In this episode, we read more fairy tales, a timeless prayer, and then we do a breathing activity at the end! The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 68 “The Vision of Visions” is taken from the Bhagavad Gita. I found it in God Talks with Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita. How many times has “The Vision of Visions” been read? How many times has it been spoken throughout time? I have adjusted the prayer to try and make it more understandable. Mainly replacing the old English pronouns. When you listen to it, do you get the message? Do you get a particular feeling? I’m genuinely curious. My paraphrasing of the message in “The Vision of Visions” is as follows: “There is a God. God created everything. There is good and evil. There are good circumstances and bad circumstances. We should be grateful for our life and strive to do good. We should live to fight against evil because God is good and he gave us choices.” My understanding of “The Vision of Visions” is why it is an amazing prayer for children to hear. It sums up life in truth and the age of the text promises its availability in the collective consciousness. As we tap into the collective from our subconscious mind, it surely must be readily available to connect with those who are operating in the subconscious brainwave state… our young children. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 67 Fairy tales are important for many reasons. One reason is because fairies are real! Are there physical Tinkerbells fluttering around in the forest when you aren’t there? Maybe, maybe not. But there is life in the earth, the stones, the plants, the flowers, the trees, the sky. Fairies are a spiritually scientific way of naming this. Young children are more connected to the unseen than adults are. Reading fairy tales to young children, with reverence, is an affirmation of the truth. Spending time with young children, and treating them with reverence, brings you into the fairy tale world. You develop your intuition and get connected with the unseen in nature. It’s a reward. It’s what some may call “eco-spirituality”. It’s what comes about when families connect with each-other and with nature. The Truth that is scattered through these old stories and myths. The Truth doesn’t change, perhaps that’s why some stories stand the test of time. These old myths and stories tap into the “All”, they highlight the “allness” of things. Young children are most connected to the “allness” of things. Instead of indoctrinating kids out of this sense… a solution is to read myths and fairy tales to affirm their natural connection to the “All”. In this episode, we learn about the magical Fairy World! I also read you a BIG FAT STORY about Soldier Jack, the choices he makes and their consequences. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 65 I discovered many hidden things about the world when I was teaching young children. Studying occult material, spirituality, Natural Law and so on, I was having such a magical time. My experiential knowledge was going to be kept at anecdotal evidence only. There was a search for esoteric and occult information regarding early childhood. I found Steiner, I found Rosicrucian material and Theosophical material. I chose not to read it during my teaching practice. I was experiencing so much and developing my knowledge through discovery. I knew that the teaching thing was on a short timer, with the way the world is going. So, years later, I have been reading the material I found. The story of the Fairies from, The Eternal Verities, is one example of esoteric-mystery-school-teachings-for-young-children that I can share with confidence and the knowing in heart for it to be true to share with young children. It's time to open up the cages and let our spirits sail on the sea of life - a poetry and stories packed episode! The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 64 The indigo children are clear examples of how children are “in the hands of God”. The indigo children show how children are still coming through from “the other side”. They remind us that of the water that our ships/souls sail on. The phenomena of the indigo children is a cultural trap too. It promotes the idea that “my child is superior to others”. At the risk of criticising parents (of which I am not one), our lack of confidence and our disharmony sees us as separate from one another. We compare ourselves to others. We want to be different and better than others, but we already are different and better.. our soul is trying to push this out of us, but we get the internal message wrong amongst all the external messaging we receive in the distorted world we live in. The point being is that all children are indigo children. All children are special, all humans are able to tap into their “indigo”. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 63 The Golden Bird is classified in the Aarne-Thompson index as a “Supernatural Helper” fairy tale. The supernatural helper is the fox. The fox is often a supernatural helper in fairy tales. In shamanic and indigenous cultures, animals are spirits, or are connected to spirits, that are here to teach and guide us. They are here to help us. This is a truth that can be discovered by spending time, in earnest, with young children. The fox symbolises trusting in intuition, intelligence and breaking out of social conditioning. This symbolism rises up in the Grimm’s fairy tale, The Golden Bird. When we read to young children, we are encouraging them to grow their imagination and create the images in their mind. When we read fairy tales, myths and fables of old, we present universal truths that young children turn into images and symbols in their mind that are harmonious with nature, universal and set them up for holistic intelligence and a connection to Truth later in life. