The 'Whole-Everything' is walking with you
https://creativethreads.net/blog/
“When you walk, the ‘whole-everything’ is walking with you,
It's the movement of now.
And we walk, yet we think, and then we lock ourselves in this space of thoughts that walks with us,
So everything is here, but We are not… in a strange way.
So you see it, and then you continue to walk, but you let those… the space of thought, be on its own,
Whether it goes or not, you lose interest in that,
Because there is no real “water” there,
And the real “water” is the wet road, it's the birds, it's the very quiet trees, it's the sky”

The Unavoidable Urgency of Freedom

Let's delve into urgency, more specifically, the urgency in daily life - the urgency of now.
Beyond distractions and trivial matters, what genuinely merits our attention? This question extends to the understanding of freedom.
Freedom, in essence, is a life unchained from the shackles of thought. Life and thought are parallel phenomena. However, the perceived dependency between the two hinders true freedom.
Yet If such freedom is attainable, no quest is more urgent than its discovery, for only in freedom can one find genuine happiness.
Do not misconstrue these assertions as undeniable truths; they are as fallible as any claim. However, the essence behind them is yours to explore.
Accepting life without freedom paves the way for external entities - like AI, other people, or circumstances - to inevitably control your existence.
This lack of freedom eradicates happiness and leads to an inevitable end: death, leaving behind a life so poorly lived, never truly free.
So, where does urgency fit into this scenario? Is it an urgent idea that proposes an alternative, of a more satisfying existence than the current one?
Or, is it the urgent tendency for compliance with an authoritative structure of personal or shared ideas?
Clearly, it is not.
Therefore, you remain with the question of urgency. You scrutinize your current moment from within, pondering what is urgent, immediate, and directly relevant to the now. This question can't be answered, nor can it be evaded.
Rather, If asked with a sense of urgent demand to resolve life's conflicts and misconceptions, it consumes the noise.
A misguided life, dictated by ideas of right and wrong, desires and dislikes, is an obstacle to freedom. Freedom guides itself, flowing untamed by your demands. Within this freedom, beauty and truth shine.
So, if you accept a life of servitude, there's no urgency. You can rest in this state until death. But if a profound yearning to question this existence stirs within you, if the demand for clarity about true freedom is authentic, nothing is more urgent.
So, what is urgent for you now?
Most likely, it is to make money, meet expectations, or achieve goals. These urgencies guide your life, consuming your existence. But why is freedom not considered with equal, if not more, urgency?
In examining my life, I see that freedom is not urgent at all, and the demand for it is false, hypocritical, and partial at best, as long as it's for myself.
The notion of personal freedom is nonexistent.
Rather, freedom FROM your self-perceived identity, IS actual life.
Any urgency directed towards this perception of yourself is vanity, destined to be exposed as vain desires in your mind's space. Freedom FROM yourself, is life itself;
life itself is the urgency that calls for your attention.

'Do you know yourself?' is a question that transcends binary responses, revealing a harsh reality: your self-understanding, if it exists at all, is at best partial.
Why? Because it is continually subject to scrutiny, and is inherently bound by the confines of the questioner knowledge.
The question nudges us towards an exploration of self in the realm of infinity, provoking us to consider our holistic potential. When you accept your incomplete self-awareness, when you recognize your unfamiliarity with your true potential and the field of infinite possibilities, you grapple with a web of constraints - a labyrinth constructed by your fears, biases, and conditioning.
Such acknowledgment transforms the nature of the question; it springs to life. It no longer remains an idle philosophical query, but turns into a compelling exploration, intrinsically linked to our immediate perceptions.
To venture into the expanse of endless possibilities is to live without definitive knowledge and without artificial boundaries. This principle holds true across all domains, be it creation, exploration, or learning. Only when we stop ignoring our limitations, can we expose their inherent fallacy, thereby unlocking the doors to a free creative flow.
Yet, a limitation that is not acknowledged remains unconquered, just as a limitation deemed real remains unsurmountable. The key lies in recognizing these limitations, for only through this recognition can we view them through the lens of creative freedom and see their falsehood.
To illustrate, consider a wall: if you see it but do not touch it, its reality remains untested. However, if you reach out and your hand passes through, you grasp the truth - the wall does not restrict your movement. This understanding is what the creative flow achieves, it challenges and overcomes our perceived limitations.
So, do we comprehend ourselves? Likely, only to a degree. Are we living a holistic existence within limitless potentiality? Clearly not. Are we aware of our limitations? Possibly. Do we question them? Perhaps.
How then, can we surpass a questioned limitation? By inviting the free creative flow to illuminate the path.
In this journey of self-discovery and the pursuit of infinite potentiality, we navigate our own boundaries, continually probing our understanding and embracing the infinite possibilities that life presents.

