Reviewing Amazon’s Best Seller Dry Bag | Earthpak
Roll-top dry bags, in general, are completely waterproof and designed to keep your stuff dry while you’re kayaking, paddle boarding, on the boat, or any other water sport in between. But do they even work and if so, is there any leakage?
Earth Pak Dry Bag - https://amzn.to/3FLymSI
Features
You can get this bag anywhere between 10 to 55 Liters. I got the 20 liters since I thought it was all I needed for my day trips. And unless I was filming that day, a 20-liter bag is all I need between my wife and me.
The 10 and 20-liter comes with a removable strap while the 30, 40, and 55-liter has built-in dual backpack straps.
Now if you don’t like it in orange like mine, you can get it in other colors. And as a side note, with the purchase, you also get an IPX8-certified waterproof phone case that actually works quite well.
Build quality
Initially, I was skeptical, because the large bag was impressively affordable at only $22. But that skepticism was erased once I felt the build and tested its waterproof capabilities.
It’s made in the USA and constructed of entirely waterproof 500D PVC. Along with the included 5-year warranty, this material seems tough and able to last a very long time.
Now the low cost and decent build is great and all but does this dry bag actually do what it’s supposed to, and keep your things inside completely dry? Well, I ran it through a few tests which you’ll see later on.
How To Close & Seal A Dry Bag
Add items to the bag
Remove excess air from the bag
Fold tightly from the top 3 times minimum
Attach the buckles folding the back inward
Water Proof Testing
I gave this dry bag 3 separate water tests. Rain, floating in a river if it falls off and submerging it 3 feet underwater for a few minutes. But keep in mind, that these tests are after tightly folding the top at the recommended 4 times.
Rain Test: Water didn’t penetrate the main compartment
Water Floating Test: Water didn’t penetrate the main compartment
Water Submerge Test: A little water penetrated and and went into the bag. Didn’t seem like it was enough to damage electronics and certainly not enough to for clothes.
I was pleasantly surprised with this affordable dry bag as it kept everything dry without any leakage! This gave me the green light to bring some of my sensitive electronics on the trip without worrying if it falls out of the kayak, or we get caught in a large storm.
Convenience
A few other side notes worth mentioning about this particular dry bag and they’re all related to convenience and ease of use. First of all, the shoulder strap makes it easy to transport but even the buckled top provides a nice carry handle.
Once you’re done and ready to store it away, drybags in general are extremely space efficient. Rolled up, you can fit them almost anywhere. I have 2 separate 20L Earth Pak drybags and both take up hardly any space in my storage container.

Georgia is a state in the Southeastern region of the United States, bordered to the north by Tennessee and North Carolina; to the northeast by South Carolina; to the southeast by the Atlantic Ocean; to the south by Florida; and to the west by Alabama. Georgia is the 24th-largest state in area and 8th most populous of the 50 United States. Its 2020 population was 10,711,908, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.[5] Atlanta, a "beta(+)" global city, is both the state's capital and its largest city. The Atlanta metropolitan area, with a population of more than 6 million people in 2021, is the 8th most populous metropolitan area in the United States and contains about 57% of Georgia's entire population.[6]
Founded in 1732 as the Province of Georgia and first settled in 1733, Georgia became a British royal colony in 1752. It was the last and southernmost of the original Thirteen Colonies to be established. Georgia is defined by a diversity of landscapes, flora, and fauna. The state's northernmost regions include the Blue Ridge Mountains, part of the larger Appalachian Mountain system. The Piedmont plateau extends from the foothills of the Blue Ridge south to the Fall Line, an escarpment to the Coastal Plain defining the state's southern region. Georgia's highest point is Brasstown Bald at 4,784 feet (1,458 m) above sea level; the lowest is the Atlantic Ocean. With the exception of some high-altitude areas in the Blue Ridge, the entirety of the state has a humid subtropical climate. Of the states entirely east of the Mississippi River, Georgia is the largest in land area.[11]

