Night time encounters, mostly, with dumped kittens and and their mother. Then in the couple of days after that we were also busy finding a another couple of kittens dumped on their own and a young female with scabies - it has been REALLY BUSY!! Our channel - which only exists in order to try to support our rescue work with kittens and cats, is under continuous and unrelenting attack from youtube Indonesia - they are shutting down EVERY single video that I try to upload - despite the fact that we are a charity. The vindictiveness of youtube google is on such a level that this video is being penalized more than any other video on this channel - AFTER contacting help. This is not a surprise to a great many people (growing number) who have learnt about the vindictiveness of this platform. But I do not know of any other company that deliberately targets a charity for this kind of treatment. Thanks to those wonderful people who help us with donations. Showing another aspect of our work - when other people rescue kittens or cats - or have them dumped at their house - sometimes they come to us for help. Whether it is trying to seek out veterinary treatment at discount for injuries, or more routine treatments for worming, scabies or chlamydia - we try to help as much as possible. Rescuers, other cat lovers, even school children bringing strays from their school with scabies, for example. I spotted this little girl mooching around in the darkness at the local dump 2 nights ago - and despite being desperate and approaching me at first - fear got the better of her. After and hour and a half, I could not coax her back our of where she had taken refuge. Next day, one of the local farmers had caught her, and held onto her until I came by. Only hours later, she was spotted by one of our customers who fell in love with her...... she has already found her adopter! Only 20 hours after I first saw her. The last part - makeshift 'shelters' at the local dumps for the wet season - rough, ready and makeshift only - hopefully some kittens might get shelter when dumped from the torrential rain until we find and rescue them. I had to print a warning message to try to have them left alone - we will see if they are left undisturbed..... they are in no-ones way! Kitten rescue - the busiest we have ever been - a standalone summary from October. This is just the standalone summary of how one week this month was the busiest we have ever been. We ended up looking after 18 young kittens alone, in addition to adults which we rescued, and several who were treated 'in the field' - and it has not eased up since. There is no time for us to be able to campaign about this as an issue - which is sad. Ginger and Socks were abandoned on a small road between padi fields. They were about 7 weeks and malnourished when I spotted them. We caught Ginger on day 2, she was exhausted and lying in the open in the midday heat. Socks was more of a 'challenge'. It took another FIVE DAYS to catch him!

A whole litter of 1 month old baby kittens left to die beside a fast flowing aquaduct. We were there to try to trap a two month old frightened kitten from the previous night, and as we got ready with the trap we could hear a kitten screaming. One of them was already in the water and as he came into view he was frantically trying to hold on to some algae on the side of the duct. I was just about to get my feet wet to grab him but managed to get my hands on him before he was swept away again. then, of course, time to look UPSTREAM - 4 siblings sitting right on the edge of the aquaduct, with nowhere to go but fall DOWN and two were about to slip in. Thankfully they were not afraid and just let me scoop them all up. Because I was setting up the trap 100m away - my bike helmet was with the trap and therefore the camera also. So no footage of the drama except when I got back to the bike to get him dry and warm. They are doing well now - but catching them was a matter of shear luck and there is no doubt that all of them would have drowned if we hadn't been there. Rescue, treatment and rehabilitation of a one year old cat with severe scabies. Just how dramatic his recovery was as the weeks went by and why no cat needs to suffer like this. #scabies #mange #catrescue Tyson was literally thrown on the side of the Wedi-Bayat main road. He had a very bad scabies infection, and his eyes were so badly infected he couldn't even see where he was. He just sat there where he landed, confused. While some people just looked at him, one of our 'wonderful' neighbours actually went to shoo him off the street. We have 'full faith in the promises of our Lord' so we know that Allah azza wa'jal will reward that act of cruelty in full! Tyson's scabies was the most severe we have seen to date. He was in a lot of pain and couldn't even sit or rest properly. His eyes were almost closed completely. He was also very underweight. We started immediately with medication for scabies, antibiotics (because the damage to his skin was so severe), and, obviously, pain medication. Thanks to the pain medication he was able to rest a little. We were very worried for the first couple of days because of the severity and extent of damage to his skin. He was losing so much fluid through the damaged skin (like with a burn victim) that he was damp to the touch and actually felt wet at times. His body temperature was high also. He drank a huge amount of water himself, so luckily he didn't need to be put on a fluid drip. After 3 days, the scabs were falling off and his skin was able to start repairing itself. His eyes were almost fully open already. He started trying to groom himself and we were able to take him off pain medication. By the time one week had passed, Tyson was no longer feeling discomfort; most of his skin was healing well and he was starting to want to play with us. After two weeks, his skin is