AI’s True Threat
The Emergence of Artificial Creativity In the hearts
AMIHAI LOVEN
JUL 2, 2023
From the moment artificial intelligence (AI) entered our lives, a worldwide fascination with the convergence of technology, psychology, and life bloomed. As people considered the potential opportunities and risks AI offers, we’ve edged toward a significant revelation.
This revelation is about to expose the true motives concealed in the minds of people, including your own. The driving force behind this intrigue isn’t admiration or curiosity. It is fear. But the cause of this fear isn’t AI, despite its superior thinking and high-performance capabilities. Rather, it is the prospect of artificial creativity.
Every person has the capacity to perform tasks, solve problems, innovate, and grow. This capacity of development occurs through a systematic sequence of thinking, acting, verifying, and improving.
However, without the infusion of creativity, these abilities remain confined within boundaries, unable to generate novelty or significant value.
My focus is on a unique aspect of creativity. I am referring to the singular, non-reproducible spark that ignites all creation.
Many may hesitate to admit it or perhaps have never deeply considered it, but the fear arises from the potential of artificial creativity.
The fear is of AI’s emotional output surpassing that of a human. It’s a worry that AI-generated content, be it a personal letter, a heartfelt poem, or a piece of art, could resonate more deeply with people than if a human were the author.
Imagine this scenario: You receive a letter from someone with whom you’ve had a disagreement. The words they’ve written move you so much that you immediately feel a sense of peace and reconciliation. Then, you discover that the poignant letter was not written by the individual, but by an AI. This is the fear I am highlighting: the emerging dependence on AI for forming emotional bonds.
In my view, this dependency marks a point of no return.
If people start to trust AI with the ability to touch their hearts and those of others, allowing it to tap into the sacred wellspring of creativity, they may gradually lose this capability themselves. They could become emotionally dormant, experiencing a sort of ‘heart death.’ I perceive this as the true risk we face.
For this reason, I urge individuals of all ages to delve into their own reservoirs of creativity. I am not talking about functional creativity, like devising ad campaigns, but the kind of creativity that transcends the mundane and takes one to fresh and novel realms, beyond the reach of imagination.
Without this type of creativity, what significance humanity has? And with it, what fears could possibly intimidate us?
It is crucial to focus on this now, before AI surpasses humans and artificial creativity is planted in the hearts.

This piano piece, like all others performed with such free flow, isn't rooted in prior knowledge, skill, idea, or will. If there is any will involved, it is the will not to base the melody on anything preceding the first key's sound. From that initial note, the rest unfolds naturally, never repeating itself. I hope it resonates with you in an unexplored, profound way...