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 62 Gino reads a Brothers Grimm story that was removed after the first edition. The Children of Famine is as brutal as it sounds. The kids can handle it though! Children just came back here, they’ve likely been here before. The brothers Grimm were motivated by the belief that a true natural way of living was passed down through story over time. They wanted to preserve folklore to keep an understanding of common sense and living with one another. Gino’s opinion is that Natural Law teachings are found in folklore tales. So, the point is, The Secret Kindergarten is driven to preserve these stories too. If it’s banned, we will use our common sense and decide whether or not to read it. Did you know Dr. Seuss books are being banned? We are winding the clock back. Gino doesn’t precisely know how The Children of Famine is of benefit to young children and families. But it opens the conversation up to realities that are faced by people on earth, and in a way that it is appropriate for young children, through spending time and reading stories. Young children are wise enough to hear about death, destruction and wrong-doing. So we should bring these dynamics into the conversation and be curious about what young children have to say about these things. Hall If you treat young children like they are mentally and emotionally mature, they will become wise, useful and be the best they can be. In this episode we highlight this reverence with: a Grimm’s fairy tail about a wise boy; the numerological significance of the number 3; the wisdom of the alder tree. Trees are wise, they have that vibe, don’t you think? We share an activity idea that families can do wherever they find a big tree and a seedling. Steiner spoke of the importance of the engagement with families and nature to ferment the spiritual aspect of life. This “eco-spirituality” can be tapped into by getting out in nature and playing with the kids. There are various deceptive and dishonest methods that we might have considered inconsequential, but they do matter; they contribute negative consequences and disgrace to our moral balance, and eventually, these effects need to be reconciled. Even a small falsehood is akin to planting an acorn seed that could grow into a mighty tree if we nurture it by remaining silent when we should speak up. We might delude ourselves into thinking that silence doesn't constitute lying, but this is the most deceitful form of falsehood because it deceives us internally. We must be truthful enough to understand the motives behind our actions or inactions; otherwise, we're not truly honest. Fabricating lies to shield or benefit ourselves incurs a hefty karmic toll. We shouldn't seek to pardon ourselves for wrongdoing, nor should we attempt to excuse others. It's more beneficial to be honest with someone, point out their mistakes, and assist them in improving, rather than excusing them and allowing them to forget the lessons they need to learn — that consequences await them. Sometimes, we offer excuses because we believe it will make the other person feel more kindly towards us, but this isn't honest behaviour. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 59 The bears showed up during the covid lockdowns. Did you see all the bears? Teddy bears, that is. Children all around the world had more time at home, more time in comfort with their teddies. Children needed their teddy more during this time. The anxiety being transferred from parents and communities who believed the lies, who bought in to the fear-mongering. To bear the boredom of lockdown… some communities encouraged the children to leave their favourite toy in the front window of their home. This was so all the children, out on a masked and socially-distanced walk, could spot the toys from the street-view of the houses. The symbolism of the bear was reaching the masses. The bear was sending the grown-ups a message. Bear Spirit shows up when: You find yourself in a scenario where it's necessary to assert yourself in order to uphold your self-respect; you need to come out of hiding and face the world; you should trust your instincts; you need to look inside to find the answers to your questions. The Bear showed up during the lockdowns to tell us to use our common sense, say “no” and live life in the face of the adversity of the covid lockdowns. The young children of the world facilitated the message because they are the most closely connected to our spirit guides. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 58 The trivium. The learning process. The way we operate. Information comes in, and this informs our thoughts. Our thoughts inform the way we feel. Our feelings inspire us into action, because of what we know. So, this is why we want the best information, the right information, the Truth. It sets us up for living the Right way. Young children are all action. I think the trivium is reversed in the early years. From two-to-seven-years-old, the actions (play-based learning) are what sets the mind up to be able to receive the information in the best way… and to think the best thoughts. From seven-to-fourteen-years-old, we meet in the middle with the emotional development. Learning pursuits such as playing a musical instrument should be introduced with emotional awareness and sensitivity… it’s all about feelings… the second stage of development is about learning to feel. From 14-21 years old… this is where we would see more of a formal education, learning how to think, where the truth can be presented and received directly. Thought-Fairies (as explained in The Power of Thought) are the way to introduce this trivium concept to young children. It speaks to children in a way that affirms their connection to the unseen and to their active imagination. It is a reminder to us grown-ups as well, which makes this story from The Eternal Verities an affirmation to transfer through the bonds we have with our young. It comes down to the power of the magic word, “No!”. It is one of the most common first words for a reason. It backs up the five sense, and it backs up the sixth sense too. It really is a positive word. I think it is the most important word for young children, no matter how frustrating it can be for grown-ups! When the word “no” is discouraged from being used (to, ironically, encourage positivity)… the same principle is being applied! One is using the word, “no” to negate the word, “no”! So, let’s say, “No!” to saying, “No!” to a child’s use of the word, “No!”