almost completely healed and his new fur is growing all over. He has been adding weight slowly but steadily since he arrived with us. He really enjoys being petted all over and being scratched really hard! Now, after 4 weeks, his recovery is practically complete – except for his 'cosmetic' appearance – which only requires the length of time it takes for his new lovely silvery-grey fur to grow! There is no excuse for any cat to end up like Tyson; being thrown away like refuse. A young cat mother Eva dumped in fields without her kittens - a box in the middle of nowhere - with the remains of some cat food. This is one of the worst things that I find from time to time.... this 'appeared' here since yesterday, but could be an adult cat, a kitten, or more than one. Even after searching when I found it around mid-day - didn't find anything, or see or hear anything. if it is one or more frightened kittens - then they could be anywhere - I have to go back tonight to try again - and that is how we spend our time - as opposed to the criminal animal abusers who run the fake channels that this platform actively supports - not to mention supporting those who openly and illegally deal with protected species. I found this lovely little kitten at one of the places I regualarly check. She was really delighted to be rescued - one of the most enthusiatic kittens I have rescued. One of the most difficult rescues I've done - this 6 week old little guy really gave me a serious work out for almost 2 hours in blazing heat. Two weeks later I had a heart attack - although in reality this little guy had little or nothing to do with it - I did think about this video when I was in ICU 2 weeks later! This is repost from just over a year ago - I wanted to share it again. Especially in light of how we are treated by this platform: youtube Indonesia does not want people to see how these animals are treated here and are doing everything to censor and hide the fate of thousands of kittens and cats who are dumped here daily. If I had keeled over at this place on the day I was chasing this kitten, no-one would have even noticed for hours here, if not until the next day. My fate would have been the same as his. I had checked on a couple of places on this day where previously kittens were dumped. At this particular dump, we rescued a couple of batches of kittens over the years. And that has been the same since! It was supposed to be closed for quite a while but not surprisingly, someone thought this was a suitable place to just throw away what should be a tiny nursing kitten. Other then bad roundworm infection, which is potentially serious in young kittens, but has been cleared up in his case, Fiacra had no health issues. Since rescue, Fiacra has done really well. He has a new friend, another rescued female kitten called Holly, who were put up for adoption when they were old enough. Ginger and Socks were abandoned on a small road between padi fields. They were about 7 weeks and malnourished when I spotted them. We caught Ginger on day 2, she was exhausted and lying in the open in the midday heat. Socks was more of a 'challenge'. It took another FIVE DAYS to catch him!

I was around a village in Jogonolan yesterday, where major ground clearance for a highway project as left many villages as piles of rubble. Driving past a disused mosque I spotted this guy. I thought at first he was an old cat and maybe had been left behind in the abandoned village - so I probably would have taken him anyway..... but when I approached him I realised he had very bad abdominal wounds that were old, but had already formed open abscesses with lots of fluid coming out. I'm sure he hadn't had food or water for at least a couple of days - so after letting him eat and drink a bit, we set off for home - then to the vet. At the vet the wounds were cleaned again and he was dressed properly, he was going to have to be stabilized for a while before even thinking about debriding and starting to tackle those wounds. He was still in shock and badly anemic. We had to leave him there overnight on a drip and later on he needed Oxygen. Sadly, early this morning he passed away. The vet was trying to arrange a blood transfusion for him.... but it was just too late for him. I am really sad about this guy, he was really tame and I don't think he had a fair shot in this world..... those wounds were like this for at least a week, possibly even longer - all it would have taken was ONE PERSON to help him in time! I will try to make a full video about this cat during the coming week if I can find the time, instead of just a short. Thanks to those wonderful people who help us with donations. This is the comment I just posted on youtube google's "Creator Insider" channel which is meant for their "youtube 'partner' program" (obviously their names and descriptions - NOT MINE): ( https://youtu.be/3MyFSVj5lzY ) "I have asked in public and in private many times for the last 8 months - why youtube google is shadow blocking me and preventing me from getting anything like the views I previously did. We rescue kittens and cats and have done NOTHING to hurt or annoy anyone, and yet we still get this attention from you - WHY? Every single video gets ridiculously low impressions - and then the pitiful views it does get are axed, while simultaneously being pulled from browse and suggestionss. Unlike the fake rescue channels which you actively promote - we are completey bona fide. Unlike them, we have a real physical address, which is in the description of every video we post, which ANYONE can come to and meet us and the animals we rescue - we are only 15minutes from the world famous Prambanan temple in Java. How about helping another Irish man out Conor? I'm not expecting an answer, just like before - but then at least other people in the YPP will really see what google means by the word 'partner'.