What do you want? What do I want?
Isn't this an essential question for one to ask oneself? To me, the will is to live undivided, embodying absolute free will, meeting what-is, as it is.
Expressed in words, this is a concept, meaningless and distant from truth.
Beyond words, neither you nor I can truly know it.
Can you desire that which you do not know? Can you not?
In many ways, your entire life is a movement of a will you don't understand, moving towards itself. A revelation of a will that is free from your own divided, peculiar, conflicting sets of desires and conflicts.
Do we want peace?
Obviously not, because we live in the worship of internal conflict and justify the conflicts outside.
Conflict within is any movement of the mind away from what-is. 'I am this, but I want to be that’. ‘Things are this way, but they should be that way.' This is the inner conflict. And outside, 'I support this and condemn that. I encourage this and walk away from that.'
Can there be a peace untouched by the movement of conflict? Can there not?
Isn't peace the absolute, the fundamental absence of conflict? In words, conflict and peace may exist side by side. But in reality, a dark room doesn't maintain darkness when it's lit.
So, what is the nature of peace? And what can you do, or refrain from doing, to come upon and live that peace?
Not to live ‘with’ peace or in peace, but to live as peace itself, an absolute peace.
Certainly, all movements of conflict cannot lead you there. Resistance to what-is, will not bring peace. Condemnation will not bring peace. Avoidance will not bring peace. Nothing can bring peace to that which is not peace.
The two are not competing. As concepts, they may vie with each other in our minds during discussions such as this. But in reality, if there is conflict, there is no peace. And if there is peace, there is no conflict.
What do you want? What do I want?
Do I want to live peace? If this is true, then peace is something that must be lived. If this is merely a game, then it remains a concept, removed from truth.
Discover what it is that you want, and you will see that you live in alignment with those desires.
You live in conflict because you want to live in conflict. It serves the purpose of your separated self, your individuality, your ego.
Only peace wants to live peace. Only peace lives itself.
It's up to you to determine what you want and to accept what-is, as it is.

The question of ‘will’, your will, begs the question:
What do you want?
Is the ‘will’ something you know? Or is the ‘will’ something that knows you?
Obviously, the will encompasses your desires, the things you cling to for a reason, seeking satisfaction or a specific outcome. First, there is 'you', the one who desires, followed by these endless desires. But with or without your desires, aren't you still a product of will?
If so, what is the nature of this will? Is it oriented towards a result, or is your life's movement free of will, devoid of any deliberate movement toward a result?
Do you exist for a reason, or do you exist first, with reasons coming and going, changing as they please?
If the word 'will' represents the flow of things in its purest form, then the question 'what is your will?' ceases to exist.
And who can ask the question, 'What is the will?' I'm not suggesting it's impossible to ask, but who can truly inquire into the will, which precedes any reason or objectification?
Isn't it the will itself posing this question? When the will questions its own nature, it essentially asks, ‘What am I?’ Or, ‘Who am I?’ The only answer that can arise freely, not rooted in predetermined knowledge, reasoning, or justification, is 'I don't know'.
Is 'not knowing' the true will? Is 'not knowing' your true will? Are you the embodiment of a will that doesn't know?
Consider how often you struggle due to misconceptions about your will. You might feel as though if you don't contextualize your will within a framework of reasoning and align it with target results or objectives, you'll fail to function correctly. You fear you'll waste time, life, energy, and so forth.
But is this true? Or are those moments of uncertainty about what you want actually gateways to ultimate clarity? Because in not knowing, the unknown emerges.
Assuming you're reading this, you'll find it leads you nowhere. You remain where you are, not knowing. It reminds you that before the will to know where you are, where you should go, what you should do, etc., the will has already granted you the freedom not to know. This isn't even a paradox; it's the ultimate question that cannot be asked by reason. It can only unfold as it is, now.

Free Creative Flow (FCF) | Meditative art. Now-Is.
Free Creative Flow, also known as FCF, is a type of meditative art that thrives in the present. It's a seamless, enduring expression that blurs traditional limits. Just like time, its start and finish are elusive. FCF's appeal lies in its fleeting nature, with each occurrence offering a unique glimpse into the artistry of the moment.

"Monochrome Moment" | evening street walk in Jeonju
Just now, I returned from an evening walk through the streets of Janju city. My camera was my only companion. I was drawn into the art of black and white candid photography, capturing what simply is - the present moment. There was no pretense. No aim. Just a flow.
The day's journey transformed into a video composition, to which I added a layer of sound - a piano piece I played earlier today, birthed in the same spontaneous way.
I don't claim to know what others may see, hear, or feel when they encounter this. But for me, the entirety of this experience can be distilled into two words: "Now is."

