Be as you are | amihai.substack.com | Art of Now
https://amihai.substack.com/p/be-as-you-are?r=1l3ite&s=w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
What does it mean -
'Be as you are’?
Does it imply that there is sort of a “real you”,
Behind the masks, behind the games, behind all efforts, which you can Be?
Does it mean that currently you are not as you are?
'Be as you are’.
Maybe, it means that, whatever you are,
Is not important at all,
And the pointing is on -
Being That, which you Are
Not walking away from it, to ideas, about how you should be, how you are without knowing, and so on.
And what is the ‘Being’ part?
Does it have to do with any action, any expression of Will, any decision, any effort?
If we ask that question -
“What does it mean, ‘be as you are’ ?”
If that question, and the very questioning of it, is not that which we are,
Then it has no place in our mind, consciousness, heart, or life.
But if that question represents the essence of livelihood, of simple and beautiful being,
Then, asking it, with all your heart is:
Being as you are.

Clarity of questioning | amihai.substack.con | Art of now
The capacity to question everything,
And everyone, including yourself.
The capacity to meet reality, without knowing, without aiming, without any sense of direction,
But through great clarity of questioning.
When you know what you question, there are no more hidden sides of that thing which is being questioned.
So, for example,
If you question ‘what is right for you as a way of living?’, given certain conditions, scenarios, constraints etc.
To question that, you have to go through various other questions, such as -
What is a ‘way of living’?
Is there a ‘way of living’?
And the more you ask, the more the question opens, to a point that it doesn’t demand an answer, but you fall in love with the questioning, the beauty of it, the infinite nature of it,
And without intending, clarity is there.
And the more clarity is, the less the question has the nature of -
Impatient waiting for an answer,
But rather -
Endless dwelling in learning.

Unconditional life? | amihai.substack.com | Art of Now
All that we know, in our life,
Is conditional.
If we know happiness,
It is conditional.
If we know love,
It is conditional, too.
Any capacity of experience,
Any capacity of understanding, of learning, of being,
Is conditional.
It’s as if life, meets the condition,
And expresses itself through it.
And one may ask;
Is there a life, that is absolutely unconditional?
Where all that comes to be, is unconditional;
Happiness, love, experience, being?
If that question is asked through life, as an inquiry,
Not as knowledge gathering,
The answer is; no!
The question itself is conditional.
It unfolds based on the knowledge that is presented to it.
So, how can anything meet that question without condition?
There’s only one thing that is always unconditional;
The unknown.
When you don’t know for real,
It is unconditional!

Life has no duration | amihai.substack.com | Art of Now
Life itself,
Your life,
The life that you live;
Has no duration.
All of it,
All your past,
And all your future,
Exists only now.
And no one can measure the Now,
There’s no continuation in the Now,
There’s no time in the Now.
You can see, there was not a single moment,
In all your life,
That was not Now.
Life is short, shorter than time,
No one can measure duration to life.
And yet,
All people, all minds, all humanity,
Deal with duration.
What is this paradox?
Is it just words?
Will you look into it?
Will you, seriously, look into it?

Who am I ? | amihai.Substack.com | Art of Now
https://amihai.substack.com/p/a-light-to-yourself-?r=1l3ite&s=w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
A human being may ask himself,
Or herself, fundamental questions.
Who he is?
What he is?
What is life?
Inevitably, such human being,
Will come upon ideas, made by others,
That supposed to give an answer,
To those questions:
'You are that’, ‘You aren’t this’, ‘Life is so’,
And so on.
Some ideas, he may reject,
And others he may accept,
Partially or fully.
On top of those ideas,
He may add his own ideas,
And altogether this pool of ideas,
Will form the knowledge, that will start -
To cover, to hinder, to block,
The light that came from those honest questions.
Not many people will go and inquire,
Into the self, into the core of their life.
But from those who will, the majority will stop,
When that knowledge will start to form,
And presents itself as truth.
It will be repeated in the mind,
Modified constantly, proven through experiences,
And there will be no remain to -
The original pure question.
Rarely, a human being that got so far,
Will realize, that all ideas,
All knowledge within himself –
Is fake!
Is untrue!
That human being may meet the pointer -
“Be a light to yourself”,
In an entirely different way than other people.
To him, that sentence will be -
The end of knowledge,
The total acceptance of the question as true.
'Who am I ?’ , will come to be.
Not as knowledge, but as a question.

