Comedian Michael Dragon joins me to talk about day trading the S&P 500 and other topics related to investing and finance. Usually people who are passionate about these topics aren't known to be the funniest people. Well times are changing, and thanks to r/wallstreetbets there are a lot more finance bros being born every day. Look out hedge funds, retail investors are becoming the new sharks.

Two Years a Soberman | Ep. 88
I've been sober from alcohol for two years and there hasn't really been much to show for it, other than not embarrassing myself in public as often. It helps that I rarely am seen in public. I've become a very private individual and can only relate to the upper elite class. This podcast doesn't count as being personal, as I don't think anyone listens. These past few weeks I've been hyper focused on music production and options trading. Two of the most boomer hobbies in existence.

Door Dashers Are People Too
Handicapped people tend to be better than average people because they were forced to adapt due to their shortcomings. The average person just smooth brains their way through life without evaluating anything. Being called a boot licker doesn't offend me because it's usually door dashers who call me this. I respect people to some degree by default, but if your job is to deliver other people's food I can't say I value your opinions anymore than the opinions of an octopus or a tarantula.

Enjoying Life Without Alcohol
Having fun without alcohol is very hard, because you're thinking rationally. Being rational prevents you from taking risks, like leaving the house ever. Why leave the house when you're just going to be around people who are going to make you regret leaving the house?

Why Do We Choose to Fight Gravity?
Bone density is overrated, and only necessary for chumps who live their entire lives on a rock. What is it the stone age? All it takes to free yourself of this primitive force is to travel a few hundred miles away from the Earth and you'll never need to feel the pain of standing or sitting upright.

Baby Boomers Without Their Own Homes
Believe it or not, not all Baby Boomers are millionaires! Even though it seems like it would be relatively easy to become a multi-millionaire at this age group, there are still many who don't own their own homes.

Are We Ready for a World Without Boomers?
The 2030 problem is when all the boomers are going to be in retirement homes or graveyards, and this means the hikikomori won't be able to leech off them anymore. This is only true for the boomers that are below the average net worth, and can't simply pass their home down to their children. How will these coddled millennials fair without their parents to cushion them from the harsh economy?

Hikikomori: Embracing Having No Life
Hikikomori is a Japanese word for adults who are smart enough to realize that life is better inside. Society and social interaction in general is overrated, and people who choose to opt out of this are ahead of their time.

It Isn't What It Is Not
When somebody asks me about something, I don't assign labels like "good" or "bad." That's too binary. Instead, I'll remind them: It isn't what it is not.

Managing a Night Club is an Easy Job
Being a rich kid is never fun. You get judged by cake eaters who are jealous of your privilege. It's even worse when they find out you aren't working and don't have to. So I'd advise that you at least get some sort of job, like one that has very few responsibilities, just so you can avoid awkward conversations with strangers.

The 2030 Problem | Ep. 85
Trump was arrested and this makes him more attractive than ever as a candidate. Who wouldn't want to vote for an ex-president that went to jail for no real reason? In other news, I learned about Hikikomori, an advanced lifestyle invented by Japanese people. I used to think being a recluse was a bad way to live, now I'm convinced we are the ones who have figured out that avoiding society is actually the better way to do it.

Bernie Madoff vs SBF
Sam Bankman-Fried learned from the mistakes of Bernie Madoff to become the successful entrepreneur he is today. Bernie's biggest error was stealing from the rich. It's much wiser to pull a reverse Robinhood if you want to stay out of prison.

The Reverse Wealth Tax: Sam Bankman-Fried’s Money Laundering Scheme
Sam Bankman-Fried is getting a lot of flak for being a so called money launderer and ponzi schemer, and the reason he's getting away with it is because he was smart enough to steal only from the middle class. At least this was true when I recorded this. I think he's back in jail now.

Chris D’Elia is Funnier Than Hitler
Being funny is a rare gift, and it can't be denied once it has been proven. Some comedy elitists claim that Chris D'Elia is not funny because he does silly voices and not the type of comedy that they were taught is legitimate in their circles. I can get not enjoying his comedy, but to deny that he's funny is simply wrong. Look up his older stuff on YouTube from around 2011.

Stockton Rush's Intent to Profit from the Titanic
Let's give Stockton Rush another chance to redeem himself! We all make mistakes, and although profiting off of the Titanic may not seem right, it happened so long ago that it's practically a forgotten piece of history. What do you think?

Stockton Rush: Villain or Misunderstood Genius? | Ep. 81
A lot of people have been piling onto Stockton Rush, claiming he was a bad person for supposedly not listening to the engineers he fired. That's very convenient for them to do now that he's gone and can't defend himself. I believe there are two sides to every story, and that Stockton might not be the one to blame for the implosion after all.

$43 for 16 Rolls of Paper Towels!?
I know we're in a recession when consumable items cost as much as electronics. For $43 you can buy permanent items like microphones, which could last forever. Spending this kind of dough on something that grows on trees is ridiculous.

Ismay Did Nothing Wrong | Ep. 80
J. Bruce Ismay caught a lot of heat for not going down with the Titanic, which I think is ridiculous. Just because other people died, why should he be shamed into isolation for surviving? The crypto market is stagnant and I'm stuck at home without a car during a heat wave. So there's not much else to do besides learn about shipwrecks and the Erie Canal.

A Day In the Life of a CNBC Addict