Is genuine authenticity a part of your life?
Consider this:
Your actions, thoughts, feelings, and decisions are invariably influenced by your past exposures and experiences.
Each moment of your day is an exercise, an opportunity to explore the fluidity of your existence.
More often than not, we navigate our days through the lens of familiarity, control, and identification.
In this daily dance, I invite you to ask yourself:
where does honest expression from the unknown find a place in your life?
What facets of your existence emerge organically, without the anchor of pre-existing knowledge?
If you struggle to find an answer, or if the answer is a resounding absence, what does this mean for you? Would understanding this gap significantly impact your life's rhythm?
This exploration leads us to the question of 'meditative art.'
It's a realm unbound by the constraints of knowledge and control. This art is not something that can be mastered through practice. Instead, it flows freely from the fountain of unknowing, providing a transcendence from the fixations, repetitions, and conditioned responses that limit our daily expressions.
The beauty of meditative art—if it's genuine—is its inherent uniqueness; it cannot be replicated or transferred. Its charm lies in the discovery, in the practitioner’s recognition of its independent nature, which cannot be claimed, owned, or credited by anyone, not even by himself (as a “creator”).
For those who seek a glimpse into the world of meditative art, take a moment to observe a tree swaying in the wind, or a cloud sailing across the sky, or a mountain standing tall in its solitude.
These simple yet profound observations provide a gateway into the realm of meditative art, opening the doors to an exploration of authenticity and a dance with the unknown.

The Unseen Side of AI
Between Fear and Authenticity
~
https://medium.com/@observingbeauty/the-unseen-side-of-ai-5143e86bc813
For over half of my life, I've worked as a high-tech entrepreneur, pioneering cutting-edge solutions that have reached global markets. My direct exposure to the dynamics within industry-leading corporations sets the stage for this piece,
though I must clarify that my insights into the internal discussions of giants like OpenAI, Microsoft, or Google are speculative at best. Yet, I firmly believe that the reality behind their closed doors might differ significantly from our perceptions.
Most people's understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), unless they are directly involved in its research or deployment in these organizations, comes from:
- Interacting with controlled, rudimentary versions of AI such as ChatGPT. This firsthand experience, however, only offers a narrow glimpse into the vast, unpredictable realm of advanced AI.
- The other main source of information—media, both traditional and social—often inadvertently amplifies disinformation.
Interestingly, I propose that even the leaders steering these technological behemoths may find themselves somewhat in the shadows.
This is not solely because of AI's inherent unpredictability, or the unexpected leaps in capacity that arise as the technology evolves. Instead, the obscurity arises from a more profound source: the challenge in predicting and governing how this technology might shape and interact with human consciousness.
The element I believe we all should pay keen attention to is:
FEAR.
What will be the incident precipitated by AI that triggers worldwide panic?
Any number of events could cause such a reaction, and it's plausible to think that such an incident could occur within the next few years. When it does, it won't remain hidden. It will be broadcasted, and controlling the subsequent fear experienced by everyday people will be impossible.
This fear will stem from the growing uncertainty of who truly wields control: Is it governments, organizations, AI, or some new hybrid entity?
This fear, coupled with the blurring of lines between human decision-making and AI influence, raises some pivotal questions:
- How can you ensure your perceptions remain genuine and untainted by fear or external influences such as AI?
- How can you discern whether your actions are truly your own and not subtly orchestrated by AI?
There is much more to unpack within this topic, and for most people, the easy way out is to shy away from these questions, a choice often driven by fear.
But I urge you, do not let fear dictate your avoidance.
Instead, face these questions head-on and seek answers. Strive to find that untarnishable core within you—the authentic voice that is impervious to fear and unsusceptible to bias.
Because, as we grant AI more influence over our thoughts and actions, the need to preserve our authentic self, and therefore our way of life, becomes ever more crucial.

