A hideous, creepy segment from an obscure kids show called "Peppermint Park," featuring a frightening puppet named "Ernie" singing about the letter M, swiped from an obscure kids series "Peppermint Park"... The show was never posted or mentioned ANYWHERE online until I originally uploaded this stuff on the original Cringevision, Cringevisions & Cringevideo channels (in 2006, 2007, and then 2010 before Youtube suspended the accounts, causing me to lose a zillion comments and subs and I had to start all over again, thankfully this one has lasted!) so I'm happy/ashamed to have unleashed this nightmare fuel to the masses... "Peppermint Park" was a series of VHS tapes meant for kids, featuring terrible puppets, awful songs, boring arts & crafts, garbage story readings, and other bizarre oddities.. The intent was to create a "Sesame Street" knock off for the children's video market, and after 5 or 6 volumes, the concept failed, and was destined to wind up in "Movie Trading Company" bargain bins everywhere.. There are many other bits from "Peppermint Park" on my channel, but this is my favorite, and a classic.. Never fails to make drunken guests laugh their asses off.. Enjoy!

Poor Maynard... This little gem first premiered on the first version of my channel (cringemedia) in 2006, right after Google Video morphed into Youtube. Then appeared on every subsequent channel (after many channel terminations)... "Peppermint Park" was a forgotten direct-to-vhs kiddie series from the 80's that no one bought, no one cared about, and no one remembered until I started uploading clips from it onto Youtube in 2006 (the first of many terminated channels until finally Youtube left me alone in 2012)... I first saw this as a kid, and couldn't take my eyes off the man on the far left... The goofy Clark Kent lookalike. Now, because I later wound up working at the Studios At Las Colinas (where "Gerbert" was filmed, and long before the Glenn Beck invasion) for a very short spell (then fired for being "accused" of trying to steal the Gerbert puppet from it's glass display) I know for a FACT that often, production staff would be called in as extras if need be for whatever stupid crap was being filmed that day (usually "Walker Texas Ranger" ugh)... So I'm guessing these guys were tech crew members, and good ol' Chris Reeves decided to ham it up like a goofball.. 🤓🤡

Poor Peter Brady.... He was at a party, and no one would talk to him.... Except for one kid, who had the nerve to tell Peter that he had no personality.. Well, this set off poor lil' Pete on a downward spiral... So... In order to cheer him up & boost his ego, Peter's sister Marcia came up with a plan! Marcia invited her foxy bff Kathy to come over.. Told her to fawn over Peter, take interest, and pretend that whatever he said was interesting so that Peter could have a well deserved ego boost.. When Peter came home from school, the gals asked him about a movie that was going to air soon entitled "The Invasion Of The Potato People"... Peter vividly described the plot while the girls cheered him on with false compliments and praise at Peter's storytelling ability.. Then when Cindy Brady exposed the plot, Peter fell back into his mopey slump.... The absurd "Potato People" scene is legendary, and I felt it deserved a song devoted to it.... As a kid, I always laughed at Peter (at his expense) and this episode was a perfect example of why... Poor Peter Brady! You see, he went to a party, and had a lousy time. None of the other kids would talk to him! Well, one guy did... He told Peter that he was dull, and had no personality.. Well, this little interaction set poor lil' Pete onto a downward spiral... Peter came home, moping to his parents about how he was a boring person, had no personality, and was too boring and dull... So after watching a Humphrey Bogart movie on television, he had the brilliant brainstorm to emulate Bogart, and THAT personality would make him a super popular teen!!! But of course, his family saw through the charade, that the fraud was over. As a kid, I always laughed at Peter (at his expense) and this episode was a perfect example of why... "Porkchops and applesauce" was a quote that would never die. I heard kids mocking it in the 80's, 90's, and well into the 2000's... I always had the quotes "Porkchops and Applesauce," "I'm Too Dull," and "The Invasion Of The Potato People" quotes engraved in my brain, and decided to pay tribute to the memory with a fresh set of dance mixes sampling it!!! Took on the challenge of making a song out of this as a throwaway. Not entirely happy with the results, but it gets the job done. Making a video was even worse. For me, was an audio joke. Music video/visualizer for "If You're So Depressed How Come You're Eating Pizza? (Dance Mix)" inspired by the 1986 film "Lucas" starring Corey Haim, Charlie Sheen, Kerri Green, and Winona Ryder.. taken from the new musical album in tribute of the film entitled "Lucas Soundtrack 1986: The Dance Mix Collection" produced by myself, available on all streaming platforms!! As a kid, I always thought the scene where Maggie broke a date with Lucas (because Cappie was sad that his girlfriend broke up with him) was stupid. Especially when Lucas decided to get snarky... "If you're so depressed, how come you're eating pizza?" Even though Lucas knew the answer already.. "GO! Eat pizza! Don't let ME spoil your depression..." As a kid, I thought (and still do) that Lucas was acting like a selfish jerk, only thinking about himself, ignoring Cappie's broken heart in the name of narcissistic & egocentric lust. Cappie was heartbroken, devastated.. Maggie wanted to be there him, show friendly support and cheer him up with a little pizza (and later on, make out with Cap in front of the pizza parlor like a common whore, but that's another story)... But over the years, I turned the "if you're so depressed" and "go eat pizza" into a catchphrase amongst friends, always remembered it, would laugh at the memory... But as usual, one mix became 2, then 5, then 28..... then became a full blown "Lucas" inspired musical album....
