In today's review of the @colourpopcosmetics Smokin' Hot eyeshadow palette, I am looking at eyeshadow colors I consider to be my most hated colors! Obviously, in these reviews of the ColourPop Smokin' Hot eyeshadow palette, I'm working with warm-tone eyeshadows, which sort of clash with my cool-tone skin. For this review, though, I am working with some of the most vibrant orange eyeshadows in the Smokin' Hot eyeshadow palette. Orange eyeshadow is my least favorite, but in this review, I found some beautiful, pigmented, blendable eyeshadows I think all of my warm-tone pals will love! We're looking at the second set of eyeshadows in the @colourpopcosmetics Gettin' Fresh eyeshadow palette! I am going to be doing all the reviews of the ColourPop Gettin' Fresh palette over the course of the next few weeks, just to get the palette wrapped up and out there for you! For these eyeshadows, the colors are very vibrant, but they make for an excellent everyday eye makeup look! Overall, the ColourPop Gettin' Fresh eyeshadow palette is an excellent, affordable everyday eyeshadow palette for warm-toned individuals. There are 6 very vibrant green eyeshadows in the palette, but don't let them distract you from the other 24 more neutral, lighter eyeshadows available! The Gettin' Fresh palette looks very green when you initially look at it, but when you look closer, it is a very neutral, peachy eyeshadow palette. We're looking at the @colourpopcosmetics Smokin' Hot eyeshadow palette, and reviewing the first column of this RED eyeshadow palette! As with every eyeshadow palette that comes on the market, I think that many people ask the question of whether or not it is NECESSARY. With the ColourPop Smokin' Hot eyeshadow palette, I think that it is very clearly targeting warm-tone people, but I do feel like it fills in an area that ColourPop is lacking. The Smokin' Hot palette is red, and in my opinion, ColourPop has been fairly focused on pink and orange for a long time. In my opinion, the Smokin' Hot palette is sort of a palette we've been waiting for for a long time, since red seems to be the one warm-tone color ColourPop has ignored. What are your thoughts? My eyeshadow has always creased horribly, but I've found a way to prime my eyes to keep my eyeshadow in place all day long! I've used different methods of priming my eyes, including concealer with either loose powder or pressed powder, just powdering my eyes, and using thick concealer products set with eyeshadow. What I've found that keeps my eyeshadow in place all day, though, is the @colourpopcosmetics Party Proof Eye Primer, which comes in a variety of different colors. This primer keeps my eyeshadow in place for 12 hours or more, depending on what I'm doing. Try it for yourself and let me know your thoughts! As many of you know, I am NOT a fan of orange eyeshadow, but we are dipping into and reviewing the ORANGE column of the @colourpopcosmetics Matte About Hue Eyeshadow palette! Now, I am a huge fan of the ColourPop Matte About Hue palette, because in my opinion, it is far more versatile than the Fade Into Hue palette, the eyeshadows are more consistent, and the range of colors is PERFECT for creating any and every colorful eyeshadow look you desire to do. The orange eyeshadows perform no differently than the other eyeshadows I've dipped into in the Matte About Hue palette, them being creamy, blendable, and having gorgeous pigment. Obviously, I'm not a fan of the color, but that's because I'm a cool-tone person trying (and failing) to use warm-tone eyeshadows. Purple eyeshadow is certainly a trending eyeshadow color, and today, I am working with the @colourpopcosmetics All Amethyst eyeshadow palette, which is an older purple eyeshadow palette ColourPop has had in their collection. While I initially want to love this palette, I found myself struggling with the colors. The purples in the All Amethyst eyeshadow palette are beautiful, but what really bothers me about them is that they are all DARK! There's no real building up to a darker shade, and so while they blended well together, there is no way to do lighter eye makeup looks...all the colors are dark! Some of the darkest eyeshadows were also dryer and lacked pigment. So, while I think the palette is interesting, I don't think it is absolutely necessary. This is my FIRST IMPRESSION and review of the @colourpopcosmetics Lilac You A Lot eyeshadow palette! Today, I use every eyeshadow in the ColourPop Lilac You A Lot palette and give my honest review of how the palette handles (SPOILER! it's a gorgeous)! I really love this palette! All the eyeshadows are creamy, buttery, and vibrant. All the matte eyeshadows were creamy and blended together beautifully. The shimmers were all very unique, there being a regular shimmer, two iridescent shimmers, and a more sparkly, brightening shimmer eyeshadow! All together, the ColourPop Lilac You A Lot palette is definitely a keeper! I loved working with this eyeshadow palette, and I am obsessed with the makeup look I ended up with! I also paired it with the requested BLACK LIP, and I think the result turned out so incredible!
