger they will be in Him. Jesus is using all these fights/battles/wars to find out who will stand with Him. It’s part of His remnant refining process. There are battles in differing levels and corners of society that need to be fought, but our nation needs a fresh wind of grace – the Spirit of the Lord (the spirit of repentance). We must fight the spiritual battle because it needs to be fought and we are the only ones that can. It is through prayer and our consecration to the Lord with our lives that we fight these unseen spiritual forces. We combat the curse in our land with the spirit of Elijah that restores the heart of the children to their heavenly Father. If men are going to have a Godly impact on the world, we must first have our own house in order. We must be individually reconciled / restored to our heavenly Father, ministering the love of Christ to our wives, and ministering the Father’s love to our children. Men need to take full responsibility for ourselves, our families including our wives and our children. The only way to adequately do that is to consecrate ourselves to the Lord: His Word, His Will, His Works, and His Ways. We need to fear Him more than any man. So we dedicate and consecrate ourselves as men of God, mighty men of valor, to be leaders under the covering of His direct leadership. Men who seek out a deeper and more intimate walk with our heavenly Father to grow in knowledge and understanding of God’s word as we learn to hear His voice and obey. Men who will stand, never compromising or bending the knee to the spirit of this age. #fathers #families #

The Lord tells us through Paul, the apostle, that the things of the Spirit of God are spiritually discerned. Whenever we read the bible, we must have spiritual ears and spiritual eyes to both truly hear/understand and perceive the true spiritually meaning and significance of what we are reading. The same is true for the exploits of God in miracles, signs, and wonders. Otherwise they can become lying signs and wonders, meaning the miracles help men and women to believe in a lie because of the sign and wonder they experienced. This particular study will help us to be open to God's real intent and purposes in displaying His might and power in the earth. Jesus reiterated an old covenant prophecy, but gave it spiritual meaning and significance. He said, "And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: 'HEARING YOU WILL HEAR AND SHALL NOT UNDERSTAND, AND SEEING YOU WILL SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE; FOR THE HEARTS OF THIS PEOPLE HAVE GROWN DULL. THEIR EARS ARE HARD OF HEARING, AND THEIR EYES THEY HAVE CLOSED, LEST THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, LEST THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEARTS AND TURN, SO THAT I SHOULD HEAL THEM.' But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it." "In a home, parents are the shepherds. They are the shepherds of everyone in the home and we need to kind of embrace that and realize that. Now, not only when we're talking about the parent and child relationship, we don't want to solely address the 'what' of a child's actions. That's surface level. That's outward. That's, you know, genotype, phenotype, that's phenotype. That's stuff that happens outwardly, external. We have to get to the root, and the root is always found in the heart. "So now we return back to my question what is the Gospel and how does one obey it? It's right there. We obey the gospel through the blood, the water and the Spirit. Just as they did in the days of old, so do we in the days of the new covenant, in this period of grace that it's called. But we're not going to continue ceremonial laws. "So what is Peter saying? What is he advising the church? that they are not to walk in the previous lust, in the previous things that they did before they were born again in Jesus Christ. We're not ignorant anymore. That was our excuse. That was my excuse back then, even though I went to Christian schools all my life. But I mean, I did whatever my parents raised me in, and it was really just my mom. And so, yeah, there was Halloween in our life. Yeah, there was Christmas in our life. Yeah, there was Easter in our life. Yeah, there was all the other holidays that I haven't bothered to mention. But at some point in time, now that I'm born again, I need to verify whether the things that I was raised in were true or not, and if they weren't, I have got to make a decision. "In terms of my experience as a student, I know for me, yes, there's the feeling of being left out, which might pressure a lot of people to have social media, and that's where it is so vital that parents do step in and have those boundaries set in place and be there for your children and definitely explain the why, because they're not going to get it. I can say for myself I didn't see the harm necessarily in Snapchat, I did see the harm in Twitter, just because of these experiences. But someone who may have not had a negative experience could think no, there's no way, I don't conduct myself that way and you may not, but maybe your peers do and God knows, if you make just one mistake, that could be blown up for them." "In that report, it says on a typical weekday, nearly one in three adolescents report using screens until midnight or later. Studies have shown that there is a relationship between excessive social media use and poor sleep quality, reduced sleep duration, sleep difficulties and depression among youth. One-third or more of girls age 11 to 15 say they feel addicted to certain social media platforms and over half of teenagers report that it would be hard to give up social media. I just heard recently, I don't know if you heard this. There was a survey or some sort of report that said that young Americans would forgo or forsake their voting privileges in order to keep TikTok. The same way we see seasons in the earth, or what some call “mother nature”, we all experience changes of season in our life. The natural does give a reflection of the spiritual. That’s why Jesus used so many different parables of “nature” to convey the kingdom of God to His people. God has seasons for His people. Every change in season must be preceded by a change in preparation and action. Our natural physical life is cyclical and is a picture of our process to spiritual maturity. To be ready to move with a fresh anointing (a new thing), we must be made anew as well to walk in it. "So he gave a perfect example of what a tradition of the elder does to the word of God. The word of God says honor your father and mother that it may go well with you. Well, they were not honoring their father and mother, and as long as they gave a gift unto the elders, it was absolved. It was overlooked. And so it negated what the word of God said, which is mean you need to honor your father and your mother. And so when I look at these scriptures, I see that the Pharisees willfully substituted their traditions over and above the commandments of men, excuse me, the commandments of God. They took the commandments of men and made it higher than the word of God, and in doing so, they made the word of God in the lives of people that they were trying to reach, supposedly, and minister to, of none effect. It didn't matter what the word of God said, just do what we say." "We must help our children understand how their straying heart results in their wrong behavior. They have to understand that. That's why you did that, that's why you stole that, that's why you took that back from from your friend who came over to spend a time with you and you wouldn't share that. Because your heart strayed, whether it was in pride, whether it was in vanity, whether it's whatever. They have to understand why they did that and realize that they need someone to help them rectify the issues of their heart. Because, though, the other major thing that this, this book, really emphasizes, not only do they need to understand why, they need to understand how do they get help, and they do and and this book emphasizes that you need to direct them to Jesus. Jesus is the one who's going to save them from their sins."