Feeling comfortable with not knowing | amihai.substack.com | Art of Now
https://amihai.substack.com/p/feeling-comfortable-with-not-knowing?r=1l3ite&s=w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
We see that the known, the content of our consciousness,
Prevents direct perception, of what is, of the now,
And acts as a barrier that tries to translate, explain, that which is seen, that which is Now.
But how do we see it? Do we see directly?
Is this fact alive in our perception?
As our perception?
Or do we see it as knowledge, and hang onto it, pretending that we see something that we actually run away from?
Can you feel comfortable with not knowing?
Can you invite not knowing, to your daily life, by not running away from it,
by not resisting it ?
Do you see that any knowledge Can be controlled, yet no one ever could, or ever would be able to control the unknown?
And how do you see that, if you do? Do you see it without knowing?
Or do you see it as knowledge?
It goes on and on, and you are left with the pointing, which is a question -
Can you feel comfortable with not knowing?

What is the heart? | amihai.Substack.com | Art of now
When you say: “my heart”,
Is it a ‘notion’ ?
Is it an idea, a concept?
Or is it a word that refers to anything,
That is prior to you?
Prior to you not in time,
Prior to you in existence.
Maybe, all that you take to be “your heart”,
Is just the projections of your own self,
Your desires, your ideas, your judgment,
Where the ‘Heart’, is what makes all of that possible?
All the projections,
All that is projecting,
And all that is yourself,
Yet, it is prior to all that.
Untouched by that.
“All will change, and the heart IS.” (?)
Maybe…

One may find, that in all frustration, he’s away from himself, wondering as mind, endlessly, carried out by thoughts and feelings,
And that the very seeing of it, while it is so, reveals immeasurable and authentic depth, in him.

The Art of living | amihai.substack.com | Art of Now
If you are asked:
“What is the art of living?”
And, if you see, that the way you live the day, which is today,
Is the answer to that question,
And that right now, that art is taking place,
Is showing its face.
The fruits of it, are that which you are living now,
And if you ask yourself:
What is the art of life?
what is the art of living today?
what is the art of now?
You see that it is the same question.
But don’t stop there,
See that the very question: “what is the art of now?”,
Is the art of now, is the art of living your day, is the art of life, of living.
If in your now, all of your being is a question, then that question, is the answer,
And that question doesn’t need to be asked.
It presents itself,
You watch it,
You look through it,
You don’t answer,
You don’t know.

Did I get what K said?
Probably not.
Why? For duality is a fact in my life. (The me, is watching itself from a distance, failing to see that it’s an imaginary division)
What is the point listening to his words?
That depends on the way one listens:
- Turning him into authority (admittedly or not) will ruin the chance for freedom as with any other authority, as with oneself.
- Finding in his words, answers to life’s questions will destroy the capacity to ask without knowing, which is the only way to truly learn and be a light to oneself.
- Applying true questioning over each pointer he made, and not to try and find or invent an answer to any of them -
Will introduce the unknown to the heart, as the heart.
The need to know, will be washed away. All you see then, teaches beauty.
Life itself is the meditation. Not words. Not K’s too.