. There is a new age story we are told as adults. We are here for an “experience”. We are here with our free will, to do as we please. This message is to prevent us from acknowledging objective morality. Our free will choice is for us to choose a side, to take the right action or the wrong action. There is a side to fight on. The “New Age Deception” touches our inner child, our broken child. The child that wasn’t affirmed or encouraged, the child that was discouraged and indoctrinated. This is the paradox. We must bring these affirmations into childhood, while the developing human is in the hands of God, protected by the angels and connected with nature. The story is called The Story from The Theosophical Society’s “Eternal Verities for Teachers of Children”. The important thing is that the adult understands to moral of the story. It is important that the adult understands the allegory or the message of the story. The story can be as fantastical as possible, the more fantastical, the better! What is important is the bond between the adult and the child, and the values, ethics, morals and understanding will get transferred through play and activities such as reading stories that have spiritual teachings. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 51 The classic story, The Emperor’s New Clothes, shows how young children are outside of the control system, outside of the matrix. Young children are indoctrinated into the fear of what other people think, the fear that run rife amongst the town’s people in the story. The young children spoke the truth to break the spell. The spell was broken because an adult held the young children in reverence and respected the words which were spoken. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 50 Lesson six of Theosophy’s Eternal Verities for Teachers of Children teaches about “The Self” being in all thing here on earth. Life is in everything here on earth: stones; plants; animals and humans. This Life is found in all things because of the Law of Vibration. This is why we should choose to do the right thing, choose to do good, choose to care for the planet and our animals. Birds that dwell in the city are a wonderful point of interest with learning opportunities for our young children. There is so much fascinating learning for the whole family: how different birds nest; where different birds nest; identification; caring for injured birds; feeding… and so on. Bird symbolism can provide messages and auguries for adults if they were to find their playful inner-child and have an interest in the life of birds around us. Exploring nature around us is an affirmation for young children, it’s an affirmation that they are connected by Natural Law. It builds self esteem to share in exploration with their adult heroes. It promotes curiosity and critical thinking. The birds and the angels are closely linked through culture, myth, symbolism and spirituality. It is occult knowledge that young children are being supported by the angelic realm. So, what does that say about young children and the birds? Are they here in the cities with us to support young children too? What proof can you find of this through discovery? The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 49 The Star card in the tarot is about acceptance and “shining bright” with what you have and with what you cannot change. We explore this theme by reading about a blind racoon, which also highlights the difference between good actions, evil actions and the effects that they cause. This links from Manly P. Hall’s words of wisdom for the day (which are paraphrased to be more palatable for young children). We end by getting down to brass tacks by suggesting that stargazing is a fantastic family activity on a clear night. Staring at the stars helps us to make sense of our place in the world and who we are…. which circles all the way back to the symbolism of The Star card in the tarot. It has themes of existence, creation, life and nature’s elements. It corresponds to the number 10! Pythagoras considered 10 to be the most sacred number, since 1+2+3+4 = 10. The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 44 The Hello Game: look another person in eye and say “hello” and make a comment about them such as “you have blue eyes”. This prompted a discussion in the Revolution Radio chatroom. In the adult world, playing the “hello Game’ might be the better way to start a fist-fight. I think it may be the way to prevent a fist fight later in life, by practicing this confidence-building exercise early in life. We just don’t practice looking one-another in the eye. The eye is the window to the soul, as they say. When I took up martial arts, it strengthened me and gave me confidence which was written into my eyes. I’m still completely harmless, but when I’m locked in eye contact and confrontation… the fear doesn’t float up into the eyes, they stay engaged and calm….. they tell a different story to the bully… the bully moves on… he is looking for the fear, the runaway, not someone who can confide in him. Susie the Chooser is about as direct as you can ever get when teaching morality to young children. It’s as far as I will ever get to indoctrinating children on this show. I challenge you to find esoteric work regarding the education of young children. You won’t find much outside of Rudolf Steiner and Max Heindel. The story comes from H.P. Blavatsky’s theosophical book “The Eternal Verities”. Blavatsky pulls a “Jordan Peterson” and teaches the children how tidying up your room corresponds to, and has a cosmic effect on, universal order. And it is 100% true, life is about choices, choosing to do the right thing in the present moment is all we have. It’s the best and most powerful thing we can do as individuals. It’s living according to Natural Law.
