From the @colourpopcosmetics Aurora Struck eyeshadow palette, there are TONS of amazing eyeshadows in this palette, but these are the ones that are the BEST in my opinion. The ColourPop Aurora Struck has a few neutral colors that are perfect to use as the initial eyeshadow for the crease, which is awesome to find in a colorful eyeshadow palette. One of my favorite colors in the Aurora Struck palette is the GORGEOUS teal green shimmer, which is such a vibrant statement color that has beautiful texture. The silver shimmer is has a beautiful liquid effect that is incredibly vibrant and one of the most metallic silver I've ever used. The gray shimmer is a beautiful, deep shimmer that has rich enough color that I don't have to use setting spray to make it have the texture I'm looking for. The white shimmer has a gorgeous, pearly effect that really wakes up and freshens the makeup look, and makes the perfect highlight shade. Overall, the ColourPop Aurora Struck eyeshadow palette is a beautiful palette, and honestly one of my absolute favorites. For anyone who knows me, you know that the @colourpopcosmetics Stone Cold Fox eyeshadow palette is my ALL TIME FAVORITE ColourPop mega palette. I am definitely a sucker for my cool-tone eyeshadows😹 The Stone Cold Fox palette is filled with edgy, cool-tone eyeshadows, and I always feel like a smokey, shimmery makeup look just screams this palette's personality. I decided to use the gunmetal gray shimmer and the vibrant silver shimmer to cover the eyelid, and I blended neutral and gray matte eyeshadows in the crease. The pink eyeshadows in the @colourpopcosmetics Smoke N' Roses palette are BOSS! The ColourPop Smoke N' Roses palette is a fan favorite for a reason, the eyeshadow palette being loaded with incredibly usable pink, purple, and neutral eyeshadows. For today's eyeshadow color study, we're focusing on the fourth column of eyeshadows, which has 2 shimmers and 3 mattes, including 4 pink shades and 1 gray. The pink eyeshadows appear very vibrant and bright in the palette, but they are muted enough to be usable for an everyday makeup look. The gray eyeshadow is a little bit hard and applies more patchy than I'd like, but I was definitely able to blend it out! The @colourpopcosmetics plethora of lip products can be daunting to choose between, and it can also be incredibly hard to tell which ones will last the longest. Today, I am breaking down the difference between ColourPop Lippie Stix, Lip Creme, Lip Lacquer, and Lux Lipstick. I am sharing swatches of the different products, how long each of the lip products last, and how the lip products behave as they fade on the lips. ColourPop doesn't have any lip products that have 24hr lasting effect like Maybelline, for example, which I do find sort of disappointing. Yes...I 100% wore this makeup look to work😹 Are you curious about what the BEST eyeshadows are in the @colourpopcosmetics Main Squeeze eyeshadow palette? The entire palette is absolutely gorgeous, but these two eyeshadows have me completely obsessed. The Main Squeeze eyeshadow palette is obviously a completely red eyeshadow palette, and I think it is perfectly balanced with light and dark eyeshadows in both mattes and shimmers. My favorite eyeshadows in the palette have to be "Home Slice" and "Frose"! Home Slice is a gorgeous, strawberry red shimmer. When you apply Home Slice to your eyelid, it doesn't lose its pigment or its shimmer, which is why it makes it as one of my favorites! Frose is a lovely, rosy red matte and the lightest matte in the Main Squeeze palette. I use Frose to blend whenever I am creating a red makeup look, and it is so buttery and beautiful when applied! Feeling like slaying? *cue Beyonce* Today, I'm using the @colourpopcosmetics Aurora Struck eyeshadow palette to create this GORGEOUS night out makeup look! I have been dying to use the Dynamo eyeshadow for a purple smokey eye for months now, so I finally dipped into it today! Dynamo is a stunning dark purple, metallic shimmer that is incredibly pigmented and has a beautiful glimmer that can't be beat! Sometimes, you just want more than a basic smokey eye makeup look, and I believe that adding color (or just replacing the black with color) is the best way to do that! While I'm calling this smokey eye a night out makeup look, I honestly think you could wear this anywhere! The glisten of the purple shimmer on the eyelid, and the fact that it's purple instead of black, lightens up the makeup look enough to makeup it wearable any time of day! The @colourpopcosmetics Aurora Struck eyeshadow palette is full of surprises, and today's color study is no different! We're looking at the fifth column of the ColourPop Aurora Struck palette, which is full of beautiful blues! There are 2 mattes and 3 shimmers, including a dark, navy blue shimmer that is simply gorgeous. The eyeshadows are all very unique shades of blue, the palette having periwinkle, baby blue, and again, navy blue. Personally, I rarely reach for blue eyeshadows, preferring other colors before blue, but these eyeshadows are stunning! The eyeshadows are blendable, but I did find that I had to work a little bit harder to blend the eyeshadow out. It felt like, while the colors are gorgeous, you don't 100% have all the colors you need to EFFORTLESSLY blend the eyeshadow out. Obviously, beautiful, blended eyeshadow always takes a little bit more time, but you don't definitely have to blend a little bit extra for these eyeshadows. The @colourpopcosmetics Play It Jewel eyeshadow palette is FULL of dazzling jewel-tone eyeshadows that are perfect for any occasion! There is a section of the Play It Jewel palette that is very bright and vibrant, which I think makes the palette look intimidating at first. In reality, though, this eyeshadow palette is loaded with neutral eyeshadows, both matte and shimmer, that can create just about any makeup look you could ever want! Have a hot date? When it comes to the spring season, I always feel like wearing lighter, fresher eyeshadows, but I went a little bit bronzy today! I would have to say that the @colourpopcosmetics Gettin' Fresh eyeshadow palette is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites! The Gettin' Fresh palette looks intimidating, but that's only because there are lime green eyeshadows that steal the show. There are only about 5 eyeshadows, though, that are truly bright and vibrant, the rest are fairly muted and neutral. As I've worked with the Gettin' Fresh palette, I've found more and more pinky nudes and champagne golds scattered throughout the eyeshadows! As for date night, I feel like a lot of people actually prefer a more toned-down makeup look than a bright, colorful, or dark makeup look. Upon first glance, this is an incredibly intimidating eyeshadow palette, but that is 100% due to the vibrant lime green eyeshadows it contains. Overall, the ColourPop Gettin' Fresh palette is a fairly neutral, easy to use eyeshadow palette! It is filled with fresh neutral tones, some nude pinks, and gorgeous champagne shimmers. The greens in this palette are very bright and stand out, but they are also perfect for adding colorful extra touches to otherwise neutral makeup looks! At the end of the day, I would say that the Gettin' Fresh palette is actually an incredibly usable colorful eyeshadow palette! Ever wondered what the texture is of the @colourpopcosmetics Lux lipsticks? How about what the difference is between Lux Blur and Lux Creme? Today, I am showing you what the difference is between ColourPop Lux Creme and Lux Blur, and I love both formulas. The Lux Blur texture is definitely more matte, but it isn't drying or crumbly like a lot of matte lipsticks. The Lux Creme has more of a creamy sheen that glows and is shinier than the Blur. The Lux Creme transfers a little bit easier than the Lux Blur, but both of them do last a decent amount of time on the lips. If you are more particular about having good coverage, you will have to reapply throughout the day. I LOVE the look of the Mary Phillips contour technique, so today, I jumped on the trend! I am, of course, using all @colourpopcosmetics products, and I am in love with how it looks. The Mary Phillips contour technique, also called underpainting, is where you apply your contour and highlight BEFORE your foundation. Obviously, if you want to add more definition or bronzer, you can apply however much more you want.
