MAN PULLS OUT REPLICA GUN, KILLED BY ANOTHER MAN WITH A REAL GUN
PHOENIX — A man with an airsoft gun was shot to death at a Phoenix gas station early Sunday morning by a man with a real gun.
Police were called out to a shooting near Camelback Road and I-17 around 5 a.m. and found 31-year-old Sergio Cruz with a gunshot wound.
An investigation found that Cruz was in an argument with the shooter over someone they both knew. At that point, police say Cruz pulled out an airsoft gun and pointed it toward the man who then responded by shooting Cruz in the chest with a handgun.
The shooter, who hasn’t been identified, isn’t facing criminal charges right now. He stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Police are still investigating the shooting.

FOUR YEARS LATER, CHARGES DROPPED, SHOOTING FOUND TO BE SELF-DEFENSE
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The charges against Sabrina Hendley in the case of the shooting death of her husband have been dismissed.
Hendley could have spent the rest of her life behind bars after deputies said she shot and killed her husband in 2018. Advocates stood in her corner, saying what led up to that night was years of alleged abuse and that she acted in self-defense.
Now years later, the charges against Hendley have been dismissed.
SHOOTOUT BETWEEN SMOKE SHOP EMPLOYEE AND 4 ARMED ROBBERS
A shootout broke out shortly after 7 PM this past Tuesday between a Compton, CA smoke shop employee and four armed robbers. Amazingly, the employee was wounded but survived. I can’t say as much for one of the armed robbers.
One of the men then pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employee. The employee put his hand on his gun as soon as he saw the gun pointed at him and then took cover. Then the employee drew and fired at least one shot at the armed robber, which caused the suspect to fire at least one shot back.
I would assume that was the suspect that the employee hit as it sent him tumbling over another suspect. They then scramble to get out of the store. Another suspect fired one shot at the employee as he fled.
The media reported that the store’s employee was shot in the neck and the face but was released from the hospital. So it sounds like his injuries weren’t that bad if he was released from the hospital. Maybe his injuries were caused by glass shrapnel when the counter was getting shot.
The same can’t be said for one of the armed robbers. The police later found him at a local hospital with a gunshot wound, where he would later die.

The shooting happened in February on a cold, 6-degree night in south Minneapolis in a neighborhood that had seen an increase in armed robberies.
(This could have been handled better. Warning shots are generally a bad idea, especially into the air. They could have chosen to retreat into the home. All that said, they still acted in self-defense.)

Oz isn’t copping to a change in opinion in his ad. Far from it. SUSPECTED HOME INVADER SHOT BY RESIDENT
FADETTE, Ala. (WDHN) — Early Friday morning, a Wiregrass homeowner shot an intruder twice with a handgun — after telling him to leave and then a struggle between the two.
Authorities say the suspect was in the process of burglarizing the rural residence when the homeowner awakened to a sound from the back door.
Emergency responders arrived at a trailer off Audy Lane in eastern Geneva County’s Fadette community, just after 3 a.m. this morning.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, had surgery at Southeast Health for the gunshots in his leg and abdomen. He is now reportedly in stable condition.
Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms says he and Geneva/Dale District Attorney Kirke Adams will gather all the evidence before charging the suspect.
“We worked the scene at the time, we’ve spoke to several witnesses there and several other locations and we’ve referred to the District attorney,” Sheriff Helms. “And determine what the charges will be. But at this time we don’t see any charges against the homeowner.
Sheriff Helms says once the suspect is released from the hospital he will be arrested and charged with the “Home invasion”

“If somebody’s breaking into your house, you’re more than welcome to shoot them in Santa Rosa County, and we prefer that you do actually. Whoever that was, you’re not in trouble. Come see us. We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday. If you take that, you’ll shoot a lot better, and hopefully, you’ll save taxpayers money.”

HOME INVASION VICTIM SHOOTS, KILLS ARMED POLICE IMPERSONATOR IN MAYFAIR: AUTHORITIES
Police Say At Least One Male Was Armed With A Gun And Had A Police Badge Around His Neck, Which Turned Out To Be Fake.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A home invasion involving men pretending to be police officers in Philadelphia ended with a deadly shooting when the victim turned the tables on the suspects, police say.
Just after 10 p.m. Sunday, police were called to the 7200 block of Battersby Street in Mayfair for the report of a shooting.
According to authorities, a 25-year-old man had just returned home to a duplex on the block.
After parking his car in a rear driveway, the resident walked up to the steps to his front door when he was approached by two males.
Police say at least one male was armed with a gun and had a police badge around his neck, which turned out to be fake. He identified himself as a police officer.
The two males then forced the resident into his property and demanded money.
"They tied his hands with zip ties around his back and threatened to kill him if he made any sudden moves. That's when our victim realized these individuals were not police officers," said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
According to police, the 25-year-old victim was able to free his hands and grab a gun from his pocket.
The victim fired several shots toward the men, striking the police impersonator three times.
The other suspect fled the scene on the foot. Police say it does not appear he was hit.
Responding officers rushed the wounded suspect to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police recovered the suspect's gun as well as the weapon the 25-year-old resident fired.

NEWTON COUNTY, ARK. LEADERS APPROVE FIREARMS FOR EMPLOYEES WHILE AT WORK
JASPER, Ark. (KY3) - The Newton County Quorum Court, by unanimous vote, will allow county employees to carry their concealed firearms while on the job.
The quorum court felt it is essential for each county employee to be able to defend themselves or others when the need arises. As long as the employee has a valid concealed carry permit, they can carry their gun.
A now-famous drive-by shooting rattled the Newton County Courthouse in 1949. While nothing similar has happened since it is one reason county justices aren’t taking any chances.