What is creation? | amihai.Substack.com | Art of Now
https://amihai.substack.com/p/is-i-dont-know-a-creation-of-the?r=1l3ite&s=w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
If we look at the question:
“What is creation?”
Can we ask it simply, without creating answers to it?
Can we understand, that any creation of the mind, can’t exceed the limits of imagination?
But what created the capacity to imagine?
Where does mind come from? If at all...
Trees are created somehow, birds, animals, people,
But are they created apart of each other?
Or are they all part of creation?
And what would be creation without the word?
Would it be existence?
And can anyone understand existence?
Or, are we all ‘Existed’, are we all ‘Created’?
And does creation bound into time? Or is creation timeless?
Can these questions lead you to:
'I-don’t-know’?
Is 'I-don’t-know’ a creation of the mind?
Enormous freedom in the trust of space | amihai.substack.com | Art of Now
https://amihai.substack.com/p/is-space-the-creator?r=1l3ite&s=w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
If you develop a solution to a problem,
Did you ever see that the most innovative solutions has to do with redefining the problem?
As opposed to developing a solution to a given problem.
And overall, what is the capacity of originality, of creativity, that is infinite?
Isn’t it space?
How would you know?
Would you try, to create anything from a state of total emptiness, total vacancy,
On the ground of ‘no-ground’?
Would you consider creating anything, by letting creation lead itself to itself, without your intervention?
Would you say is this even possible?
Only space that is free of any rules,
Any base, any knowledge,
Any predefined element,
Only that space has the capacity of original creation.
Would you look for that space?
Can you find such a space?
Have you ever lacked that space?
Do you have anything to do with that space?
Aren’t you, with all of your Self, a creation of that space?
And do you see the enormous freedom that comes with the trust of space?
Trust in the sense of,
Acceptance without condition,
Seeing without expectation,
Surrendering and obeying to nothing at all.
Is there free will [#2] | amihai.substack.com | Art of Now
#free #freewill
https://amihai.substack.com/p/is-there-free-will-2?r=1l3ite&utm_medium=ios
Is there a free will?
Have you asked yourself?
Or, did you give up asking,
Because you prefer to rely on someone else’s answer,
Or to invent an answer of your own?
I hope you asked.
And if you had, how did you ask?
Did you ask with Will?
Will to find an answer?
Will to end the question?
Any intent? Any reason to justify?
Or, did you simply present the question within yourself, and watched it?
Without aiming to an answer,
Without justifying to yourself, what’s going to be revealed.
I assume you hadn’t.
But if you had, what did you see?
The question is there -
“Is there free will?”
What is the answer?
You don’t know!
It is so simple to see that, so simple to admit that,
Yet, so rarely done.
The question is there, the unknown is absolute, and you watch the question.
I assume you haven’t done that.
But if you had, what took place?
Did you become frustrated? Did you walk away?
Did you try to aim, control, or change the process?
Or, Could you be still, and amazed by the presence of a question, that reveals a field of unknown?
When a question is asked within yourself, and meets the field of unknown,
It stays there by its own will.
You can’t ask it to stay or to go.
You can’t, and you don’t act upon it.
The question is the unknown.
You watch it by your free will.

Unknown, Now, Yourself | amihai.Substack.com | Art of Now
#selfinquiry #selfawareness
What is it in your life,
That you never met directly, as it is,
Rather, always from a distance?
Always from a distance of time.
Isn’t it yourself?
Isn’t it that whenever you tried to meet yourself,
By trying to see,
Trying to know,
Trying to, so-called expose, the nature of that which you are,
You always did it through knowledge, through exercise,
Through self-assurance,
And you never dared to meet yourself with a total question.
You never dare to admit that not knowing that which you are,
Is the most direct observation,
Of that which you are, by itself.

Is there learning,
That is so direct, and so alive,
That it only generates itself?
Like a flame that consumes its own burning,
Like a sound that is heard, that is vibrating, within itself.
Not when it’s heard, that is already after.
Is there learning of a tree?
Of a cloud?
Of the whole universe?
Is there anything that is not pure learning -
Of itself, by itself, for no reason whatsoever?
Isn’t life, and learning, the same word?
And you, and life, and learning,
Is it the same thing?
And can you be free from any concept of learning?
Can you not know what learning is?
And learn, that is-
Find out, without knowing.
Is there a contradiction here?
Or is there a contradiction in learning with knowing?
Because whenever knowledge is,
Learning ends.
Whenever an answer is given,
The question fades.
Can a question merge, within the space of not knowing, and come to be?
Not, be answered,
Not, be asked,
Reveal itself, within the space of not knowing.
