More kittens found today at two different dumps - just the start of trying to catch and help these little guys. All of them are terrified and in places which are inaccessible, even trapping will not work in the first place. So in a country where no-one will help with rescuing like this - it is going to take a long time to catch these kittens by coaxing, and this is just the start. I found this 2 month old male kitten while driving through fields near the village of Sumyang, Central Java. I uploaded the wrong version on Rumble originally - the one minute version instead of the full length video. He is one of the most laid back abandoned kittens I ever encountered - especially for being so young and small. He is a real character - but from his behaviour, I suspected he had already been quite some time away from his mother already. I could tell from his appearance that he probably had a 'belly full' of worms - so worming is always a priority with rescued kittens like this. Just a warning for people who rescue kittens that some may not be aware of - they can look quite healthy but have the unseen problem of worms about to cause serious problems. Fleas should never be overlooked, especially in young animals which already have other health problems such as being malnourished. Fleas can easily kill young kittens like these and have to be dealt with. Thanks to those wonderful people who help us with donations.

We rescued more kittens in the last two weeks than we have done previously - not exactly a surprise considering it is the end of Ramadhan and Eid was approaching - meaning that more kittens and cats are thrown away at this time here than in the rest of the year. The implication for Islam in any place that this would happen is crystal clear. Obviously this is an anathema to Islam or ANY other religion - the deliberate and WILLFUL suffering caused by people who think in this way is beyond comprehension to me. What is stunning is that we have never received a single donation online towards rescuing or caring for these animals, not a single cent, dime - NOTHING within the place they are dumped. Not even during the month of Ramadhan or Eid itself. That is despite one video alone getting almost 700,000 views on Facebook in Indonesia. Coupled with the fact that nobody goes near these places to rescue the dumped kittens, no-one helps or volunteers to look after them, or to rescue them. Instead, people here would rather buy new cats and kittens and throw away the unwanted - even though buying and selling cats is absolutely forbidden in Islam. A short summary: 2 two month old kittens and a 3 month old acquaintance - and it proved to be a very 'interesting' day all in all. But thankfully I got them all back home safely in the end. I am pretty sure that the three of them were dumped before Eid - which means they were here for at least a week - I am amazed that the two younger ones are still alive after that time - they are bit weak and are absolutely filthy - they had nothing to drink but the swampy black mud that ran off from the dump. This place is only about 2 km from where we live and 300m from where Fiachra and most of last weeks rescues came from! The smallest one is so traumatised that she is trying to get milk from the other black and white KITTEN who is not related to the other two. The last picture shows them all starting to relax with us - after a week 'living there, they were obviously exhausted and HUNGRY. I have footage now from about 6 different rescues in the last 2 weeks that (and a lot more going back in months), besides shorts, I haven't had the time to make proper videos of - I hope to get around to it because it really tells a story about here. I will be posting again over the weekend about youtube google's behaviour 'for the record' - because I think it is important to let people learn exactly what google is and how it behaves - and then I hope to be able to get on with what is important - at least until they do something outrageous again. Kitten Kwik and Kwek were dumped with their mother on the side of the road. Luckily they ended up with us. Strangely - their Mother was adopted before they were!! After being our guests for a good few months, they finally found their forever homes with a family that has adopted from us previously - they will be friends with our old friend Tyson who rehabilitated with us from severe scabies. We have enjoyed their lovely nature and personalities and had hours of enjoyment playing with them - now it is time for them to go with their new family. I want to share our experiences in rescuing the most vulnerable animals and enjoyable scenic travel. The purpose of both channels is to draw attention and try to support our animal rescue work. Most animals were found during the course of normal journeys – some were caught quickly – and some required weeks with even the need to use a trap. Some of the kittens are dumped alone, some I find in entire litters. We do not only help cats! We have helped dogs, chickens, bats, quail, ducks, etc. As for the travel videos on my second channel, they are mostly about my motorcycle travels and drone footage across Java, Indonesia – with its landscapes, hidden places and people I meet along the way. After being inundated with rescue kittens and cats in the space of a few short days - most of whom came from this exact place in the previous 3 days or so - this was the last little guy I found. Or rather, while I left some food out just in case - he found me. He was obviously thrown away for no good reason - he is about 5 to 6 months old and is very tame with a nice friendly perasonality. He doesn't need much sosialisation training - so after worming and his manditory 2 week anti-parvo quarantine, he will be ready for adoption. I found this 3 month old kitten at a rubbish dump while travelling down the hill from Tebing Breksi, Prambanan in a small road. I think he had been here for as long as a week at least - since, at first, he paid no attention to me - a sign with kitten that they have given up on hoping for anything good to come from a human. we've called him Breksi. Also, his stool was almost completely undigested food such as tempe - obviously what is to be found at a rubbish dump is utterly unsuitable for a cat to eat. His stomach was badly swollen and we suspected it was because of bad worm infestation - so worming was a priority for him. Since bringing him home, he has become very clingy with us and he is very sweet. A whole litter of kittens was thrown on the side of the road in a cardboard box, one of which nearly got run over before we were grabbed them all. Sadly, three of them died very quickly after their rescue, and we were left with only two survivors, who were severely malnourished, quite sickly, and had developed deep mycosis on their face. Alhamdulillah, we were able to quickly identify that it was not a 'normal' fungal infection and start treating it aggressively. Muttley needed a bandage in order to ensure the medicine stayed in contact with the wound continuously and would not be cleaned off by him or his sister. He was a really good boy and tolerated the bandage very well, soon both of them were clear of the infection, which was a relief to us. Because of their difficult start in life and being so malnourished early on, they were very late growers, and will always be small. But they are healthy, playful and so loveable! Thanks to the generosity of our customers, Muttley and Lolly were vaccinated early!! Muttley and Lolly were adopted after a several months and went off to their forever home with a lovely family. The long term 'project' to catch this little guy finally came up trumps today - I've been chasing, stalking and hunting this little guy for weeks. Finally after living here on his own for nearly a month, he has a chance now to become a beloved family pet and hopefully have a long and healthy life.