8 Intermediate SUP Tips & Tricks
If you think you're slightly passed the basics and ready to improve your SUP standup paddleboarding, here are 8 tips and tricks.
MY SUP - https://amzn.to/3uJf35S
Drone - https://amzn.to/3ULdIWR
Camera - https://amzn.to/3fTXmKf
Hold Paddle Vertical To The Water
For many months starting out, including the first SUP video we did, I didn’t hold my paddle completely verticle. Holding it verticle allows a more efficient row for greater speed and helps keep the boat straight without the need to switch sides as often.
Relax Feet
For some odd reason, tensing your feet is a natural reaction for many people when standing on a paddle board. However, tensing the feet isn’t only uncomfortable which reduces the trip’s enjoyment, but it also tires your legs out quicker.
Try to make it a conscious effort to relax your feet while on the board. You might have never even known you had that issue all this time.
Angle Paddles Power Face Slightly Towards You
As an intermediate, you should know that the power face is the part of the paddle that’s curved out which is the part facing you while paddling.
If you angle the paddle’s power face slightly towards you rather than straight back, it helps keep the board straight while rowing. This little trick will help reduce how often you need to change sides.
Wide Turn While Moving Forward
A trick to turn quickly while moving forward is by bending and making a wide stroke while the blade is angled away from you. Be sure that the paddle isn’t too shallow on the water and deep enough to make the most out of your stroke.
Quick Turns In Place
Making a large turn while you’re in a place like a clock is an easy trick that I actually need to do often.
To turn left, bring the paddle to your left side and stroke the paddle in a forward motion. Then switch to the right side and stroke in the standard backward motion. Keep repeating until you’re SUP is facing where you want it to be.
To turn to the right and vice versa. Especially if you haven’t tried that before, I recommend staying away from the shore or areas where it’s not safe to fall as it might be a little tricky starting out.
Pivot Turn
While on the subject of turning, the SUP pivot turn is a really cool technique that turns your board at a rapid speed without changing your paddling side.
Basically, while rowing at high moderate to high speed, you bring your feet to the back of the board at the perfect point where it elevates the front of the board’s pitch. When the front of the board is elevated, it allows a sharp turn of the board when stroking. Once your board is turned where you want it, bring your feet back to the center. Expect to fall the first several times trying the pivot turn but once mastered, you can show off to your friends or date.
Utilizing The Board’s Pitch
On the topic of changing your paddle board’s pitch, the next tip is to utilize it in creative ways. One cool trick is to dock it on land without getting into the water. You do this by getting towards the back to lift the front which brings the board closer to shore than it usually would. Then once stopped walk to the front which docks the board and generally allows you to walk from the board directly on land.
Briefly touched on the last tip but another cool trick for utilizing pitch is quick turns and stops. You can come up with some of your own moves after practicing or watch the creativity of the pros. Also, if you’re in shallow water, you can get to the front of the board to lift the rear up which reduces the chance of your fin getting caught.
Keep Your Back Straight While Paddling
Lastly, this one that I’m still working on, but keep your back straight while paddling. Not only is it better for your back, but it helps engage your core and enhances proper rowing technique. Straightening your back also helps keep the paddle verticle for a more efficient stroke.

North Georgia is the northern hilly/mountainous region in the U.S. state of Georgia. At the time of the arrival of settlers from Europe, it was inhabited largely by the Cherokee. The counties of north Georgia were often scenes of important events in the history of Georgia. It was the site of many American Civil War battles, including the Battle of Lookout Mountain and the Battle of Chickamauga, leading up to the Atlanta Campaign. Today, particularly in the northeast portion of the region, tourism sustains the local economy.
North Georgia encompasses the north Georgia mountains (far northeast and northwest) region of the state and the Atlanta metropolitan area, although the term is often used to describe only the region north of the metro area, especially in newscasts from the Atlanta media market (which reach nearly all of the northern third of the state). To the south lies central Georgia, with upstate South Carolina to the east, western North Carolina to the northeast, East Tennessee to the north, and northeast Alabama to the west. Part of metropolitan Chattanooga extends into the far northwestern section of Georgia from Tennessee, while most of the rest of the region is tied to Atlanta-area mass media.
The highest of Georgia's Appalachian Mountains are near the North Carolina border, including Brasstown Bald, the highest point in the state. The northwest contains part of the eastern Tennessee seismic zone, and small earthquakes have been felt as far away as Atlanta. The foothills gradually flatten out toward the south. Much of metro Atlanta is hilly as well, especially on the north and west.
Major rivers include the upper Chattahoochee River, upper Savannah River, Etowah River, far upper Flint River, upper Coosa River, and upper Oconee River. Smaller tributary rivers are the Little River, Chestatee River, Chattooga River, Tallulah River, Tugalo River, Oostanaula River, Coosawattee River, Cartecay River, Ellijay River, Conasauga River, Toccoa River, Sweetwater Creek, upper Tallapoosa River, upper Yellow River, Nottely River, and small headwaters of the far upper Hiawassee River and Little Tennessee River. Were it not for a 19th-century surveying error that failed to place the state's northern border at exactly 35°N, it would also touch the Tennessee River.

How many Youtube Subscribers do you get from a viral Tiktok Video? | Free Solo Climber Freaks Out
Last week my friends and I accidentally made a very viral tiktok video of me fake freesolo mountain climbing. As of today, it has over 9.8 million views and 1.4 million likes. While my friend's week-old tiktok channel got roughly 7000 followers from that video, how many of those views translated into youtube subscribers from my connected channel?
While I'm not used to making videos like these and I likely won't in the future, I try my best to break it down in my analytics. I hope this helps youtube/tiktok creators!