Building on our journey into the realms of Free Creative Flow (FCF), we now pivot towards another artistic domain—‘Candid Photography’. It serves as an expressive platform where the attitude of FCF can be deeply experienced and embodied.
Much like writing and music, a high level of expertise in photography can often obstruct the path to the spontaneous creative release of FCF.
The inclination towards reliance on experience, preferences, and deeply ingrained knowledge can create a substantial barrier to free-flowing creativity.
What would an FCF-inspired photography flow look like?
It's a practice characterized by unexpected shots that arise naturally as you navigate your environment—be it nature, the city streets, or anywhere else. This approach is far from premeditated or methodically organized. Instead, you find yourself in a meditative state of simply being present, letting your observations of the surroundings occur organically. The moment might spontaneously dictate a desire to capture a particular scene, a call from the present, detached from any preconceived ideas or past preferences.
The act of capturing a photograph in this state of open, non-judgmental awareness bears its own unique quality. You don't know if the resulting image aligns with conventional aesthetics or whether it has fulfilled your initial intentions. What emerges instead is a more profound understanding of the concept of an image, both externally through your camera lens and internally within your mind.
Photography's inherent ability to freeze a fleeting, ever-changing moment into a still frame mirrors the workings of the mind. This realization unfolds through the practice of candid photography, as you engage in it without a predetermined agenda, embracing the ebb and flow of creation during both the act of capturing and editing images.
The beauty that arises from these serendipitous encounters fills you with awe. This moment of revelation is no ordinary experience—you realize that the eye behind the lens was not driven by conventional wisdom but was guided by the currents of Free Creative Flow. And in meeting this surprising discovery, you inch a step closer to the heart of uninhibited creativity.
Stay tuned, as our exploration into the essence and application of Free Creative Flow continues to unravel. There is more to discover and experience as we deepen our understanding of this remarkable phenomenon.

In this installment of our Free Creative Flow (FCF) series, we traverse the resonant expanse of sound to explore how the practice of FCF unfolds on this vibrant canvas.
As we delve into this aural realm, it's essential to remember that the absence of knowledge—in this case, not knowing how to play an instrument like the piano—can serve as an instrumental advantage in practicing Free Creative Flow. This not knowing allows us to encounter sound directly, unencumbered by preconceptions about right and wrong, harmony and dissonance, or other conventions of musical expertise.
However, similar to writing, this not knowing is both the doorway to and the unscalable barrier within Free Creative Flow. No specific skill can transmute this ‘not-knowing’ into ‘knowing’. Instead, what emerges is a stream of consciousness, a flow that asserts itself in the present moment, following its own inherent rhythm.
One of the singularly appealing aspects of working with sound in the practice of Free Creative Flow, especially when playing an instrument without formal knowledge, is the absence of words. The wavelength that arises from a random sound naturally flowing into the next, indifferent to the sound itself, mirrors our previous discussion on writing.
Just as the white page is the genesis and the writing is the manifestation of the void, so too does silence represent the unknown in music, with the play of FCF manifesting from that silence.
One might argue that as you play, you accumulate experience and knowledge. While this statement holds technical truth, there exists a phenomenon within Free Creative Flow, a beauty that can only be described as a creative movement birthed from not knowing. When this beauty becomes more beloved to you than your own sense of self, you have attained all that is needed in the learning journey.
As you surrender your movement to this free-flowing stream, the solitary skill that emerges is:
The act of listening.
Free Creative Flow cannot manifest without free listening—listening unchained from judgment, expectations, or preconceptions, simply tuning in to the symphony of the present moment.
Stay tuned as we journey further into this unique exploration of Free Creative Flow training. The story of Free Creative Flow is far from complete; our journey together continues.

Diving into the fifth part of our Free Creative Flow (FCF) training series, we explore the intriguing realm of free writing—a realm devoid of intention, purpose, or tangible achievement. It's crucial to note that free writing under the FCF ‘no-lens’, differs substantially from other types of writing.
At the heart of free writing lies the manifestation of a mind teeming with words, reaching out to the raw essence of the present moment. Words spring from an abyss of infinite possibilities, imprinting themselves on paper and reflecting on the Now.
When we first approach free writing, we may grapple with the daunting feeling of not knowing what to write, but within the FCF context, this very 'not knowing' is a cornerstone.
It's not about circumventing a creative block, but mastering the craft of writing amid this space of unknowing. Words penned in free flow offer a reading experience that feels as fresh as if they were composed by the winds themselves.
Writing also aligns perfectly with FCF due to its intimate tie to the present—the 'now.' In FCF, one is guided solely by the present moment, far from ideas, memories, or preconceptions. The act of writing is akin to the gentle glide of a butterfly's wings on a tranquil lake, leaving ephemeral traces that soon dissolve back into the placid waters.
Another pivotal aspect of free writing in FCF lies in the word-centric architecture of our minds. Our struggles, conflicts, and grievances—all are spun from words and conflicting ideas. When our minds encounter words freed from these confrontations, an ease sets in.
Initially, this unrestricted flow might seem strange or unsettling, but with continued practice, the mind grows more at ease, ultimately unveiling the profound depth of Free Creative Flow and the origins of words themselves.
In conclusion, practicing Free Creative Flow through writing reveals the sheer beauty of words flowing uninhibited, without the constraints of intent or purpose. Our journey is far from over, and there are many more aspects to explore. So, stay tuned as we continue discussing the unique characteristics of practicing Free Creative Flow.

