Introducing Timmy Gusto: The Fake Douchebag!
Timmy Gusto started as a stage name to use for stand-up comedy because my real name is too long and hard to pronounce. Now it has morphed into a full on character that talks with a thick Chicago accent and thinks he's the next big thing in show business. It feels like having a split personality and I don't know if it's healthy, but he's going to continue doing his thing until I get the help I need.

The struggle of being a poor comedian
As evidenced in this clip, I am very sympathetic to starving artists who have to work blue collar jobs to support themselves, while also making the time to pursue their chosen art. Whether it's comedy or some other artform.

Practicing Comedy Without Unlimited Money
Being able to practice stand-up comedy every night is a rare thing because people need the free time and money to do so. I have enough money right now to coast for a bit, but if that runs out I will have to figure out something else. I don't like when people assume I'm "rich" just because I act rich. If I was actually rich, I'd be doing cooler things.

Honing My Comedy Skills
Not everyone has the privileges of being able to practice comedy every night which is necessary to become good at it. That's why it's common for jerks like me are able to make it. Hard to go up every night when you are working a real job. When I'm really rich I'll start a comedy club and hire comedians who are not as lucky as me, but have the talent. I'm a generous guy.

Being a professional comedian is simple
It’s not easy to make it as a professional comedian, but it’s not complicated. You just need solid material and the fortitude to travel around trying to get comedy club owners to actually pay you what you’re worth. It’s grueling and I’m not tough enough to deal with scummy people, so I’ll probably never make it unless the world starts embracing the horrible jokes i like to tell.

Why I’ll never be a comedian
I'm done with my jokes after four times, because repetition no longer provides me the dopamine I need to stay on top of my craft. It’s why I’ll probably never be a professional comedian. Doing the same jokes over and over makes me feel like a hack and prevent me from delivering them with the right energy, and it immediately starts feeling like a job. I'd rather just do brand new material or riff the whole time.

Taking off the Mask | Ep. 60 | The Tim Weichselbaum Show
I've decided to stop being a fake person on this episode and it was the hardest thing I've ever tried to do on this podcast. I'm more comfortable wearing a mask, both literally and figurately, even if it's the one Ye wears, because even that is better than being myself. I'm going through a very difficult period in my life mentally. I've stopped using some of my dopaminergic vices and this is forcing me to face my true demons. I have no choice but to improve from here, one day at a time.

Fashion statement of the week: The Donda Mask
This is quite a controversial thing to be wearing, let alone paying $300 for it. But these are the types of artistic decisions I make on my podcast. The Donda mask came out over a year ago and has only gone up in value since Ye has become more controversial.

My Reluctant Return to Chicago | Ep. 59 | The Tim Weichselbaum Show
I finally decided to visit Chicago after moving to Texas a year and a half ago. I was reluctant because there are not too many things I missed about that place. It has a very cold climate this time of the year, and the politics of the people who live there are very skewed from reality. But I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth I felt from the comedians there who remembered me. I was offered spots on many shows, and I delivered on most of them. My comedy is not for everyone, so it takes a lot of commitment to sell it. I hope to visit again in a couple of years.

Bombing Like a Pro | Ep. 57 | The Tim Weichselbaum Show
I don't just bomb when I bomb. I leave a smoldering crater where the stage used to be. The energy of the room will never be the same. If the audience doesn't like me, I make it so they remember me forever. People are nice though, and usually don't tell me how bad I did afterwards. They just politely pretend I'm invisible. Usually just means they aren't talented enough to understand my style. I'm the next Bill Hicks.

Give Life Hell | Ep. 56 | The Tim Weichselbaum Show
Life is hell, so you should return the favor by giving hell back to it. You only get so much time on this planet to do so. Might as well be memorable. I'm not saying you should do anything violent. That would make you a bad person and remembered in a bad way. Maybe you don't believe in good and evil. That's fine, but some of us here are medicated and don't want to be shot by some crazy dude. I mean to be hell in a positive, creative, high risk way.

Ep. 55 | I Don’t Know Who You Are
Don't be rude to other people in the same field as you, even if they are insufferable. It will only make you look bad. People won't forget you if you say something mean to them and suddenly gain some heat. That will make them resent you even more. Treat people how you would want to be treated.

Ep. 53 | The Only Guest is Ye
The only guest who will appear on this podcast is Yeezus. Once I get Yhandi on the program, I will be open to having other high profile guests, like Elon Musk, etc. I'm setting my sights high. I'm currently the hardest working man in the Austin comedy scene, so I'm not worried about achieving this lofty goal. Kanye needs a friend like me, and I will actually let him talk. The ideas he and millions of other people have raised aren't going anywhere until we become mature enough as a species to talk about them with reason.

Ep. 49 | The Voice of My Grandfather
This episode marks the one year anniversary of when I began doing this. I continue to document my ADHD recovery journey and the pursuit for the best medicine. I go into way too much detail about perfect pitch, a very esoteric topic.
I also reveal why my late Grandfather is the most inspirational figure in my life. I played some clips from an interview he did in 1989 about his take on surviving the Holocaust. I'm very proud of him and decided it was the right time to share his story on this platform. If I don't, who else will? Nobody else in my family has a podcast.