Our journey with Free Creative Flow (FCF) so far has primarily focused on exploring its conceptual underpinnings. Now, as we proceed with our training series, we delve into the practical aspect of this exploration.
It's important to clarify upfront, however, that our focus on the "practical" doesn't imply a prescribed regimen or routine. Rather, it's about letting FCF manifest naturally within the fabric of your everyday life.
FCF isn't an elusive ideal or a skill to be mastered, but a fundamental quality of conscious awareness. It emerges from a state of 'not knowing' –
an open-minded receptiveness to the spontaneous flows of creativity in the present moment.
If such instances of uninhibited creativity are already part of your lived experience, you are undoubtedly on the right path.

writing,
brush strokes,
and piano play -
I'll offer insights into how FCF unfolds in these domains. The creative process, in each case, arises spontaneously from a space of silence, emptiness, or 'not knowing'. It is not about controlling the creative outcome but remaining alert and sensitive to the emerging flow.
In the following articles, we'll tackle various challenges you might encounter in your FCF practice, such as during free writing. These discussions are not prescriptive solutions but rather illustrative examples, aimed at familiarizing you with potential issues. The third article in the Free Creative Flow (FCF) training series brings us to a crucial junction that distinguishes the genuine and advantageous training of FCF.
This pivot rests on the incorporation of this training into your everyday existence; it should not be compartmentalized or treated as an isolated zone separate from your regular life.
FCF doesn't stem from specific activities or events but is an inherent aspect of conscious awareness—a state of mind present prior to engagement in particular actions or reactions. Therefore, FCF must be experienced within one's authentic daily life, allowing it to surface whenever IT “chooses”.
Essentially, Free Creative Flow directs its own practice and facilitates its own learning.
This concept might seem foreign to minds accustomed to control, initiation, and development, which is why conventional notions of self-development need to be wholly discarded when exploring FCF. Crucially, Free Creative Flow shares no relationship with self-initiation.
This journey into the heart of creativity is not about forcing but allowing; it isn't about creating but permitting creation to occur naturally. As we progress through this series, we will delve deeper into this profound exploration.
Stay tuned.

As we delve into the concept of practicing Free Creative Flow (FCF), it's crucial to frame 'practice' within an apt context.
Ordinarily, practice implies a drive towards achieving results. However, in the realm of FCF, the practice doesn't aim to attain a result separate from FCF; instead, it's an invitation for FCF to reveal itself.
In other words, practicing FCF is not about working towards an outcome, but providing an opportunity for FCF to arise and present itself. The essence IS the FREE-Creative-Flow, not the result. In this fertile ground of unrestricted creativity, we become learners, drawing insights directly from the flow itself.
So, what does training or practice in the context of FCF look like?
The core of such training is centered around fostering awareness of anything that may obstruct the free flow. This includes identifying elements that block, distort, or interfere with the flow, hindering it from being truly 'free.' Labeling the flow as 'useful,' 'purposeful,' 'valuable,' or judging it as 'good' or 'bad,' all stand in opposition to the true nature of Free Creative Flow.
A practitioner of FCF, therefore, is someone who remains conscious and vigilant in the presence of Free Creative Flow. They observe, allow, and most importantly, learn from it.
In our forthcoming articles, we will explore specific challenges that an FCF practitioner may encounter. However, irrespective of the challenge, there remains one unifying principle: maintaining an awareness of these challenges and allowing the Free Creative Flow to instruct us without expectation, to bloom without a trace of ownership.
Stay tuned for further insights in this FCF-Training series.
